ETH looks like a great buy around $200. Couple of other smaller ones I like but I don't really like to recommend those as they're basically a gamble.
As Bitcoin grows stronger and the influence of Bitcoin with Blockchain technology makes the whole world more attractive. And then the Altcoins in turn created a diverse and potential crypto market. So whether the future Altcoins will develop depends on the revolution of Bitcoin with all of humanity. And i think the Altcoins will be successful.
In a stable period of the market almost any altcoin can grow if it has a demanded product. For example waves or NEM.
there is enough of scope of altcoin to expand. several altcoins exploded in ultimate couple of years (as referred to within the comments above) and plenty of to come in upcoming days. For ultimate 6 months, we can see a boom in altcoin. even though, maximum of them will die in couple of month.
for now maybe we are also not sure there are coins that will experience a good increase, but basically we also have to be smart and choose the coins we will buy. I suggest to buy ethereum because this coin has a very good network and is very supportive solid, maybe next year this coin will experience glory.

EOS, NEM, RIPPLE
These coins have a very strong team and the platform.
Nano is doing great and the potential is huge, it could be in the top 10 in the near future , just make sure you follow the development!
Could be. It is so hard to tell. It's a make it or break it environment and many coins are striving to remain in the market, but not all of them are so good. Some are just copy cats and people don't actually need as many of them.

I believe in cryptocurrency, that's why i invest 50% of my sallary in Ethereum every Month. And for 2018 i have 5 recomend altcoin for you: Ethereum, EOS, NEO, Monero and Ethereum Classic. I suggest you to invest your money right now, because the price is low. Why I suggest Ethereum? For me those alts that are there for years. Like neo, eth, trx, ripple, etc. They are there for years, so there is nothing that these alts would go, but to grow even more. Some project are just hype and after several months, its gone.. so go for alts that are there since the beginning of cryptomania.
You can take the first hundred on coinmarketcap and safely put. All these coins with a growth of the market will grow too. A question in that on how many they will grow up.
I think, many altcoins will survive but not all altcoins. And these altcoins will continue to grow. My favorite five coins, Eth, Ltc, Neo, Ada and Trx. Specially, I'm believing these five coins.
I think the first altcoins you should expect to grow are the top 10 altcoins. There are too many altcoins and I believe not all of them can survive between these big ones.
Yes I agreed with that, but my choice of altcoin is sure that it will be brought up when btc increases. 
It seems to me that now is a very good time for investing in ETH. The price of this coin has fallen several times and I am sure that it will go up in a few months.

2.DASH
3.IOTA
ETH, ADA, EOS - surely, they are mastodonts, XLM maybe as well. Others - I'm not pretty sure in that, it will become harder to survive for alts in future.
I have in my portfolio all these coins except ADA, I plan to buy it today. Soglsen with you that all these coins have great potential for growth. And rather low risks in comparison with the others.
many altcoins return to earth. But if you choose from the current situation, maybe this is a good opportunity to get another improvement later this year. And I think Altcoin Top100 will have almost the same potential.
Yes, if you are considering only investment, I think now wait until the market is determined and then buy when the market bullish attitude that all the coins are growing, so here just buy the whole top and all

until now no one has been able to predict for certain about the future of any coin with crypto currency and I think that currently depending on the investor can take advantage of the opportunity to get benefits, of course with confidence and patience many thought XRG was it in December, then it was Tron, then people thought less

I'm afraid that NEO can repeat the fate of ETH. Because of the large amount of ICO that comes out on this coin, it can later lead to its depreciation.
