LETS GO ADAB

Hello guys. I just want to ask for your opinion or an advice.
I started trading since May 2017. I calculated all my loss, I already lost 50% of my capital  Sad. Some coins are still in hold.
I just want to ask what can you give to me an advice or any learnings  about trading. I'm using bittrex.

What do you mean by loss? Is it because the coins you buy is decreasing value? If yes then its not considered as loss if you are still holding it until now unless you already sell it at low price. If your not good in short term trading, go for a long term trade with bitcoin at least your money is at less risk

How much did you lose in $ or bitcoin? There is a big difference - you got experience or lose big money.
If first option - do not get upset, this is just the beginning. If second - I think you are to blame. You need to study more where to invest.

First, i would say that your lost is unacceptable. Lost 50% of capital is not small loss.
Then you need you learn what wrong with your trade so you make that much lost.
Learn from mistake make better in future.

You should stop buying new coins when they are increasing rapidly because of pumping. Stick with good and popular cryptos such as ethereum, ripple, litecoin. I also started three months ago but I am making 50% profit because of that.

Certainly true, never run behind the hype! If you want to make high risk / high yield investments, you should do your research and decide which coins have the potential to go up. But you should not try to buy in a hype, thats almost all the time a bad decision.

you made trading for more than half year and just now that your asking for advice,
in that long margin of time you should have learned what you need to know, thats enough
time to find the necessary steps to gain from trading.

If you really need an advice so listen to this,STOP DAYTRADE FOR NOW,and instead make
it long term investment in ethereum,in 3-4 months you may get enough profit to start
trading again, because as of this time daytrading is really risky.

1. You need to stop trading now.
2. You should trade demo until you have good and steady profit with demo then back to real trade.

Btw, which coins are still in hold? You hold buy ro sell trades?

I think demo trading is good choice for you to start learn first before continue to real account.
50% is big amount of losses  so learn first before continue.

If you lose then you will not get anything. Trade is often frustrating.
I suggest to buy back and you should cover your losses slowly.

If you buy a good coin then it is not a loss unless you have sold the coins. I suggest you can lower the average price down by buying more stuff and keep the price a few back. But it all depends on what kind of currency you are trading.

Do not worry about losing 50% of your capital, if you are still holding on to your investments, that is just paper loss, you can still do cost averaging and in time you can gain profit, that's one thing you could for now and the other is cutting loss, just pull out all your investments, and make a new strategy on how you can make profit, go back to your books, and study about investing again, there might be some flaws in your strategy.

I think you should look for a good teacher to teach you about trading. If not, you should choose Bitcoin to invest in long-term. That's a good strategy

Trading is very risky you really have to be knowledgeable on this. Loosing 50% of your capital means you are trading without any study or basis. Investing on bitcoin is a great option to get back the money you loose.

I lived the same thing in this summer and I made myself a new roadmap. I stopped buying new coins and I unserstood the price patter on my holdings. This way I made some money and got rid of my loss.

Check what coins You are holding.
Now go to coinmarketcap and check top 20 coins without forked bitcoins who have steady upward going graphics. If You have them, keep them, if not sell when your coins are going up.
Wait  a bloody dip for top 20 coins. Buy some of them and forgot for at least Year, come back take Your profit.

Try to hold the coins that still have low values for as long as you can especially if it there is no need for money at the moment. In trading, you should always buy at low price and sell at high price so if you have coins with low values at the moment, hold it or you can buy some of it.

I have experienced selling at low price due to financial purposes, after a month the price of the coin suddenly goes up and I loss more than 50% of possible income. It is regretful but I used the money for my tuition so it is not that troublesome but because of that situation, I learned that I should never sell all of it and just use portion that will be enough.

I think you have bought some shitcoins and you are now holding them like babies. Also you might have bought some coins when they are pumping hard and are below your buy price because every pump is followed by a dump/correction.

Try to make early exit during pump and buy coins during dumps.
Going with other coins will lead to the havoc of the loss and try bitcoin this will give you huge surprises in few time and now this is happening because the trader trend is purely toward bitcoin and altcoins are now useless and the another thing that matters is taking right decision on the right time about buying and selling and all the suggestions are enough for the overcoming the loss of the person who posted this thread,

That's not exactly true at all??? ETH and LTC have been rising just as fast as Bitcoin has. Sure Bitcoin dominats about 54% of the total crypto market (according to coinmarket), but that means 46% of the funds are going towards trading alt-coins.

Trading alt-coins can be just as profitable as BTC, if not more profitable if done right. Look at some charts lol.

I think you need to change your trading strategy specially if that is not working from the start, just dont give up and make peace with your losses so they wont disturb your future in which your failure is part of your learning experiences for your future trading adjustment.

I put 0.1 BTC into HitBtc and started trading in September just as the alt coins reached their peak.  Now it’s not even worth 0.01 BTC.  The surge in BTC doesn’t help if you are trading against it.

i advice with you mate wait the price pump 10 percent interest is enough to sell your coins do not wait higher price interest because is very risky have time the coins straight dip dump into the hole.
I am sure most of the coins the OP was holding were shitcoins and he followed some silly advises on the forum of just buying low and selling high thinking that is just what trading is all about. He should check out the coin he is holding and how they have been fairing in the market and even if he wants to be trading shitcoins, he should never hold them for long.

What is important right now, is to go learn how to trade as there is no way he can get better without learning. Dump any shitcoin you are holding. There are lots of markets you can enter now to make your profits back if you are able to learn fast.
