Well thankfully for me I was able to pull off this exchange with no loss, my god what a complete fricken joke this exchange is.

You are definitely not alone. We also left a few days ago, after having been a long time Kraken client (probably too long). The error rates (actually we published some here, just scroll back a bit) when placing orders were just horrific. Above 95% was standard in the last weeks.

And the service provided is just scandalous (unless you want to deposit money. Kraken is superfast when it comes to getting clients money onto their platform. Whereby it is not guarantied you can use your funds. Often they are frozen for a few days, and become free after potential profitable price shifts went by)

So, we totally agree with you in warning everybody who is using or wants to use Kraken. This platform has turned into one of the biggest scams in Bitcoin-land.

and for ages the only thing the customers service does is luring in potential new targets to rip off . Dont believe any of the Kraken service team's lies.

Just tried using this exchange recently as it was recommended by someone in my circles.  For a few days I wondered what the heck was going on, trying to place a buy/sell order frustratingly taking 30-40 minutes....I thought my god how the hell does an exchange run like this, better yet how the hell does it have ANY users working like this.  Decided to do some research to see if I was only crazy one baffled by their system's performance and HORRIBLE user experience.

I guess is no surprise from my experience to find out this exchange is a complete joke, it sure as the hell feels like one!  Guess is time to get the hell of this garbage of an exchange:-(

Hello,
I canceled an order who was not canceled because the platform is giving literally dozens of error everytime you try to put an order or to cancel it and you never really know what is your position because of this matter, so now I have a short position with 5x leverage who was matched few days ago even though I canceled this order 20 times before going to sleep (it can be verify by my actions on the platform). I payed around 50 USD only on fees from open the position and rolloever until now, can someone please respond to my ticket, doesn't this qualifies like a pretty urgent matter who literally can't wait. Hello!
My email on custom domain got down (i have no longer access to this domain).

So my funds on Kraken are now unavailable (i can't verify new deposit addresses).
I've opened a ticket with Kraken support (#870762) 3 days ago but I've got no answer. I tried to escalate it through Google Forms but still no reply.

Is it even possible to change the main email without access to the current one? I am level 2 verified and I can prove my identity with photos of documents.

There is no option to do that in Kraken support center, and I was not provided with the email address I need to send the documents. I wrote that in Kraken support center, but I've got no answer (since November 21).

Normally I had no problem with my SEPA transfers. Once I sent money to my cousins Kraken account becasue I borrowed money from him. After that they think that I am funding two accounts. Due to that all my deposits are staying on hold. By the way I am from Turkey and until now I had no problem as I said before.

Tosha hear my voice why are you making me wait for so long. My money is already in your accounts.2 days ago same problem happened and Lilo and Suki solved it quickly. Why do you want me to wait for 5 days although my money is in your account. If this goes like this I will quit working with Kraken. I think I am a good customer for you with my high amount transactions.

In which country do you reside?

Maybe you are sending your SEPA deposit from a high-risk country where Kraken has to deal with a higher level of fraudulent
transactions compared to other countries. This could explain why your deposits seem to be delayed.

Another possible explanation is that you have crossed a certain threshold of deposits (which in my opinion is
quite likely given the huge amounts that you deposited) and therefore will be asked to provide additional
documents in order to comply with KYC/AML requirements.

I would like to tell my personal disagreement with Kraken:

on September 26, I made a BTC deposit to my Kraken account, but I made a mistake by sending funds to my USDT account. I asked for the help of technical support but they replied that it was impossible to recover the funds, as the process of recovering the private USDT keys was risky and burdensome.
So, despite my insistence, the funds were frozen in an unused BTC account.

Well at a distance I re-checked the BTC account corresponding to the USDT address I sent the funds by mistake, and I saw that they were taken!
Since only Kraken had the private keys of that account, it is obvious that someone has recovered the private keys (but it was not impossible?) And he has appropriated my funds without communicating anything to me!

It also seems that the same fate is touched on many other erroneous transactions like mine: I'm not a big blockchain expert, but I leave the conclusions to you.

I have submitted a new complaint to the technical support, but I do not expect to have positive feedback, given their subtle behavior.
I think the community should be aware of this episode.

If Kraken has something to say, I hope to come forward:I know perfectly that other exchanges, in similar situations, have solved the customer's problem by returning the funds.
Apparently, Kraken's policy is to declare it "impossible," except to take those sums and make them their own.

We took a look at the link in the big gurus post on reddit.....(https://jobs.lever.co/kraken). Looking at the personal needed it gives the impression that Kraken finally is trying to get more people for the job, or that they finally plan to exchange their incompetent dev, service & management team. Freaking hilarious.

Adding to the previous post. After having read the big gurus post. He actually says, we do give as much as horse excrement if you experience problems right now, according to their own numbers (probably false away) they claim that the system works fine cause of the big trade volume, and if you dont like the service go somewhere else so we can better continue our SCAM on  other people.

The post in itself is a perfect impression on how much Kraken cares about providing the promised service, and that they dont have a problem with the current state of affairs. The platform is run by liars, frauds, and other scammers trying to get peoples money.

