The fact that whitecoin has suddenly pulled ahead at 125 votes leads me to believe this poll is officially bogus.. Too easy to make and use fake accounts. Oh well, Mintcoin has made a strong presence on the poll and I doubt any of those votes are fake.

please help. how it can happen. i mine mint. collect about 800000 in my wallet and once there only 200000 left. no outcome transaction only mine and receive. whats wrong? please help to solve or understand what happened
First make sure you are using the latest version (it is not a MUST as long as you are using 1.7+, but latest is better)

After your blockchain syncs, open Help / Debug Window / Console, and type "checkwallet". It would probably report your missing coins. If it does, first make sure you have a backup of "wallet.dat"; then type "repairwallet" there. It should fix it.

I trust mintcoin, but I am afraid that people will lose their passion. I hope someday we can buy bread with mintcoin.

Just a short question for you guys: Is there any working Mintcoin faucet? The only working one I found (CyanRainbow) is empty unfortunately. Thanks!

Looks like the CyanRainbow got refilled. If somebody wants to contact the coinok.pw faucet on twitter to reactivate then I can give it some funds (I don't have a twitter)

Thanks, it's ok now Cheesy.

I agree, that not working minting only checkbox should be taken off from gui. Just to avoid confusion.

Regarding safety. I have to be totally honest with you. If you have RDP hack or or keylogger in your PC, then your wallet unlock checkbox is your smallest problem. Having or not having wallet unlocked for minting only doesnt keep you from getting robbed. In best case it keeps your little brother or sister away from sending your coins to strangers.

"Unlock for minting only" does not work.
This was said to be solved but i can still send coins without being prompted for password
I remember i told specifically that unlock for minting only does not work yet. Its not an error. Its just a feature which is not working yet.

Perhaps someone could look in to that soon?

Sorry for mentioning it then. I should have read all the zillions of posts first to make sure no one else had mentioned it...
This feature has been in the console since day one but never worked. But now when it's just a checkbox and it was mentioned that this feature was there when it was released people might really believe that their wallet is safe when unlocked with this option.
Next time i wont bother.....

About the staking: I must have been on a wrong version. Since i re-downloaded 1.9.1 yesterday it mints just fine.

my Balance: 839232.99536 MINT shown on mint.blockx.info
but i yesterday install a new mintcoinwallet on new win7
should i make mintcoin.conf or no? without it wallet dont want to synchronise

mintcoin.conf is not a must. Another safe choice is to dump private key secretly and store the key first.

Search your balance on http://mint.blockx.info, if it shows your balance is really 800000, then:

1. close mintcoin wallet
2. delete everything except wallet.dat
3. open wallet to synchronize data from scratch

thanks

Just had a read of the Blackcoin thread.. looks like the community there is in flames. We have a really great and friendly community here, if i'm not mistaken MINT arrived before blackcoin and that clone steals all our market. Wish we would attract some big investors  Sad

!! HODL !!
Upgraded from wallet 1.4 to 1.9.1 and everything works fine. I previously tried using 1.8 but it threw some errors at me, so I kept on using 1.4

But with 1.9.1, everything seems to work fine and the wallet is generating POS coins.

Would just like to post an update here - though I am disappointed in the name change, I did sell two items via blkroad (used to be "mintbay.") They were delivered today and the buyer marked them as such; I requested a withdrawal and got my funds within minutes. So far, very satisfied with the site.
