Getting the best profit ahead long term investment is the best but you have to choose 2 to 3 top 5 solid coin in the market cap for you to have a balance the capital investment not a single coin only. But i cannnot assure that 100x in return you can get because that is hard to attain at this unpredictable price.

You are very confused, when it comes to altcoins in which you invest to try to get great profits those coins are not going to be the best coins to hold for the long term since by definition you will have to get a huge risk to invest in them and the coins that are good enough to hold for 1 year are not going to give you 100x profits, and when you take into account the difficulty of the market you will be lucky if you make any profits at all with altcoins. Many of the list I do not like, for me they will soon turn into slag , there are many other cool coins than these
I prefer investing in STEEM. Very volatile coin but it has some strong support levels. For example, from the beginning of 2018, I never saw it below 1$. Recently, at the time of huge correction, it approached the price of 1.10$. Now it is worth 1.50$ and its highest price to sell is at approximately 2.80-3.00$. I think investing in STEEM will bring you income multiple times a year. I think now is a good time to buy STEEM for 1.30-1.50$ and sell it for 2-2.50$.

Now EOS has a very good chance of success in the future. Therefore, I advise you to invest in this coin now.
I think with present situation in the cryptocurrency market, the best investment option will be a long-term investment but one must be selective as not all of them can survive the test of time.
