No doubt ETH and NEO are good platforms to invest in. The beautiful thing about platforms is like u are like investing in index funds which are more likely to increase in price (because crypto is new).
You did the right thing . I also try to keep altcoins for a long time . I've invested in the Eos , Eth , Ripple , Neo , Dadi . I'll wait 2-3 years

If you don't rely on the main principle of investors - hodl then you will lose money and will never be able to afford the traders ultimate goal a LAMBO which is short for Lamborghini as we all of course know.
ethereum is one of the best choice of holding an altcoin for 2-3 years. I believe that the more year that come to ethereum, its price will go higher and higher.

Ripple for me, Try that coin, for sure you will gain profit if you hold it for 2-3 years! Because that coin is supported by some famous companies, and i think it will pump in the marketplace very soon.

Waves, Eth and Neo are my favourites.. they will up several times.. you can think them..

Some of my friends told me that Ethereum is a future leader of all cryptos. I suggest that they know what they are talking about. It is quite possible that Ethereum will rise so much. In any case its growth will continue.
Definitely Stratis I bought Stratis at 42k sat and it went to 460k sat max, although now is only 80k sat, it is still 50x in btc value, and 500x in fiat. Long term holding!
NEO is a good investment for 2-3 years. But I would have invested in ETH. These coins have a good future.
I would try to invest in the forks of bitcoin. For example, bitcoin cashe seems a very promising coin. Now its cost is growing by 10-12% per day.
If we talk about super long-term investments, then I would invest half of my capital in NEO, the remaining part would be distributed between the top 5 crypto-currencies.
If you have best coins like ETH, ETC, XMR, XRP then nothing wrong in holding them for long term as it will surely give you profits in future and you won't regret on your decision for sure.

ETH, NEO, OMG, QTUM and WAVES are great ones to hold for 2-3 year long period. At the end, they might result in excessively high prices. They will gain momentum from the markets clearly. They all will be huge in the future.
If you believe in fairy tails where a hero's granny bought 1000 Apple company shares in the 1970s and left'em to the stories hero and this made him a millionaire so go and buy any tokens with $ 0.01cost, hold'em as long as you can and pray all the time and maybe one beautiful day you'll be a wealthy man or maybe your descendants will...

I am holding ethereum, byteball, digibyte, monero and ripple at a moment as I feel there will me massive rise in the price in next year and holding even longer can be more profitable.

2-3 years is a very long time. It will be useful to look again after waiting 1 year
