Hello! I have a translation from 2 exchanges of confirmations 0. The new wallet does not stand on windows under any circumstances!

I'm really looking forward to an update that will fix the problem, and I hope that I'll see my 1337coins... Embarrassed

Shieet and I was coming here to make sure I go through the process correctly. I suppose its a good thing I decided to delay the transition. Unfortunate that others are having

problems right now, but hopefully we can fix it soon. Btw does anybody know why we have to transition to a new wallet? I get the APR is halving but could that not work on old one?

Console commands worked

1º Old wallet
I used the command
dumpprivkey <1337address>

2º New wallet
I used the command
importprivkey <1337privkey> [label]

I dont understand
The address has been transferred but my balance is at 0? some command to update the balance?

oops I forgot. I think you need to run wallet with -rescan after importing address. If on windows create a shortcut for the 1337-qt.exe and edit the properties of the shortcut and find where it says "Target" add -rescan after the path to the 1337-qt.exe
Ok, after that it run for few whiles then stop responding and crashed. Can't open it normally now, acting like before when i switch wallet.dat to old one.
It will become unresponsive but you need to let it run for awhile. -rescan scans all blocks downloaded so it can take awhile.

old wallet.dat cant be used with new wallet 1.9.0.0 - instant crash.

using importprivkey also crashes even with -rescan  Undecided
Open the old wallet and export your private keys. Then in new wallet use the importprivkey and wait awhile. It may become unresponsive but just let it sit. It took about 2 minutes for me to import a address.
Well, I can't get to GUI when rescaning, Splash shows "Reading addresses" and then crashes.
Addresses were imported to wallet by importprivkey, then wallet restarted and opened by shortcut with -rescan, now it shut down wallet when rescan finishes and leave it inaccessible for next lunch with nornall icon or shortcut :/
Hmm did your wallet crash while it was importing the private key? It sounds like the wallet.dat for new wallet got corrupted. I was able to import 1 private key then rescan and it worked but when I tried importing my wallet dump file it crashed after 1 hour and 30 minutes and now wallet crashes before GUI is shown.
Yup, got crash after importing 2nd priv key, then did restart and load another two with crash. After restart all 4 imported+one new addresses were present but with 0 balance.
I've got same issue as You when I've tried -rescan. Right now we need to wait for dev response until we're hopless I guess on Windows :x
Hmm yeah I think the only thing we can do is wait for xenonflux to release a fix for it then. In the mean time I will keep messing with it and see if I can get it working.

Edit- I'm going trying splitting my wallet dump into multiple files since it has like 10k addresses to import.

I think everyone just needs to be patient while xenonflux is working on a solution. I'm sure he will get the job done soon so in the meantime we just have to wait as everyone is in the same situation and there is not point getting upset and complaining in here as xenonflux already knows there is a problem with the updated version of the wallet.

And for people who think I am Velvet, well I can tell you now that I'm not. I have had many messages asking me this so once and for all I am not Velvet. I am just a regular person who supports 1337 coin.

If xenonflux have identified the problem, I will calm down .. what will happen now?
a new version of wallet? What do we do ... we use the old wallet until we solve the problem?

I understand what people are saying, but right now there isn't anything we can do about it and just let xenonflux work on a solution. I would be using the old wallet to stake as those stakes will most likely be gone once the new version is up and running 100%. So right now I am not staking and just waiting patiently for xenonflux to fix the problem.

Hello everyone  Wink I have a problem

Backup my wallet

I Copy 1337 folder C: / Users / / AppData / Roaming to my Desktop

I copied the wallet.dat from C: / Users / / AppData / Roaming I deleted everything ...

I installed the new wallet and erased the created wallet.dat and put the old wallet.dat I run the new wallet .... result ... give me error .... what am I doing wrong  Huh Huh

____________________________________________________________________
If not copy the old WALLET.DAT and leave the new WALLET.DAT created the wallet works but I get without the coins and with new adress ... it does not interest to be left with nothing Undecided Undecided

Even though I copied everything and managed to put the old version and it was as it was before (I recovered everything but I have the old wallet) Cool

Does anyone explain how I put the new version without losing the coins?  Huh Huh

I need help, please
I haven't tried yet but you can probably export your private keys using the old wallet then use the new wallet and import the private keys.

If you still do not try it, it's better to try, but I recommend copying everything to go back to the old version if it does not work
Maybe need a video on youtube to help newbies

command on the console:
importwallet

or

importprivkey <1337privkey> [label]

How do you export/import?   Huh Huh
Do you need to encrypt the wallet to do this?  Huh Huh

To export a individual address you can use the console command "dumpprivkey
". Or to dump the whole wallet you can use the command "dumpwallet "
To import it you can use either of those console commands you listed above.

I am still working on few things. Everything is working fine on linux. If you're linux user and are stuck behind, please use the bootstrap from here https://github.com/Velvet78/1337/releases/tag/v1.9.0.0 ..Windows users can use the bootstrap as well...i am still verifying few things on windows..stay tuned.

What is the bootstrap? How do I use bootstrap? Huh Huh
I'm a Windows user.
1. Download the snapshot from above.
2. Make a back up of your wallet.dat
3. Delete everything in the 1337 folder except your wallet.dat
4. extract all the files and folders from the zip file to your 1337 folder
5. Start the wallet and it will use the bootstrap/snapshot

In my case it still crashing when using bootstrap with old wallet.dat, when I delete it from Roaming folder it goes through but i can't import old wallet.
In console I've got "Cannot open wallet dump file (code -8)".
The bootstrap is to sync faster. It is all blocks up to when the bootstrap was created.

If it can't import the wallet dump file you may need to import each address manually with the importprivkey command. The importprivkey command works for me.
