It's a good and well  discipline fight for Joshua as he won the fight via unanimous decision, he is now the second time world champion, now we can talk of potential match again Wilder who experts think should finally happen.
There will be a third but I don't see it happening soon, here's the interview.

Joshua won by majority decision, 119-109 and 118-110 (2x) where the score of the judges.

I think Joshua played very smart here, using his advantage, Ruiz get tired chasing him and I think the extra weight might have some effect on Ruiz on the second half of the fight and he wasn't able to cut the ring enough to corner Joshua.
It was a beautiful fight and Anthony Joshua controlled the fight really well and in this fight AJ controlled everything and Ruiz was not even able to land ant combinations throughout the fight which is incredible considering Ruiz controlled the first fight because of his fast hands and combinations and he completely shut down his game and what impressed me is his after fight speech as he was humble in defeat and humble in victory and Ruiz asked for a trilogy, i am not expecting Anthony Joshua to give a trilogy right now but we might see that in the future.

This is actually a good fight, no confusion who really wins because it was a clear victory for Joshua.
And no bashing from the one who lost. But sometimes boxing fans want something to argue with after the fight.  Tongue
Boxing is a sport that a lot have already withdrawn their interest because of so many loopholes going on.

Who's watching the fight now? Seems like Joshua knows how to clinch already and seems to be leading the fight.

Jab, jab and clinch, the game plan of Joshua as expected. i thought it's a boring fight but it is not. Hang on there AJ Smiley.

Edit:

Ruiz, just can't corner AJ here.

I was watching it.
Joshua was much better in this fight.
I think he won all rounds and just kepr Ruiz at distance

I haven't seen the match yet and pretty much I don't have it in our regular channel but I have high hopes for Anthony Joshua and seeing how massive Andy Ruiz Jr. gets might have been the problem for him but Anthony Joshua just played very safe and smart here despite that he can take head-on Andy Ruiz he doesn't go beyond that and seeing that the fight ended up in a Unanimous Decision makes me realize this, but pretty much I need to watch the whole fight to make my opinion valid, and Congrats to Anthony Joshua for the win.

2nd edit:

And that's it, AJ have reclaimed the belt from Ruiz via unanimous decision. 118-110, 118-110 and 119-109 was the score card.

Congratulations on those who believe on Joshua and bet on him.

@Stadus, thanks for the heads up man, 5.60 odds is not bad. My bet is not that big though lol.

2 hours left for the fight.
This looks like a classical fight of tall athletic bodybulider type guy against regular overweight guy.
I can't help but cheer a bit for Ruiz. Smiley

Ruiz is a true meaning of "appearance is deceiving"  Grin

Joshua is more prepared to this fight than he was in the first one. Ruiz has nothing to prove, but neither going to "sit" in defence.
This fight will end with judge decision, not with a KO/TKO.

I reckon he's going to do it. It's his opponent who has everything to prove and to have your smooth ascent stopped like that is going to throw a lot into question. He's going to be much more make or break whereas it's all gravy for Ruiz. It looks like plenty of boxing pros are settling on Ruiz too. Anyway, not long now.

I'm intrigued to see what'll happen here.

I've just been reading about the previous contest and was struck by most of the people talking about it acting like there was something wrong with Joshua rather than him just being crap.

I can't really think of any other sport where people speak like someone's already won and barely acknowledge the challenger unless it's a blue riband event. It seems to be the norm for boxing.

I'd like to see Ruiz kick botty again.

it will be very very interesting what kind of strategy Joshua is going to employ but we all know the truth on Mike Tyson's quote " Everybody got a plan until they get hit" so let's see what kind plan he has.
Andy Ruiz was playing mind games with Anthony Joshua about trimming down for the rematch and now when the weighs ins are over,  Anthony Joshua weighs less than his previous fight while Andy Ruiz is weighing more  Cheesy, looks like Ruiz was playing mind games with Anthony Joshua and everyone was talking about Ruiz slimming down and the impact and the quote by Tyson is true, the game plan will be there until you get hit and we will see in a few hours that who will land the big punch  Cheesy.

