I exchanged BTC for CAD and have had a withdrawal to my bank in process since May 4th. The first time I contacted them they said it can take "up to 15 business days". It's the 17th business day now and no funds have been sent, support responses are canned "we are working on sending you the funds, sorry for the delay". Latest support request is #292751

What has happened to Kraken? are they insolvent?

I see Kraken has problems with Fiat deposits and verifications.

Well, as a long time customer, I want to add that the trading experience is deplorable too.

Wow, seems that a handful of people are having the same issues with Kraken as I am.  I'm waiting for my denied wire transfer due to incorrect credentials and it has been a month now.  They have answered previous emails and were letting me know the progress at first but as time went by no answer.  They clearly told me the return wire was sent out and but there are delays due to being backed up.  Typical time is 3-5 business days and it has about 24 business days now and no reply back.  Lets get it together Kraken, I don't want to bad mouth you guys but come on, this is over 10k were talking. Dude, there is no need to open a ticked if you haven't been waiting for 2 weeks like everyone else. Relax... Wink That's why the support have their hands full, people contacting support if they have to wait more than an hour...

Update: I've passed all ticket numbers along to support to escalate (including the one you just posted @azzur). Support will respond as soon as they can, but it won't be immediately since it's getting to the point where it's taking a while to get through the escalated tickets (and of course we can't ignore those who haven't escalated either).

Sorry about the poor site/API performance earlier today. It's improved but we're still under very heavy load and I expect performance will be subpar until the trade volume and traffic to the site goes down by a fair amount.

I know it doesn't seem like it, but we are improving things under the surface. Hiring more support agents, improving infrastructure (even a few months ago the current traffic and volume would have absolutely killed our servers, so even though there are obvious issues still it would have been much much worse if we were doing nothing to improve).

BTW, if any of you (or a friend) are looking for a job and have skills that fit our needs, we are hiring:

Quick Question: Can I withdraw to a bank account in Mexico (with SWIFT) ? Right now I'm waiting for T3 verification but I want to make sure that I will be able to withdraw USD to my bank account

Note the rather high SWIFT withdrawal fee so you know what you are in for (this unfortunately is what the bank charges us). Once you have tier 3, go to Funding > Withdrawal > USD just to make sure that SWIFT option is showing up for you in the account. Mexico should be OK, but these payment options can have country restrictions that aren't in the FAQ and they can change, because sometimes banks will decide to blacklist a country without much warning.

It means that currently we can't service your state. Things could change later and we might be able to offer our service, but most likely it wouldn't be anytime soon.

Hi Dargo, could you please validate my understanding of how the deposit limit works...

My understanding is that the account freezes all deposits when the total sum of deposits within a 24 hr period exceeds the limit (including singular deposits that are still under the limit, for example if you make 2 deposits, one being 10k and the other 20k, and your limit is 10k, it won't even let you use the 10k). It then unlocks when enough time has passed to clear that limit (for example if you are 2x your limit, 2 days).

Are there any other factors?

I'm not sure that the deposit will automatically unlock after time has passed, at least not in all cases (so probably a good idea to create a support ticket if your deposit is held for going over limit rather than assuming it will release automatically). Not really any other factors for the daily limit, but remember you have a monthly limit too and that the limits are in USD, so exchange rates at the time the deposit hits our system come into play.

Thanks Dargo, you are indeed correct - the deposits are still on hold despite the limit clearing. Any chance you could help push my ticket along? It's a large sum of money and I was hoping to use it. Ticket #291776.

I was verified to level 2 with a prompt response yesterday!  My only issue now is when I attempt to verify to level 3 the site will not accept my submission for proof of residence. It states: "Proof of residence: must be at least 98 KB and at most 3.0 MB."

I have tripled check and the .jpeg conforms to all pixel and size standards asked for.  Can you provide guidance?  Thanks.

Hey, make sure the SIZE of your document is at least 98kb and maximum 3MB. If that doesn't do it, then wait for support to reply.

May 17: 1€ (test) transfer to my Kraken account. Processed within 8 hours after transfer confirmation from my bank ING.
May 18: 50€ (test) transfer to my Kraken account. Processed within 8 hours after transfer confirmation from my bank ING.
May 23: 1,800€ transfer to my Kraken account. more than 48 hours after confirmation from my bank ING, AND NO MONEY HAS ARRIVED YET AT MY KRAKEN'S ACCOUNT. So my first "real" deposit gets lost. I got confident with my test transfers but the real one fails. Probably bad luck, I don't know. But Kraken's web is also very slow now and it is down quite often in the last two days. I am quite worried.
And why is support so slow? Last took 4/5 days.

Are you from Romania? If so, I am too. I've no idea what happened, but my bet would be that Kraken is a bit over its head in terms of requests of any kind (support, deposits, etc). I've deposited about $6K last year when PayCash was available and I had the money in 5 biz days. If you did SEPA, it should be in your account in a few days. I know SEPA withdrawals are pretty fast (under 24h).
