I am still working on few things. Everything is working fine on linux. If you're linux user and are stuck behind, please use the bootstrap from here https://github.com/Velvet78/1337/releases/tag/v1.9.0.0 ..Windows users can use the bootstrap as well...i am still verifying few things on windows..stay tuned.
In my case it still crashing when using bootstrap with old wallet.dat, when I delete it from Roaming folder it goes through but i can't import old wallet.
In console I've got "Cannot open wallet dump file (code -8)".

Hello everyone  Wink I have a problem

Backup my wallet

I Copy 1337 folder C: / Users / / AppData / Roaming to my Desktop

I copied the wallet.dat from C: / Users / / AppData / Roaming I deleted everything ...

I installed the new wallet and erased the created wallet.dat and put the old wallet.dat I run the new wallet .... result ... give me error .... what am I doing wrong  Huh Huh

____________________________________________________________________
If not copy the old WALLET.DAT and leave the new WALLET.DAT created the wallet works but I get without the coins and with new adress ... it does not interest to be left with nothing Undecided Undecided

Even though I copied everything and managed to put the old version and it was as it was before (I recovered everything but I have the old wallet) Cool

Does anyone explain how I put the new version without losing the coins?  Huh Huh

I need help, please
I haven't tried yet but you can probably export your private keys using the old wallet then use the new wallet and import the private keys.

If you still do not try it, it's better to try, but I recommend copying everything to go back to the old version if it does not work
Maybe need a video on youtube to help newbies

command on the console:
importwallet

or

importprivkey <1337privkey> [label]

How do you export/import?   Huh Huh
Do you need to encrypt the wallet to do this?  Huh Huh

To export a individual address you can use the console command "dumpprivkey
". Or to dump the whole wallet you can use the command "dumpwallet "
To import it you can use either of those console commands you listed above.

What is the bootstrap? How do I use bootstrap? Huh Huh
I'm a Windows user.
1. Download the snapshot from above.
2. Make a back up of your wallet.dat
3. Delete everything in the 1337 folder except your wallet.dat
4. extract all the files and folders from the zip file to your 1337 folder
5. Start the wallet and it will use the bootstrap/snapshot

I'm having exactly the same problem. If I overwrite the wallet.dat file, the whole thing crashes immediately on startup. I managed to get the wallet started by adding the conf file, but I'm at a loss as to what is happening here.

I'm not the only one after all.

Does anyone explain how I put the new version without losing the coins?

I need help, please

So I downloaded the new wallet but when I try to start up it just immediately crashes without even pulling up the GUI. Anyone else having the same issue?
after backing up your wallet delete the wallet.dat in your /AppData/Roaming/1337 folder

Nice seeing that from a 22 activity account.

Also two other people with legendary posts have stated the same thing if you bothered reading. All you have to do is send a PM to velvet to confirm what I said (he logged in yesterday), but feel free being in denial. Why would I spread FUD on a 1 sat coin? I am giving facts and do are others.

I AM TELLING YOU TO PM THE COINS DEVELOPER.

Feel free to disprove me. JUST SEND HIM A PM.

Youre talking to a turkish scammer who managed to hack his account / bought it from the hacker..
Are you really that stupid?
READ THE TRUST RATINGS!

I get it. Youre pissed about something.. banned from some slack maybe?

Velvet is the main developer. And he's handling an emergency situation. You know.. Life?
Velvet's wallet is still online and staking.. You know the Leetdev address on 8th place on the richlist?
Would you leave your project, but still keep your wallet online to stake it? Wouldnt you dump the shit out of it before you left?

The rest of the team is still active 24/7 and the next walletupdate is right around the corner.
And for your information. The github password is in safe hands. Not only Velvet's hands.

Now.. Will you remember to quote me next time you write bullshit? Or are you afraid your nonsense bullshit wont be taken seriously with it included?

Ya sure bro he got "hacked" a lead develop getting hacked on here with no other way of communication. His slack for hacked too? his email? he doesn't have the phone number of other developers to tell them to say he got hacked?

This is being put under the rug new client created by another takeover by xenon.
Velvet quit and that's final.

1 more thing, if you don't "stake" then open your wallet after a year.......you will still the reward. Guess you didn't know that. Also lady satoshi owns his wallet if you didnt know that.

Do you remember the Bitmain server that got comprimised around that time? Followed by attempted logins on various exchanges some weeks later?
I got spammed with failed logins in my mail. My guess is you got some too? Who else?
But since this all happened after Velvet had to leave and he may have no idea about it, that could only mean one thing?
I know for a fact that he will be back when things are solved. You have the word of a Turkish scammer who hacked or bought his account from the hacker?
You got nothing here dude ^^

And if it ever was a takeover, why should we put it under the rug? Xenon is one of many that keeps the wheels spinning while Velvet is gone. But i guess thats hard to believe, yeah?

I know how POS works man. I have done POS coins for many years. But what does that has to do with the wallet being online staking with the same balance that he had before he had to leave?
I guess we reached the point where you believe you know everything better than everyone else. Running out of ammo?

I also updated from 1.8.0.0 to 1.9.0.0 but I cannot sync to the network.
It stopped at block 1050231 but getpeerinfo shows me peers also running 1.9.0.0 having a block height of 1062454:

...
    {
        "addr" : "99.117.32.17:50469",
        "services" : "00000001",

...

I have the same issue I added the 1337.conf file but it doesn't sync to the network...

same, updated the conf with new nodes and now it connects but doesnt sync and seems to be dropping peers, from debug.log:
Code:
socket no message in first 60 seconds, 0 1

running on ubuntu X64

this is what i did:

- Backup your wallet and save your backup somewhere safe (This is very important)
- This step is not necessary but just to be safe, backup (copy) your 1337 folder in your C:/Users//AppData/Roaming to your USB or your Desktop.
- Close your wallet (older version) if its open
- Download 1337-qt-9-22-2017.zip from the github link above.
- Delete the wallet.dat in your /AppData/Roaming/1337 folder
- Extract the zip and run 1337-qt.exe
- If you are having connection issues, please download the 1337.conf file from above github location and paste/replace it in your Roaming/1337 folder.
- No need to sync. You are online

Problem:

- Can't restore old wallet.dat

and xenonflux stated he is working on it.

hey guys, tried all steps for getting the new version work, after deleting the 1337 file in roaming i can open the wallet but if i try to restore my saved .dat file it won't work. anyone can tell me how to fix this. i am back at 1.18.

I have the same issue my wallet won't load on 1.19

Backup your wallet.dat (and delete 1337 folder from Roaming) and try fresh without your backup for now, let it sync. I will upload new snapshot soon.
