Im not sure if you fellas have seen this picture. Andy is getting sharper, looking way better than five months ago.

What do you think? Is it an advantage of Ruiz or should it be easier for AJ to break a smaller American-Mexican wall?  Grin

Meanwhile, Andy Ruiz just got a lifetime cheque of $13 million in this rematch alone. Man, I guess that was more money than all of the 42 prize fights Beyonce Wilder had. Beyonce wanted Ruiz to repeat over AJ for him to unify the belts. If Ruiz is wise enough which I believe they are, they will demand bigger money, bigger share and probably a Mexican city as the venue. Ruiz team for sure knows they will remain an underdog against Wilder. But before this, let's watch Ruiz spank AJ again.
I agree with you about Ruiz demanding bigger money for rematch but that $13millionyou mentioned is not only the money he's going to make through the fight but changing the fight venue to Mexican city is something I don't agree with and Ruiz spanking AJ again cause Ruiz weight lost strategy will affect when the two clash even Mike Tyson said it.
Mike tyson? that's my idol in heavily back in the day but he is just a boxer, Ruiz trainer knows better I guess, they would not do stupid things that would put Ruiz at risk of losing his title.
As you have said, Mike Tyson is a fighter who have be in the ring so many time with different boxers as well and the only person who can tell us what it is, is people like him who have been through it.
Mind you, Ruiz trainer job is to prepare him for the fight and he won't enter the ring with him when the fight happen.

Ruiz team would really do their best to prove out that the previous fight wasn't a fluke but its hard to believe that AJ doesn't make any preparations too to regain on whats lost to him specially his pride.

They wont really give out the belt without giving a goddamn fight.December is fast approaching and people are being too hyped to this fight.
You're but Anthony team are not playing either and you know it either that the first fight between the two shouldn't have happen in the first place. Besides, Anthony was busy doing something else instead of getting him ready for Ruiz fight.
Isn't that a fluke?

Andy Ruiz Playing Risky Game Ahead of Anthony Joshua Rematch

For Andy Ruiz, June 1 was the stuff of dreams. But it wasn't all magic and unicorns; part of it was like showing up to high school in your underwear.

Well that was a whole load of fluff about nothing.

Sure, Ruiz is the first Mexican heavyweight champion, but the guy has about as much personality as a sack of potatoes.

All he does is repeat the same lines over and over. "I'm blessed", "working hard", "first Mexican heavyweight champion". I actually hope AJ beats him just so he can go back to not getting any screen time.

That said, AJ won't have an easy job.

Right, another way to spread their money across is thru sports. And I believed that this is just the beginning, no doubt that the stadium that is being built for this fight is going to be exotic and this is just one step for them to sponsor another big fight in the future.
They won't built it for nothing, of course they are expecting a profit on it for long term.

Big fights in boxing are happening mostly in the US only, now if we want it world class, we should show it to the world and I just like what the promoters are doing with this rematch, it will surely gain more popularity not only for these 2 fighters but on the boxing as a whole.

There was indeed a lot of billionaire from the Arab nations which will also like to add more money to their wealth cause sport investment is among the quick scheme.
The Arabs are investing in sports for a long time, they own majority of the shares in Manchester City and Arsenal as well as other clubs and they completely own, PSG and club Malaga, you will see many big time investments from Asian countries and Middle Eastern countries in sports around the world and that is going on for many years.

With that been said, i dont see any reason why fans should underwhelmed because the hardest part of the fighting stadium which Joshua and Ruiz will use are already completed.
They are known to built exotic eye catchy buildings and they will create an entire stadium to conduct the event and they are planning to attract sports and tourism in a large scale.

Latest images of venue for Anthony Joshua v Andy Ruiz Jr 2 has fans underwhelmed

Heavyweight rivals will have their rematch in a specially-built stadium in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia on December 7

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/boxing/latest-images-venue-anthony-joshua-20882448

What is there to be underwhelmed about? It's an incomplete stadium, I doubt it is anywhere near complete yet. There is still almost a month to go until the fight, and it doesn't actually take that long to build a stadium.

Either way, the capacity of the stadium isn't as large as Wembly or MSG, but there is a large number of Saudi's that are looking to experience the thrill of boxing and are willing to put the money up to built an entire stadium for it.

Let's not complain until after we see the final product.

Haven't read the article but if isn't as large as Wembly then probably this is just a test on how Saudi's are going to react in this fight. So probably in the future they will build more boxing stadium if this Joshua vs Ruiz will be a success. Remember that there's a lot of billionaires in Saudi and are willing to invest if they see that their country could be a boxing mecca in the future.

I also think Andy Ruiz will destroy AJ again. Eddeh mentioned AJ will be ready in this rematch, well prepared and is sparring with small fat and chubby boxers. They forgot Ruiz is not chubby anymore. Cheesy

A possible bad scenario for Ruiz here is the way he lost a lot of weight in this rematch. His power, endurance, strength and durability might be affected.

A power puncher will always remain a power puncher in whatever weight they have, one example of this is Manny Pacquiao, he carries his power from flyweight to welterweight, even if Ruiz, don't have those fat, he will still carry those power in his punches, his handlers thinks that he needs to be more light so they can get into Joshua much faster.
Nah. Manny Pacquiao is a different case, that is why he is the only 8 division champion in boxing history. But there is a difference mate. Manny Pacquiao scoring knockouts are things in the past when he was at the lower divisions. Manny Pacquiao only scored three knockouts out of his thirteen wins at welterweight.

I read an article many years ago. It was a scientific research on boxers and their fats. There was a certain fats percentage where most boxers are successful. Of course too much fat in the body is not good too. But it is proven that most fighters with very little fats in the body and are heavy muscled tend to tire faster. Their arms will become heavy in the later rounds, and the effect of their power punches are not that lethal anymore. And these heavily muscled fighters prime years are shorter.

With Andy Ruiz losing weight, i think it will favor AJ. Ruiz won the title with that beer-belly bottom and he is used to it for a long time, then why changed it when it ain't broke.
The action  to lose weight was part of he strategy and the team Ruiz are thinking it will favor him, they saw some weakness on him in the first fight so they want to correct that because I am sure they are after of a very convincing win this time around.
I agree that Ruiz needs to cut some weight. But it is also a possibility that losing too much weight is not good for him. We will know the answer come fight night.

if he gets defeated now he will start eating again and call out for a trilogy and it all depends how much money they will be making in their second fight .
Lol, I think its likely to happen because that diet was not effective on this rematch.
He beat Joshua at his original built so let's see if his new built now would help him to win the rematch, otherwise its just a waste of time and effort.

I'm really counting that this could be a better fight compared to the first.
A trilogy would be nice too, but I have a feeling Joshua will again suffer a loss for the 2nd time, the public would not agree but me and Ruiz will prove them wrong. haha.  Grin Grin

A third match is definitely out of my mind. There was difficulty making this rematch. An AJ victory means Eddeh will not be giving a single inch on Ruiz camp to dictate the terms of a possible 3rd fight.