Eyes wide open when Ruiz weighted heavier than his previous fight. Don't be fooled. Ruiz became slim mid training camp and then bulked again because of added muscles, not fat. AJ will be rattled every time Ruiz touches him or in an attack position. Nuff talking. Time to put money where our mouth is.

And still!

The rumors were true about Anthony Joshua getting knocked down during the sparring session during the first fight and the fighter who knocked him down was Joey Dawejko and the promoters and Anthony Joshua's team did not want that to be public knowledge and carried on with the fight and he suffered his loss, if you are fighting as a champion and if you are not 100% you will get smoked and i am betting for AJ to win the rematch as he will be well prepared.
If Ruiz wins this rematch then he will be a much bigger superstar than he is now.

So the boxing community is tied, however, odd makers and bookies and boxing fans favoured Anthony Joshua to win the fight. So this match is going to be very interesting specially on how Ruiz weigh for this fight.
Looking at the way Ruiz defeated Joshua in the first fight with his multiple combinations and his hand speed is incredible who will land 8 to 10 punch combination in heavyweight division, in lower weight division we will see those type of combination but Ruiz is something different and so is the reason everyone is waiting to see this rematch as no one knows exactly how they fight again.

So here are the predictions:

Andy Ruiz-Anthony Joshua Rematch - 51 Predictions on Outcome

Quote
Ahead the what many consider to be the biggest heavyweight fight of the decade between Andy Ruiz, Jr. and Anthony Joshua, DAZN collected predictions from fighters, celebrities, and boxing experts. Below is a collection of these predictions which included surprising selections and intriguing insights from some of those who know boxing best.

51 predictions were collected including selections from 26 current fighters, highlighted by seven current world champions and 11 fighters in the heavyweight division. Most notably from the heavyweight ranks, Saturday’s challenger Anthony Joshua gives his prediction for the fight and current WBC world champion Deontay Wilder gives his take on tomorrow afternoon’s rematch.

The results exemplified the 50/50 nature of Saturday’s contest as the results were dead even. 22 people predicted that current unified world champion Andy Ruiz, Jr. will successfully defend his belts in Saudi Arabia, while 22 others pegged Anthony Joshua to emerge as two-time unified heavyweight world champion. Seven of those polled were too torn to make a decision at all.

Joshua is going to destroy this guy. I’m going to have a bet on Joshua to knock him out in round 3. No way AJ is complacent this time. He’s ready to take back his belts.

Round 3 is too early for Joshua to knock-out Ruiz. He would not go toe to toe in the early rounds, he will use his length and that jab to keep Ruiz at bay and somehow soften him in the later rounds, that's that time to look for a knock-out. I'm betting here that the fight would go the distance and Joshua will reclaim his belt.

yes, I am also shocked to see the results of the body weigh yesterday. but I see his body shape is much better now compared to the first fight. maybe his increased muscle mass caused Ruiz to gain more weight than in the first fight. FYI Andy Ruiz weigh at the first fight is 268 pounds and at the second fight his weigh is 283 pounds

The only advantage of Ruiz here is his mass, m x a (acceleration) = Force.

But that is, if he can accelerate in time that Joshua can't react. In the picture it doesn't look like he has attain some mass though, so maybe Ruiz says that he will go in this fight regardless of his weight because he knows that he can beat Joshua here.

In comparison though, Joshua weigh in less in this fight, just a shade about 237 lbs, 10 lbs less that their first fight. So he will be using his speed here in the first couple of rounds, being the lighter of the two and see how it goes for him. He might not go on an early knock out, but he will try to soften Ruiz and use his jab and upper cut.
Yupp, whatever the factors that can affect today's fight but certainly this fight is worth watching, I might make a bet on the live betting fight today. judging from the current odds, the market tends to favor that AJ will win this fight lol

Both these fighters are under immense pressure for Anthony Joshua he needs to win the fight to show that the first fight was just a fluke and for Andy Ruiz he has to show that he is not the Buster Douglas in this era to make an upset and then die off after getting all the notoriety of getting a major win and now the weigh ins is over and the body transformation of Andy Ruiz is evident  Cheesy and i am watching the fight as a boxing fan and not waging any bet.
