I will say that I am also getting exactly jack and shit in terms of minting coins, since upgrading to 1.8 and then 1.9. Seriously I was consistently minting several times every single day then since upgrade I get maybe 1 minting of half the previous amount, every 1-2 days. Something is fucked up. I'm not the only one experiencing this.
You're not the only one experiencing this, I've had the same problem since upgrading. I decided to come here for help and was basically accused of being a troll and not knowing what I'm doing.
I have explained all your questions just few pages ago. I even provided pictures for those who have trouble understanding.

Mintcoin has identical staking formula to most PoS coins. You can find literally book worth of material, if you google.

I just wanted a couple ideas of what to do to resolve this. It turns out I was able to get it minting again by redownloading 1.9.1. Not sure why my original 1.9.1 didn't work, but after I redownloaded it minted within 5 mins.
Not sure why everyone is so hostile here.
I provided a link to an earlier wallet you could of tried to see if it resolved your problem, you ignored that and then called everyone here a dick. Now you are saying two identical versions of the software are behaving differently and the Mintcoin community is all hostile. Yes, it is fair to call this trolling.

No one's making up problems. I'm familiar with how this works, and I just want to get my wallet working properly. It seems like other people are having the same issue that I am, so I thought it would be smart to ask them how to fix it.
Could you tell me who has this problem? Also please post your coin control screenshot to for clarification. Exactly like i described earlier.I'm not sure why everyone is being such a dick about this. I initially replied to another person who was having the same problem I am. I know how this works. I was minting every other day, and now I haven't in a week. My wallet has said that I would mint in 2 hours for a week now. I'm glad everyone else's is working fine, but that doesn't mean I'm making stuff up. I just want to downgrade or whatever I need to do so that I can mint my coins that are overdue.

It could just be people are running the 1.9 and not the 1.9.1 wallet? I downgraded when I saw that 1.9 had an issue, so I'll try the 1.9.1 wallet now (no problem downloading from link in the OP)

Exactly like i described earlier.If you are reffering to user named g0re79, then you need to read my explanations to him as well. He was wrong. He did not enough have mature coins for staking. Im sure that your case is similar to his.

For now its fine to use 1.8 if you dont like the staking indicator, but please stop making up problems which really dont exist. Instead take some time and learn about how staking/minting works.

Still no stake. Closed and re-opened wallet a couple of times, it still say 2 minutes to reward.
Before i installed 1.9 i staked 2-3 times every hour.

v1.9 had a problem. Maybe you are using 1.9 instead of 1.9.1 ?
Changed to 1.8 today and staked after 10 minutes and now again after 1 hour.
So, SOMETHING must be wrong on SOME computers with 1.9.1
I'm having the same problem with 1.9.1. No staking at all after regular staking on earlier wallets. I actually haven't minted any coins since I made the upgrade to 1.9.1. Do you think I should downgrade to 1.8?
Which OS are you using? I keep staking without problems with 1.9.1 (on Ubuntu)
If Windows, can you try re-downloading the official one on main post and try with that again? There are sometimes community released versions, maybe you use one of them and it doesn't have the patch in it.
I'm on windows. Trying to redownload the official one to see if that works but have tried several times now and Mega won't even load it. Anyone else having trouble with the link to Mega for the windows wallet?
I downgraded when I saw that the estimates for coin staking weren't accurate, they reported that coins would be staked in 'twenty minutes' for a couple of days and nothing happened. I'm using an older version Kergecoin posted, I think it's 1.8.1 - this is the last link provided a few pages back -
