Guys, please stay away from kraken at least right now! Everybody knows that they are experiencing a high demands but there is no way to do business with them, you send then a ticket and they take forever to answer, when they answer.

I have a big SWIFT deposit sent to a Japanese bank account, Payward, and I can't get any support about it, they simple ignore you. Stay away until they solve this support problems, don't do FIAT there.

I'm very sorry, but due the volume of requests about verification tickets we are no longer able escalate these tickets (escalation was not helping much anyway for these tickets). The verification team is working very hard to process accounts as soon as possible in the order they are received. Unfortunately, due to a long queue of accounts waiting to get verified, it may take two weeks or longer. We are doing everything we can to speed this up, including hiring more staff, but the long wait time for account verification is likely to continue for some time.

It would be very helpful if Kraken updated its stated waiting time on their site then.

2 weeks is extremely steep in my opinion, especially when the stated time says minutes to 48h.

I'm glad for their success, but communication upfront about something that gets in my way of filing orders I base on something as volatile as current coin performance would be greatly appreciated.

I've missed my last Ripple price alerts and couldn't buy then, was a shame but such is life.

To leave users hoping for a 48h time window, or even bare minutes strikes me as careless website maintenance. Sad

I agree - this should be updated to set more realistic expectations for how long verification might take.

The verification team is working very hard to process accounts as soon as possible in the order they are received. Unfortunately, due to a long queue of accounts waiting to get verified, it may take two weeks or longer. We are doing everything we can to speed this up, including hiring more staff, but the long wait time for account verification is likely to continue for some time.

Darga, Might I ask you for an update on the bug that affected a couple of users last week with the orders executed out of the order book? It's been more than a week and all I got is a "we are investigating it", while some accounts are in negative because of this.

This is unbelievable. So many people having issues but you still send them money? What if you have issues in the future with your funds? Will you be fine with this customer service? I've been waiting to be verified for 9 days. Dont even bother verifying me, im sending my bitcoin elsewhere.

Getting really frustrated.  Had an account with Carvirtex.  Been trying to figure out what my options are with Kraken.  Sent a ticket 2 weeks ago. No response.  I've tried recovering my password, username, even tried to sign up again. NOTHING!

All I want to do is be able to gain access to what I once had with Carvirtex.

Is this normal that it takes that long or should i contact them about the verification?

They explained 4 posts up that the wait time is 14 days + right now. It's not going to help if you contact them...

But seeing so many ppl posting their problems here shows that you must recruit adequate number of support personnels otherwise by not providing timely support you are harming ur users with opportunity cost.

And Cryptos are all just opportunity and time is money which you are wasting of your users instead of safeguarding it.

Most likely it will slow overall process instead of speeding things up. Good call in my opinion.

Hi Kraken / Dargo,

My deposit has been on hold due to exceeding my daily limit since May 24th. It has bene quite a while, could you please check out the deposit? I've also upgraded till tier 3, to fix this problem for future deposits (the upgrading is not the priority, the deposit on hold is!) Ticket number is 298098.

Hello Drago,

Yesterday I was not able to login to my account although I am sure I entered right username and password and 2FA verification. After several unsuccessful attempts I created a new password and tried with it but it didn'nt help. Now my account is temporary suspended because of too many failed attempts to login. I suppose the reason of this may be that i tried to connect from a new ip adress or 2FA getting out sinc. I am worried that  I may have been hacked.
It is very stressful situation because I was in process of withdrawing all my crypto to fiat so the amount in my account is quite important.

Thank you for your reply and it seems Kraken is very successful hence the influx of new users and the (much-needed) expansion of staff. That said, I have spoken with newer signups getting verified quicker and to higher tiers than people that requested the verification longer time ago. As you might understand, this sounds like randomness and not "in the order received".

Even though this does not speed up the process we're all waiting for, I would like to point out that maybe the order & speed of verification needs reviewing internally to help both Kraken and its customers in the future.
