What do the X and Z represent in your currency pairs?

XLTCXXRP
XLTCZEUR

Trying to use your API and I want to get LTC/EUR ticker for example.

I need logic to map standard pairs like ltc_eur back to your x/z pairs and I'm not sure what the logic or reasoning is.

Hi Dargo,

1. Your volume is growing, which is a good sign.

2. Any update on charting (tradingview and bitcoinwisdom in particular), any progress with them?

3. Are you close to availing margin trading?

I'm hesitant. On the deposit page for Bitcoin (XBT)  it says, "The deposit addresses can change from deposit to deposit. So each time you deposit, you'll need to visit this page to get your current deposit addresses." I have one address I have previously used, and it is labeled as 'Used Address'. Is it still safe to deposit to this address? (I generated a new deposit address anyway to be sure.)

'used' addresses are safe.  If you create enough new addresses, your used addresses will change to 'expiring #' where # = number of days remaining (starts at 7) before you shouldn't use it anymore.  Right now you're allowed to have 5 addresses between new and used without any expiring.  If you create a 6th address, one of your used addresses will be set to expire.  You can't yet decide which of those addresses will expire but we're working on that.

Thanks! I suspected it was something like that, but was just a little unsure about the word 'used'. Thanks again!

would be good to have that information at least in the FAQ (if it is not already there). Current process may be not so clear.

On daily deposit messages, you show the message "Please wait 1 day(s) for the limit to expire". Perhaps you can change this to amount of hours remaining.

Thanks for the comments everyone - I'll be back as soon as I can to answer questions. I should emphasize that we are definitely going through some "growing pains" right now. Verification applications can take up to 4 business days to process and support tickets may take 2-3 days. We had a huge leap in new accounts starting last weekend and it hasn't let up. We'll get through it and turnaround times will improve, but please bear with us for now. We appreciate all your support.

A feature i would love to see is being able to put in orders you (fully) don't have the funds for yet. MtGox has had this for a long time.

What i mean is that if i have 1 btc in my account i can do a 2 btc  sell order, which will only be for up until 1 btc if my funds haven't increased by the time the order get's filled. Or possibly that i can do a 1 btc sell order on xbteur and a 1 btc sell order on xbtusd.

I would have use for these options when i have an incoming transfer which i want to trade as soon as it arrives. Now i have to mannually keep an eye on my balance and put in the trade etc. Same goes for trading two connected pairs after eachother, i.e. sell btc/ltc and then sell ltc/eur.

Also with regards to the possibility to put in an order vs multiple currencies at the same time, i have this example: i would like to trade the btc/usd and ltc/usd pairs too but since i have limited capital, and the usd pairs have such low volume, i opt to trade the eur pairs instead because i get much more traffic that way which offsets any gain to be had from the high spread/slowly reacting prices of the usd pairs. If i would be able to put a quote on these pairs without it affecting my ability to trade the other pairs i would do so.

I'm not exactly sure how gox implements this but i think they keep some sort of shadowbook with your orders, and only put the order up until the amount you have funds for in the real book. I imagine the double order across different pairs thing might be difficult to implement depending on the design of your trading engine, you probably need atomic trade execution across all markets or something.

On the other hand, the second use case can really improve your liquidity if day traders/market makers pick it up i think. The xbtusd book is thin as a thread all the time, as i write this the ask at 10 btc cumulative amount is almost 100 usd away from the best ask. Xbteur is more like 2 euro's. If you get the orders mirrored however, you create a sort of artificial density in your books which nonetheless makes buying/selling/arbitraging there more attractive without your user base having to increase. Ergo more volume for you.

I would love to hear if this is possible, and if other people here agree.

Sorry for asking that many questions, but why do you count BTC depositing to my Euro depositing?
I don't think that's a good idea... I guess u use the market price of the bitcoins in time when they arrive on my account? Or does it change constantly?
However that can cause many problems. The bitcoin price goes higher and higher and therefore my limit of depositing bitcoins goes lower, that's not okay. For tier 2 it should be 2.000€ and 3 Bitcoins a day. Not 2000€ or 3 Bitcoins. (of course other numbers would be possible).
So why u decided to make it that way?

One example:
What if it says I can deposit 1500€ this day. Let's say the price of one bitcoin is 490€ and I send 3 bitcoins to my account. Then suddenly the price goes up to 550€/BTC , before my transfer reaches my account.  Then I am over my limit. That's a problem.

Would be great if you could put the last price (in my case last XBT/EUR price) in the tab title so I can scan for it together with all the other browser tabs / titles with prices (for instance like bitcoinwisdom.com). Maybe as a configurable user option?

@Dargo:

I ordered 2 withdrawals 16-18hours ago to my fidorpay account. But it's still "pending". Why?

Do u have to change it into "send money" manually? And are there special times, when u update ur website?

Without looking at your account I can't know. Did you create a support ticket about it? If not, please do that.
okay I thougt it could be a general issue with Fidor. I will create a ticket...
Can you tell me, when you update ur website? Would be helpful to know that, like "12pm and every 4 hours except at night" or is it not regularly?

Edit:
Now the status of my withdrawal is "sending" and I have the money in my bank account Wink
So what are the steps of a withdrawal to Fidor? I make a SEPA, than u have to transfer it manually in a "send money" ? And than u have to update ur website?  I just want to know the average time it could take.

My SEPA withdrawal status changed from "Pending" to "Sending" whatever that means. Initiated yesterday. Anxious to see when it will arrive.

What about the Trading Fee's? Is it going to stay that low, or will it rise to a schedule like MT.GOX (0,6-0,25%)? In the OP you state:
Quote
If you’re among the first, you’re among the brave and we appreciate your patience and help in getting us started. For that, we offer you discounted trading fees, and love, of course—at least during the first month
