The 2GIVE chain is now beginning to beginning to accept it's first Proof of Stake blocks into the chain!

https://www.blockexperts.com/2give/height/1950

Proof of Stake is good

Soon we will have "Proof of Stakeholder" in our community (aka "Get Confirmed") -- that will show member status based on being a stakeholder or not -- and what level.

We think it will be an "anti-troll" mechanism ;-)

Hey I heard back from blockexperts that they have the "orphan" block problem fixed that was showing wrong balances in the Richlist:

https://www.blockexperts.com/2give#

When you get a chance can you hit the blockexplorer and confirm that they got it right this time?

As an aside, I'm really kind of amazed that we're the first one to point this stuff out to them :p

I think it just means that we might be more "expert" on the block stuff than them ;-)

Looking good to me, the total is now correct for my balance.  Smiley

I am glad to join 2GIVE thread with the PMP swap that is being offered. This coin brings some nice ideas that other coins struggled to implement, e.g., wallet mining, and thus I will be really interested to help it succeed. Just turned my wallet to compete for the PoW blocks.

Language is a shared thing -- the words were never mine, it was just my turn to use them ;-)

I don't like the word "fair" most of the time and ways it's used -- it's often manipulative or loaded as in :

"You have to pay your FAIR share of taxes...."

What does that even mean??

EQUITABLE -- let's talk about that...

My understanding may differ from others, but we all define words in certain ways & knowledge can be the key to many things.

The option to keep from the same node collection of more than a certain amount of blocks would a +  Cool

   Thanks Duke,

I'm not very educated in wording, but equitable does sound more of an understandable term that anyone in the world could understand. Hope you don't mind me using that instead of fair in a recent post, as I donate & don't want to confuse anyone with words.

One of things we COULD do is force the chain to only accept blocks from Give* addresses -- which raises the bar on a pool address hopping -- we could also add in rule that prevents the same addr from securing more than 3 blocks in a row.

You have it right -- but you're competing now against hundreds of other wallets for the TXFEE rewards -- when more transactions start hitting the chain there will be more opportunities.

Our version of "air drop" is likely one of the most reasonable and "equitable" (I don't like the word "fair")

And finally we could implement a "whohas" command into the gossip protocol as in "whohas Give* addr" -- and then selective tell the nodes to disconnect it.

I support these changes! The current way of mining makes this very coin very interesting IMO.

Hey, Is it too late to exchange v1 to 2give?
I have been out of Alt for awhile, just checking back now and then..
I just found out about the exchange and I have couple million Give from back in the days, and wrote it off thinking the coin died...
anyways,  can I still exchange to 2Give?

You should offer 2nd chance exchange to people who missed out...

Sorry -- we have been socializing this out for well over a year -- the GIVE 1.0 network is shutdown -- there's no way to move the coins at this point.

My suggestion is that you simply write off your losses on your taxes if you can -- talk to your account about that.

God damn it I'm mining like a lord, already 3 rewards within last 8 hours in total 4000 coins. I already earned more by mining than by converting my CWC coins in 2give. If this coin remains solo-mineable only by wallet, than it will become very popular among small miners. But from the altcoin history most of the "solo-mining" coins were "hacked" by asic miners or pools so little miners mined almost nothing.

\o/

This is great -- I'm delighted that you're getting a sense of optimism around how 2GIVE is different than any other ALT to date.

Thwarting pools or asics isn't a hard design decision - but we have spent some time considering it...

The good news is, even if the pool wins the block -- they STILL have to pay out 1% to move it to an exchange -- which they can win of course.

One of things we COULD do is force the chain to only accept blocks from Give* addresses -- which raises the bar on a pool address hopping -- we could also add in rule that prevents the same addr from securing more than 3 blocks in a row.

And finally we could implement a "whohas" command into the gossip protocol as in "whohas Give* addr" -- and then selective tell the nodes to disconnect it.

But I don't want to play those escalation games.  Pools get involved because there is value to be extracted.

What I would rather see is a pool WATCH the TX fees and then switch in only when it rose to a level that made it worth it to compete for.

It's in the whitepaper...

I can something did not understand...It turns out - just run the wallet and put a tick in the settings. After that went to mining coins? If so, I have still zero balance...Or I did something wrong... Huh Huh Huh

I repeat:Put a tick. Grin But I want to try to connect on production, "gridseed". What do I need to do?

P.S.: I'm just a beginner. Grin Grin Grin

2GIVE is not designed to be mined outside of the wallet.

You cannot mine unless there is something to work on -- the chain rejects empty blocks.

Feel free to run the wallet on multiple computers if you want :-)

Crypt the insanity and Verge with Humanity

Seriously bro Smiley You just sold out 20+ million coins and pawned the rally of coin. Don't tell lies to people.

I don't have time for newbies -- either you are a stakeholder or not.

The fact is we don't trade in the coin (at the advice of our attorneys) -- furthermore if you're paying attention at all you'll see that we have been steadily removing 1M coin blocks from Bittrex to the donation address.

Here's a screen shot from our account:  ZERO TRADES

Sorry for being harsh. I trust you dear. Lets see how things take shape in near future.

And Congrats for coin to get added over Yobit.
