Facebook conquers the blockchain. But what about the ban?Not so long ago social networks boycotted the ICOs, banned advertising of projects, and the words "token", "blockchain" and "altcoin" were described as abusive language. We have already begun to pack suitcases and to say good-bye to facebook, twitter and other foreign social networks, but suddenly the funny news was published. Perhaps this is a door to a bright future, or maybe a way to "hype on actual topics".
In general, Facebook announced the creation of the team that will study the field of blockchain. The initiative group was headed by David Marcus, who is vice president of Messenger. (By the way, previously Marcus hold an office as president of PayPal)
"After almost four incredible years in Messenger, I decided it was time to take on a new challenge. I'm creating a small group to find out how you can apply blockchain technology to Facebook."
Recorde says that the team will bring together at least a dozen of specialists, developers and reproductive scientists from the Instagram unit. This is the first such a serious step in working with blockchain technology.
Previously, Markus said that Facebook Messenger will be open for the cryptocurrency payments immediately after the blockchain community "will fix all the problems." Because during the ban on advertising of ICOs Facebook described this area as a "compartment for fraudulent projects."
Perhaps Marcus and his team could put things in order in the messy blocks of the blockchain? Guess we'll see.
