I think my computer just can't handle having 6 of them plugged in at once.   I got 5 of them today, was using just 1 and my GPU for a week with no problems.  Then plugged in the extra 5 and turned off my GPU so I just had 6 BE's running. They ran great with only 1% HW errors for about 8 hours then suddenly cgminer started spamming "AMU read1 buffering x extra bytes" for all of them. I noticed 2 of them turned completely off (no lights and they were cool to the touch so I knew they weren't getting any power from the USB ports).

They all work fine if I plug them in one at a time, though.  I am going to buy a powered USB hub tomorrow, hopefully that will solve my problem.

edit: I turned my computer off for 10 minutes and plugged them all back in, now 5 of them work at a time with 1 still not getting power.  It's gotta be a power issue. Not sure why I am posting this though lol.

And of course my block erupters start fucking up and stop working right before we have the 15 min and 45 minute rounds losing half my payout for both rounds
Disconnects were doing the same thing to me so I guess you have the same problem...

I have disconnects again... I'm losing 30% of speed... It is OK on other pools... I now need to use 3.x cgminer...

@Bronan you saw this on the main page, right?

"During the testing period the i0coin payout is only 50% of the coin value due to the large number of stales and orphans while the difficulty is low. Once the difficulty stabilizes it will be set at a more reasonable value. This is mainly due to the pool not passing on new mining information when an i0coin block is found. The high rate of this at low difficulty will impact bitcoin miners so I'm trading off less i0coin's generated in exchange for better bitcoin performance."

Its the old java gui which simply loads namecoind and shows that on screen

The new is the better solution but you can do the same trick with the namecoind.exe and set the data dir where you want it however my solution is much easier and better
Cause you can simply open the namecoind.exe let it run then open up a command window in the map where that program is and check from time to time how far the deamon is by giving the "namecoind getinfo" command
Just check if the block number is the same as is being the last reported block, once the full blockchain is loaded simply startup daily the namecoin-qt so it won't need to load hundreds of new blocks
The fact thats the daemon runs smoother has todo that it does not have the overhead for showing info on screen all the time.

For what it is worth about the i0coin i thought i could indeed put the new over the old and simply let it load the blockchain but nope it says the wallet is not compatible
So the coins i got since the mining started are kinda lost this way

I was under the impression that we would get several hundred of coins each day since pool op said it had super low difficulty but i guess either he gets them all or i miss out on something with less then 0,01 per day on these coins Cheesy

I think he collects them all Wink

C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\namecoin-qt-winbin-0.3.64\namecoin-qt.exe -datadir=F:\Namecoin

What are you trying to use?

Yes I am aware of -datadir, I was explaining that the namecoin-qt client was very fidgety with me constantly becoming unresponsive causing it to take forever to download the blockchain, so instead I was trying to use an alternative NMC client "NamecoinGUI" which worked much better except it didn't accept the -datadir command line argument.

@bronan - thank you!  And I'm sorry I can't be of similar help but I can say that I simply extracted the new version of the i0coin client over the old one and it loaded my wallet.dat just fine.

well if you have other bigger partitions you can play with mklink

short guide for usage:

make anywhere on other disc a full move of the coin you are going to change the data map this ofcourse prevents you from loosing your precious Cheesy
in my case i move the map onto my network drive (nas)

so the map on c:\blah blah blah must be gone for this to work
then use this command where you replace the "USERNAME" with the one you actually have

to do this you need to start a cmd as administrator in win 7 and higher you can do that by pressing windows key+X and select admin prompt there

mklink /J C:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin H:\Bitcoin << here the place you want it

you can do this with any coin you have

for instance i moved my namecoin to my nas on H:

mklink /J C:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\Roaming\Namecoin H:\NMC

there i had put my moved the namecoin files into and ofcourse made also for security reasons another copy of the wallet.dat elsewhere

Now comes my problem with i0coin up till now all worked fine but all of a sudden the i0coin client refused to open the old wallet
So i went looking for a newer version of the program and found it
Then i started this newer version to find it refuses to open the old wallet, now on itself something worth nothing is not that bad yet

But if the coin gets some tiny value it would be nice if i could get it into the new version

When i open the old program it crashes and whines about a T-fork and thats it no opening or checks simple poof gone

This gave me another problem as well since i had made a new name on the bitparking to get these coins and ofcourse with that failing address

Does anyone know how i can get these coins to be merged back into the new or are they lost forever like many other coins

Yeah the namecoin-qt client for me took almost 24 hours to download the blockchain, becoming unresponsive quite often while doing so and I couldn't tell if it was totally frozen and should restart it or let it be.  After just leaving it alone, like I said after about 24 hours it was finally synced.  The other client "namecoinGUI" downloaded it MUCH faster and never froze, however I could not get it to use a custom data directory, and I kept running out of diskspace (it used c:/user/PROFILENAME/appdata/roaming/namecoin).  Should have made my windows partition bigger lol.

edit: Wow we're about to hit 24 hours for the current round: MORE POWER TO THE TURBINES!! How much power do you ask??

You can also use Ufasoft Coin for NMC... It has a lot of coins in... But it doesn't work well for BTC... At lest on my computer... It takes ages to download chain...

Oh yes I forgot about Groupcoin..  Does Groupcoin have a nice easy to use wallet?
Sadly not. The Groupcoind seem only to compile under Linux, and the wxWindows Wallet is even more a pain in the ass.