We are just waiting for the day when a angry customer let's out his/her/their frustration on that big gurus head. That would be a day to treasure and remember.

We can only give warnings about these fraudulent people, and the best thing a (potential) customer can do is to go somewhere else.

I, stupidly, made an assumption that they had fixed all their issues before moving my trading funds to Kraken to get out of USDT and into USD.

I have never experienced anything like it in my life, no wait I have, MtGox during a BTC crash.

98% of my order creations and cancellations failed, losing me a lot of money. I ended up just cutting my losses and transferring what I could back out again (surprisingly it only took 3 attempts to withdraw before it went through).

There are no warnings anywhere, which is absolutely disgusting. People are losing money over this...

I know that sucks but there are only bad and worse choices here. So, in other words, even the CEO knows that the service is nowhere near what is promised on their website, they dont give warnings on their main page to (new) customers, and they keep on running with the current problems. Furthermore, again these empty promises of a new trade engine. For us, this is just SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM

I'm glad you were conscientious such that you were able to post the error rates that you experienced.  I personally observed them and was interested in some of the numbers that were posted and I appreciate it.  

I do think that in the end you will appreciate the upcoming improvements that developers have been preparing to launch, which will be deployed as I understand it before the 2nd week of December concludes.  

And (to address your last question) - no, it is not to get an identity so someone can ban you, that would never be our intent. Thanks for expressing yourself here.

To address the last part first. We hope you understand that we still would not share any of our customer information with you in this forum. Simply out of the fact that there is a function for issues on your site and we expect that requests submitted via the website should be handle as quick if not quicker than requests posted in forums. And not only be quick to provide service when people use public channels in order to give the impression of having a proper service.

Furthermore, we would like to state that we do not trust your statement on a new trade engine being deployed soon. This empty promise has been used for far too long to be believable (several months if not longer). Even less do we expect it to be all-problem-solving in case it should be deployed. Rather we expect that a lot of other problems will be added to the currently already endless list.

To be frank, we have lost all confidence in Kraken's ability to run a trade platform. Therefore, we have decided to stop trading at Kraken from today on after having seen today's error rates. Since, we still have a few funds bound to your platform due to withdrawal issues, we will check from time to time whether things have actually improved, but we expect nothing positive from you anymore.

To share some of our experiences with your customer service and their competence in solving problems. Until now none of the reported problems have actually been solved. Literally NONE, and we issued several requests about different problems over the past months. Here some examples:
1) It is barely possible to use the withdrawal function. (Remark: Kraken having problems to let customers withdraw their funds is actually one of the worst parts currently going on as it prevents customers to go to other platforms where they actually are able to trade)
2) Cancelling orders close to impossible without being extremely patient. Leading to orders taking place which where intended to be cancelled due to price shifts. Kraken's typical response: "This is the risk of online trading." Or any kind of answer putting the problem on the client, whereby the actual problem is Kraken itself and it's incompetence to provide the promise service.
3) Placing orders..... actually we call it impossible without automated trading system. The error rates are just an insult to any trader. (Today close to 100% total errors for placing orders, and you know that these levels of error rates have been often encountered, and error rates far above 70% are typical for Kraken)
4) Trades not taking place even though there limit was reached. (This might be the only thing which was solved, but we haven't checked lately)
5) API response times for single calls reaching almost 1 minute, generally response times are above 15 seconds, and then there is an extremely high possibility that the order was not placed. When trading manually, Kraken is an immense timewaster, and even with automated systems so many check-up are eeded that it is just not worth it.
6) .....

Not going to waste more time. The point should be clear.
Seeing all these issues we think that Kraken with it's current presentation to customers and its level of service is a fraud/scam. And it is up to you to prove otherwise. However, we assume that the facts will make it quite difficult for you to prove that Kraken is not one big massive scam.


And we agree with iCoinWatch: Someone should find you, preferably using a lawyer, put you in court, and have the judges punish you preferably by making you compensate financial damages being topped up with life time in prison. And this is not a threat, it is just an expression of our hopes that someone will take measures against you and your SCAM.

Unbelievable. In the last months Kraken had become slower and slower. I experience it on a daily basis myself and hear complaints from friends as well on a daily basis. The only pull to kraken currently is the remote probability to convert crypto (temporarily) to actual fiat.
Orders are not being placed, executed, I have had several sessions when I found out later or the next day rejected orders were executed despite an error message and no visible execution minutes after the trade.
Even withdrawals/transfers don't work. Page times out every time. From being my favourite trading site kraken has reduced to the worst user experience with the most horrible reliability with respect to execution.

PLEASE step up your game kraken. For the moment, if I manage to transfer my funds will go somewhere else and hope to come back to test if things have improved in a few months or if i hear so

Do you know what can be the reason(s) to have a crypto deposit "on hold"
I just noticed it today while looking at the history and the thing is:
- I don't remember about this deposit (it's just a small one)
- It doesn't look to be one sent to the old BTC address
- I don't know how it's possible to have a (crypto) deposit on hold while a member is verified Tier 2
