I've tried the bootstrap method, takes just as long if not longer.

Interesting. Bootstrap worked for me very quickly, a matter of hours.

Hi, alive MINT nodes you can see here: http://cryptoguru.tk/NetworkInfo/index.php?Currency=MINT
try to rescan or reindex your wallet.

cheers thanks ill add some more nodes on my .conf! Smiley

How do you rescan or reindex our wallet. I only have one connection as well.

on command line before you start your wallet type -rescan or -reindex
put this on your .conf and you get 7 connections at least!
Code:

this block chain taking to long to download.. most coin 2 years old take 2-3 days max this has now been 6 days and still only half done... it is not gonna help to keep this coin alive

dogecoin took me 8hrs to catch up 1year on a SSD and on 24mbps ISP, we need a bootstrap

I've tried the bootstrap method, takes just as long if not longer.

For me, regular syncing didn't take nearly that long - thankfullky

bitb took like 30 hours to sync RDD i think was about 2 days. I  don't think ltc even took more then 3 days....

I guess the question is what is the value of mintcoin and use. What is the development plan? is there a recent bootstrap?

Drama free, quick, and energy efficient transactions for over 2 years.  A reasonable level of transparency with a strong community that is ready to support users.  Original branding and a predictable wallet without unnecessary complexities and loopholes.  Also noteworthy, the current minting rate of 10% will be changing to 5% sometime around the end of this year.

Devs have been working to optimize the open source wallet further but are volunteers who also sometimes need to take on other, paid work.

Official bootstrap from 3/31/16 is at:
https://link.getsync.com/#f=bootstrap&sz=1E9&t=1&s=PLWY53LWFWGR67POGCCJIB7L2H2UXLVE&i=CRU6W3X7DMMZ2Q36C4LCTHC25VB3G5CXN&v=2.3

User kiklo offers a newer, unapproved bootstrap.

i'm out of thread for a long time..
just to know...
but Mint is dying???
why POLO is delisting it, despite not so low trading volume???
i miss some news??

thanx!

btcpool.exchange has advised that all mintcoin should be removed from their current exchange by Dec. 20th.  They will be migrating to the new and improved beta platform with support of mint at AltEx.ws

We still have Cryptopia.  Wow this sucks though and such a sudden notice is so short. No reason? Killing the price apparently.

that is true. MINT doesn't need to be on poloniex if we have cryptopia.

Yet cryptopia doesn't have the kind of volume that Poloniex can provide especially when there's a big pump happening. Everyone has no choice but to accept the reality.
Yes, in the short term, it does mean less liquidity as there's less traders and price speculators on the other exchanges. But if you think about it, it's not the end of the world, Mintcoin has survived similar things in the past such as Mintpal, Cryptsy, and several others. The good thing I see this is going to shake and is already shaking out all of the coins those guys are/were holding. So for now it means price is down, because the people who aren't committed are shaken out. It's a way of forcing out the weak hands. Those who who don't see the mint vision are probably not the sort of people we want to have too many coins anyway. I don't like the idea of so many of the mintcoins being in the hands of these people who controlling pumping dumping and manipulating the prices. So this is definitely an opportunity for those of us who see the value in MINT and know what it has to offer. I like to think of it as a great opportunity to grab some coins cheaper. Just because some coins are sold or dumped for cheap, doesn't mean everyone is selling or valuing them at that price. There's only so many coins that can be sold, they're not infinite. Eventually they will run out of coins to sell. The more of us who care about MINT are able to scoop them up the faster we can rise again later  Smiley As an example, I was able to get an extra 2 million coins from this so far, and I'm surely not reselling them anything anywhere near this cheap. Who knows how low it will go. It is interesting times. Keep minting my friends. Cool

So true.  During their times, they were top volume exchanges.  Mint is invasive and just migrates elsewhere.  I FEEL SO FRESH TODAY.   Kiss
