TThe Federal District Court for the Northern District of California ordered the Kraken cryptocurrency exchange to provide the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) with information about US taxpayers who made transactions worth more than $20,000 per year in 2016-2020. for the record, I'm a dumb - I've sent 0.5 XBT to USDT address that I have on Kraken. And they told me that there was a chance at some point their developers would be able to sweep their wallets. Anyway, I'm a long term Bitcoin investor and I don't know how many months or years it will take, but if it will be recovered in the future, it's OK. Kind regards.

I made a deposit via SEPA transfer some days ago. I can see the it on muy account, but it's "on hold" and I cannot use the money to trade. No answer from support yet. Anyone has had the same problem and can tell me how long does it usually take them to review and fix it? I have the intermediate level KYC btw.

Kraken exchange will partially offset the losses of users affected by the sharp drop in the price of Ethereum at the beginning of the week.
On February 22, on Kraken, ETH price briefly fell from $1,700 to $700
The head of the exchange, Jess Powell, wrote that the fall in prices was caused by strong selling pressure. He also urged users not to trade with leverage if they do not understand the associated risks.
According to New Money Review, the company decided to reimburse the affected users. The amount of compensation will vary from 5% to 50% of the lost amount.
Powell wrote on February 26 that the company would "shell out money out of its own pocket" to maintain its customer base.

Probably is a problem of the instant function, i'm using the advance trade feature (reachable from trade.kraken.com) and in the last week in every high or down i bought or sold without any problem also in the moments where the market was in real fire, with a lot of transactions every second.

I am trying to use the "instant buy crypto" functions but I get just errors each time.
anyone has seen the same issue? any idea about to avoid it?
update my bank account made the payment. the kraken account has been initially loaded and then funds removed.... no btc order not processed at the end

Say what you want about Kraken, but you have to admit they are consistent. Market moves by more than 10%, Kraken servers die. Every. Single. Time.
It's nice to have things you can rely on...

Sorry but I have just a question: As you may have heard from others, I am one of these people, who forgot their setup key on "Google Authenticator" when I reset factory settings on my mobile phone. I also don´t have a Master Key. I filled in a form from their support and was giving them all the detailled informations but their reply was that they will send me an answer "directly to my mailbox on my kraken-account", to which I can´t log in.
Can anyone say, if the support will help me?

Yeah I saw the withdrawal fee reduction, very welcome.
Still it would be great (for other exchanges too) if we could set it up ourselves (low if not in a rush, for example), or if it would be adapted to current mempool state.

CAD book value seems to be lagging the USD value on Kraken by CAD $1500 presently. Earlier today it was closer to CAD $2000 difference. This doesn't make sense - there are certainly arbitrage bots out there and this a significant difference. This is low-hanging fruit - sweet fruit! How can it hang there all day? Is it because there are no other exchanges dealing in CAD?
Have you ever heard about Port Roberts, Washington? I watched a documentary about it that said the border has been closed due to covid. I reckon arbitrage between USD and CAD is more difficult now because of that.
If you're speaking about Point Roberts, I have but I'm wondering about arbitrage rather than portage.
Edit: there doesnt seem to be as large a differential now. Good to see that!
