hi, my coins are still immature since yesterday evening and stacking is not active  Huh Huh

Your wallet has spent the entire supply of coins for POS minting.
Now you will bet again when the found blocks reach 640 confirmations

I had invalid IP message when I tried to start missing when my control node machine did not have tor running and my masternodes were .onion nodes.

Installing tor on my control-node machine fixed that. Evidently the control nodes needs to be able to talk to the masternodes it controls, which for .onion masternodes means using tor.

this is just basic network connectivity.

Different issue to the wallet bug i found.

ok guys bug report.

If you have an error when trying to start a masternode 'invalid ip address' it is bug in DMD wallet.

Goto debug console and issue command masternode start-missing

this 100% fixed it for me.

When trying to find the cause of the problem I moved this wallet to 5 different computers (windows xp, 7, 8, 10, server 2012) on 3 different networks and repeated the bug everytime.

Hopefully this will help out some other.

This is strange, since I had no problems with running MN on Windows 7

Agree. I ran testnet on same pc with zero problems.

Spent 2 hours with danbi debugging (even tried his masternodes) and same.

Just glad to have found the bug.

Is there a minimum balance for POS staking?

Thanks.

I don't believe so as I have already earn my first stake with just over 300 coins. I will say this I think it's best to split my coins up into smaller blocks of say 100 coin blocks because I didn't know it will take 641 confirmations before my coins can stake again. So if I have 3 x 100 blocks I can still stake while the other block matures as right now I'm still waiting on my first stake to confirm with still over 200 confirmations to go.

I like to get the dev's answer or anyone else here is it okay with 100 coin blocks? or is that too small for DMD?

use this consolecommand

setstakesplitthreshold 100

Quote
{
"split stake threshold set to " : 100,
    "saved to wallet.dat " : "true"
}

this way u have coin piles between 100-200 dmd size automatic

if bigger they split if smaller they merge after some time (5 days)

replace 100 with whatever is ur desired number the coin pile in ur wallet will always over time struckture to be in the range if 1x to 2x that value

Thank you cryptonit!

I didn't know DMD had this feature as most POS coins don't have this feature. This saves me time splitting the blocks manually so thank you. So 100 coin blocks should be fine staking DMD? I thought maybe 100 DMD coin blocks would be too small to stake?

just adapt each week and check the average value here:

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dmd/#!extraction

as u can see 100 is still around average but we will see how network envolve
i expect 200 be better value in a week or two

Okay thanks! I will try and keep up with the network weight just like I do with all the POS coins I stake. My plan is to have 2 500 DMD blocks in the near future as I continue to stack more Diamonds.

Ok - Little update.  Masternode is working flawlessly.  I suggest people check out https://node-vps.com/web/ - it is only $5 per node per month!  Chaositec is very knowledgeable.  I have been getting MN payments all day on this my first full day with a DMD mn!  Also, I just received my first stake on my stake wallet!  Good times....  Good times....

Please do not forget about the guides on Russian for MN+POS
I have already posted several English instructions in one archive on this forum.
forum link
Later I will make a separate instruction for running MN TOR on the Windows with two VMware

English does not help
Need on russian for Win MN+POS

Thank you!
Everything works fine for me. About stake, when i'm taking times to config masternode, my v3 wallet's staked. So I have to make new masternode address. I've forgot to set parameter reservebalance=999999 in config file.
Here is my wallet https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dmd/address.dws?dWYwo7dsJNFpeYcYjB9aAPamGKJnJ2LD18.htm.

To stake coins, i had to unlock the wallet, elsewhere, (for what i saw) it remains in non staking mode.

So I sent coins to myself to have a single input yesterday. It has been over 25 hours and my wallet is unlocked and it's still indicating that staking is not active. I have activated multisend if that makes a difference. Is there anything I have to do besides unlock the wallet for staking in order to be actively staking? Please let me know. Thanks Smiley
If you sent the coins to yourself that could be the problem. V3 is a new chain. Review the guide in the OP (Post 1).
Best method is to dumpprivkey in V2 and then, importprivkey in V3.

I sent them to myself using the V3 wallet. I had no problems with the transaction and all my coins are where I want them. The part I have a problem with is that the wallet tells me staking is inactive. I was under the impression you just had to wait 25 hours from a new input for it to start minting, and that's not happening. So what else do I need to do?
