Pascal is live now on Nicehash.

This is good news... Hash could raise, and this could bump the price.

Someone with no grasp of financials.

Supply and demand.  The lower the supply the greater the demand. (and the higher the price.)

The higher the supply the lower the demand (and the lower the price.)

Look at every coin dual minable by Claymore. within a few days of release price spikes (pumps) and then the price gradually goes down.
Supply and demand but not the hashing power but the coin. Pascal coin supply is programmed steady (100 PASC in cc. every 5 minutes), so the rising or falling of hashing power has no effect on coin supply and therefore on price.

Rising of hashing power rises the difficulty which will affect profitability of mining negatively.

How come this shit get that much volume and all hype of the world? Sad I didnt buy in when it was trading at 1600 sats, guess its too late to hop on to this bandwagon now when prices are soaring, in addition I have a suspicion that it was pumped by poloniex crew who have been slowly accumulating cheap tokens during the past months.

But I am still surprised that nobody caught on to this bug earlier.

And with Pascal_Lite you have shown us this bug . What do we need to do now?

Pascal Lite is not shutting down because it wouldn't be fair for all the miners so far. It currently still has over 200,000 MH/s hashrate however I am looking for a qualified developer with some reputation to take over the project, if it doesn't happen i'll still maintain the coin by doing all the necessary security updates and keeping nodes alive.

Reason I decided to step down is because when the coin was launched some miners exploited that "time sync" bug and 90% of all the blocks went to 1 or 2 miners.

What happened afterwards I started getting alot of threatening PMs and people sending me screenshots of their "PascalMiner 0.2" screen showing that they've found a block or two, weren't credited and wanted me to send them that block. Others said they would open a scam accusation against me saying I knew about the bug and launched the coin anyways to scam people out of their hashrate. This bug however existed in PascalCoin 1.4.2 just nobody exploited it until it was released with my coin.

So its just too much of a headache to deal with it at the moment and alot of hate in the community which is demanding a relaunch mostly which I can't do.

I agree with you it's not your fault also I think that time sync exploit bug was found before with pasc before the pools launched my miner keep reporting I was finding blocks but weren't credited also there where other ppl with high hashrates than me saying the same thing so

Well I was mining PASC solo since pretty much Oct 2016 and I've noticed those negative times whenever a new block was found, however I didn't think anything of it.

I never saw a single one of my blocks rejected because back then we all used the Proxy miner and it didn't display that a block was rejected due to invalid timestamps. Apparently it shows in the debug log, however I never checked those.

But I am still surprised that nobody caught on to this bug earlier.
