As I would like to think Bitcoin is as yet standing tall. Hell no, that will never happen on bitcoin. In terms of price and trading volume, bitcoin have that all. Especially on the price, no altcoins can beat or even surpass the price of bitcoin. Let's see what will happen in the next 5-10 years, maybe we can see an altcoin that can surpass bitcoin IF people stop using bitcoin anymore.
It all depends on the angle from which you are talking from. If it is from the angle of investment with huge returns, altcoin is prefered because it can give more than 1000% in a twinkle of an eye. If you are talking from the angle of more secured, it is the bitcoin that comes in here.

It will be not correct to compare Bitcoin and altcoins. BTC is the first cryptocurrency that has given the birth to other cryptos. It will be always number one, and no one token can compete with it.
and the altcoin that I mean is that ethereum, however, for now it's still difficult to beat bitcoin,

Honestly speaking majority carry the vote and with this bitcoin are more better than altcoin because most these altcoins depends on bitcoin to survive.

Bitcoin never gets termed to be the digital gold. From my understanding what happens with bitcoin is pure stabilized growth. There are altcoins that grow high and provide bigger profit margin, but they doesn't have the potential to stand against bitcoin in terms of growth, survival and acceptance as an alternate source for traditional fiat.

No, it is not and there is no chance it to be. Everyday, i am seeing this types of posts here! We know before bitcoin there was no cryptocurrency, so, bitcoin is the principal of the crypto platform! Though altcoins transaction speed, fees are cheaper than bitcoin but still bitcoin is better than altcoins.
I don't think Altcoins are better than Bitcoin, especially if you look at the average of Altcoins, there are so many useless shitcoins made only for profis of the Devs. I agree there are some good Altcoins, like ETH, but finally Bitcoin is still number one.

Today, cryptocurrencies are associated with Bitcoin, and the nearest pursuer has 4 times less market cap. It is still the best coin for long-term investment and I don't think this will change in the future.
