I just investing some of my salary on ico, i regularly buy 0.1-0.5 eth every month, im looking for gain in value, because altcoins having the best chance to rising rather than bitcoin for now, but also im still buying bitcoin too on monthly basis
We all know that alt come in this market with only one motive to take place of btc. So they make a list where they write down all the lacking of BTC and they work on it to make alt is better then btc and they work really hard on it. See we all know that btc transaction system took so long time where the alt system is very fast the upgrade system of alt is very protective and the algorithm is very strong of compare to btc. Alt has a very good throughput system which is far better then btc.so we can admire that alt has done a great job but still, it has to wait for a very long period of time to replace the btc who knows maybe btc is also upgrading then self after all its the king of them all. Let's see what happen next.
I think that the major advantage that altcoins have is that they are way more cheaper than Bitcoin, and people think that it is a good thing to invest in seeing that when you put in some funds into it, you will be getting so much coins, and when the value of the coins increases, there is a higher chance of getting more profits from your investment.

It's not about the difficulty of bitcoin. But the scalability problem of bitcoin has created a lot of fear and a lot of people are trying to search the blockchain with scalability improvement that used on altcoin. Altcoin has used a lot of the algorithm and you can see that how a lot of them have been building on the different programming language.
Bitcoin right now is merely recovering to its loss, and as an alternative way of profit earning, investing in some alts that are cheaper to its regular price will be more valuable in this days.
Their great plus for me is activity which allow me to do everything that I want with them. Trading is more profitable with them thanks to this characteristic.

It depends what are you looking to get from cryptocurrency. Some alts with low total capitalisation have the potential to give huge profit for you. Some alts like Ethereum have the more complex technology and able to support smart contracts.
Today I compared the prices of popular altcoins and bitcoin on August 23, 2017 and August 23, 2018 and the result of the comparison was not in favor of altcoins. Today, bitcoin is a more reliable and stable means of investment than altcoins.
Its depend of altcoin, some of them are anonymous via TOR, other are POS, other have lower fees There is a lot of other specificity, you can check it on the project website usually. It can be some huge advantage for investments, But as usual, their value are less stable than bitcoin , so care

i also think like that,in some cases altcoin can indeed be relied on to make a profit, because altcoin prices can suddenly be very high (although not comparable to the price of bitcoin) but many people benefit in a short time when trading.
but unfortunately, altcoin rarely lasts for a long time.
Well, from my experience and what I have gained from crypto, I would say no matter what the move of crypto, I would always prefer altcoins to bitcoin going by the fact that one tend to make more profits either from daily trading or long term investment from altcoins than bitcoin

I agree. Altcoins offer advantages that Bitcoin can't and they are also create competition to other coins and Bitcoin. They are a good addition to any portfolio.

Some altcoins created to overcome bitcoin problems. For example LTC is created with faster confirmation time, and cheaper transaction fee.
ETH is created to improve transaction speed by using erc20 token and smart contract in their network. So, there are features that different from bitcoin in altcoins.
Altcoin are a riskier investment but potentially much more profitable (i you find the right ones and with an favourable overall market). The problem is there are too many of them, investors are too divided (and many are useless except for speculation).
On the other hand at the technology level some surpass BTC in many domains (if we look only transfer speeds and costs, BTC is obsolete)
For the moment it's mainly speculation side that's at play, I have the feeling that projects are taking second place

depending on each altcoin. like, some altcoins have PoS systems. some use altcoin as payment. like Tron. allows paying porn sites with Tron (TRX). and various other benefits.
Bitcoin's technology is quite developed on the crypto market. But there are many new Altcoins (like Litecoin), which have a higher transaction processing speed, and are also updated more quickly in the Blockchain system.
