Still going strong I see, I used to be a caller around 7-8 yrs back, fun times.

I wish you the best. Keep rolling.

P.S. OP doesn't even know me, this is not a paid promotion of any sort.

Same here, I am amazed by the resiliency and longevity of the service. I'm still not buying the "paid by the radio stations" explanation, but OTOH, I have no idea where the revenue actually comes from. Only thing I can imagine is some kind of backroom deals between international carriers / traffic brokers, something like that.

One thing I learned from experience is that telecom operators don't seem to like it very much when you call these numbers from a flat rate subscription. I used to call from my daily driver phone, and after a few days it my service got savagely killed without explanation. I had to physically go to one of their stores, the support team had no idea what I had done wrong. I even incriminated myself by admitting I had been calling "strange" numbers (they would see it in my call logs anyway), but they said it had nothing to do with that. They said my subscription was active, payments up to date and everything about my account showed as normal in their system. They tried to swap the SIM card, it didn't work. Then they spent almost an hour escalating the issue with their backoffice, finally they managed to restore the service. I asked for an explanation, but none was given. It was a half scary, half funny experience.

After that I contacted OP to relate my experience, he confirmed that it wasn't wise to call from your daily driver line or subscription. I think he should add it to the FAQ, but that would sound kind of shady. But yeah, obvious is obvious Roll Eyes

Bottom line is do not attempt to call from a non-burner SIM or VoIP/landline connection, but otherwise it's all good, not a scam, at least not for the callers.

DOGE was finally added today as payout method.

The transaction fee is very low: 0.005 DOGE, so much lower compared to the equivalent using LTC / BTC.

Much wow Wink

We didn't add Lithuania today, but 4 other new countries/destinations in the last weeks.

Also, we've added a new feature to our Android app: "Friendly call".

What's that about? Often times our users use a SIM card dedicated for just calling to CBC and no other purpose. SIM card providers sometimes notice that SIMs are just used for outbound calls and tend to block these SIM cards quickly. (Because providers are thinking: "A SIM card that just makes outbound calls and never receives inbound calls? What legit use could that be? Strange! Let's block it!") - So, we've created "Friendly call": Now you can automatically both make and receive calls via the CBC app. Smiley

Scenario 1: You have just 1 phone in use exclusively to call CBC. Install the CBC app on your normal, daily phone as well. Go to "Friendly call" and under "Call friendly phone" enter the phone number of your CBC phone. Configure the remaining parameters as needed and your normal, daily phone will every now and then make a call to your CBC phone automatically. On the CBC phone, set "Listen for calls" under "Friendly phone" and your CBC phone will automatically answer all incoming calls and hang up after a random duration that you specify.

Scenario 2: You have 2 or more phones in use exclusively to call CBC. On phone 1, activate "Listen for calls" and "Call friendly phone" and enter the number of phone 2. On phone 2, activate "Listen for calls" and "Call friendly phone" and enter the number of phone 1. Repeat the same for phones 3+4 and so on, you can even add more numbers to call and call phone 1, 2, 3 from phone 4 or vice versa.

PS: Also, you can add more numbers under "Call friendly phone" that you would like to call randomly & automatically, so if you think it's a good strategy to call more numbers than just the CBC number that you're calling every day in order to make your calling behavior look more reasonable, you can specify them here.
