I have been thinking about an idea for quite sometime now, and BlackCoin might be the perfect fit. Many miners do not have bank accounts and it is a pain to convert cryptocurrencies into fiat. I have an acquaintance in the financial industry and we have worked on a few projects together. He has access to some really cool financial products for corporations. I discussed this idea with him already and now I want to test the waters here and see if there will be some demand before thinking about moving forward.

If you could convert your BlackCoins into a virtual Visa/Master Card that you can use online, or even a custom physical BlackCoin Visa/Master Card for US/Canadian residents, would you guys be interested in that service? There will be a fee somewhere in the neighborhood of $7.00 - $10.00 per virtual number/card. If this is something you guys would be interested in, he could put this on fast-track for me so I can be approved and I could have something up and running quickly.

If there was strong support I would consider keeping it BlackCoin only which would force other people interested in using the service to first convert their other coins into BlackCoin.

Please let me know what you think and all feedback is welcome.

Could be good, but honestly the greatest thing about cryptos is there is no need for banks and blackcoin's strong point isn't going to be point of sale(it might be who knows). I would much rather see some kind of Blackcoin Bond or something like that. BC doesn't yet have the established based to support it, but if BC could make it to that point it would be massive news.

TLDR point of sale is good but BTC does it better, lets focus on value creation >>>> bank bond denominated in BC? fuck yes !

You make some good points. The problem is it will take a few more years before altcoins are widely accepted, and right now I can't buy much with BlackCoin unless I convert into BTC first. So all roads lead through BTC. I want to offset that by giving users more options with their BlackCoins. So for example: Lets say you have $2000 worth of BlackCoins and you want to buy new clothes and your budget is $300. For you to buy clothes with a budget of $300.00, you will first have to convert into BTC, and then you either have to find a merchant that accepts BTC or have your BTC sent to your bank. In some cases this will take up to 4 days.

My idea elements all of the hassle for BC users. Once you have the BlackCoin Card you can add funds to the card whenever you want without all of the converting. Then you can use the card wherever you want because almost every merchant accepts Visa/Mastercard.

+1 Awesome idea! And I second the sweet looking black card mentioned early'er. This could be huge.

would love to see this done  Shocked

I think a Blackcoin Credit Card as a great idea too, fact is to infiltrate the fiat world we have to work around it.

Also can you imagine carrying around a real Blackcoin card in a rich black with the logo? It would definitely get attention around boosting its appeal!

BlackCoinMiner.com is adding a new feature tonight!

You will now see in real-time how many Blackcoins you have earned WHILE you're mining. So no more waiting and guessing how much you will get during payout! Check out the preview below which shows how much miners are earning from LuckyCoin right now on BlackCoinMiner.com

How much is the fee Huh

As of right now there's a 0% fee for mining on BlackCoinMiner.com ... our goal is long term and the return on this investment is the hope that BC's value will increase. So instead of taking a fee (because servers are cheap) we're just looking to pump up BC's value.

Any idea what hashrate you have in mind to begin targeting perhaps more profitable coins?

Yes, at 50mhs I would like to switch over to (Doge, World and Tag) .. mixing the current (Lucky, Lotto) in the mix whenever the hashrate dips.

People who sold btc will probably buy back soon then move their profits back in... or they will hold fiat and get out.  You can gamble on either.

I for one won't trade my bc,s until all this craziness dies down and either the price becomes twice that of next coin compared to marketcap, or the hype is gone and something  better comes along.... maybe zerocoin

BC has been in a typical consolidation pattern for last 3 days

The last time it was consolidating for this long was on the move from 700-5000.

There we go someone with a brain looking at trends

These are probably good news for BC.

Pretty sure they charge a 0% fee currently. If the idea takes off they will surely be paid back from BC increasing in price.
