I will be away from the computer later on when the clock strikes midnight UTC, if anyone wants to test/confirm my hypothesis on what is going on.

It is currently 17:10 on August 23. Most people with functioning brains would expect the 24 hour volume on the exchange to be the sum of the volume of all trades since 17:10 on August 22, team ION apparently thinks that the 24 hour volume should include all trades from 0:00 on August 22, which would have been accurate 17 hours ago, but now contains the volume of all trades in the last 41 hours, and can presumably be up to 48 hours.

Again, the information is inaccurate, the only possibilities are incompetence or malice. It doesn't really matter which one, because investing in idiots or liars usually has the same result.

No, no importance, as most of my posts.

Just like the fact that Matlack was stupid enough for Garza's lies doesn't mean he's too stupid to this, I'm sure the fact that they are unable to code an exchange that can accurately report the 24 hour volume on the exchange doesn't make anyone question their coding competency anywhere else.

And of course, as usual with all these shitshows, the error is one that always makes things look better than they actually do, so we have to question whether it is an innocent error or a lie intended to make the 24 hour volume look higher than it actually is, making it look like there is more interest/action with the coin than there is in reality.

If the 24 hour volume on the exchange wasn't important, it wouldn't be listed and the shills wouldn't be posting it here when it looks good. Whether or not it is important, the fact that it's inaccurate says something to me.

True, volume is negligible just as one might expect so no big news here, but Phildo's point about the 24h numbers being wrong is relevant I think. If ionomy can't do simple math on their own exchange then your expectations of a super awesome API might be slightly misplaced Wink

Ahh, I've finally figured out why the 24H Volume number on the exchange doesn't actually represent the amount of coins traded in the last 24 hours.

For my bug bounty I would like an ion dev promise that they will burn the remaining xpy that they are supposed to in exchange for the info.

i will test it in the morning to see how bad the information listed on their website (and passed along by shills) can be.

Although I'm sure that people that can't make the 24 hour volume on their market accurately list the 24 hour volume of their exchange will be able to bring in tons of new people to the world of ion via a bug free/issue free game and experience.
