^ Will code for Bitcoins
January 19, 2018, 07:01:11 PM
Don t know if that s possible at this rate. All this coin is doin is losing value less than 70% from it s all time high which is not a good sign. Maybe the dump will be even harder after the fork like what Happened with NXT. Anyway I m holding someone s bag for the time being nothing that can be done about it.

One thing is certain: hardfork deadline is not helping the price.

Some rumors say that sia will enter to binance soon. You think we can reach 10bln market cap?
If cardano grow so fast, trx reach 13 bln so why not sia with great cloud storage technology and low price.

I have sia coin in my wallet 1.3.0

For the fork..
I have to do something?

I download a 1.3.1 version and I lauch UI. but I view this

Oh, you did not updated correctly. The instructions for updating are:

- Close Sia completely (In Windows, you have to click close on the system try icon of Sia)
- Replace the old installation with the extracted files form the 1.3.1 version you downloaded
- Open Sia again

In your particular case, as what remains to be updated is the daemon (the core software, not the UI that is up to date) you can update alternatively by going to the Terminal and typing "siac update". This is ok for this case, not the general rule for updating if you are using the UI.

Once updated, you don't have to do anything else for the hardfork: you will be prepared ;-)

What is SIA's block time? I'm just trying to calculate after how many days and hours will the fork occur.
Another question, do you see SIA's price rising soon after the fork, maybe +15% minimum?

when the fork will happen?

on the block 139,000
google it next time, please

regards.

BUT WHEN..Huh

You have a countdown clock for the hardfork with the best estimate in https://siastats.info (together with an explanatory link in case you have more questions about the fork)

Wallet question:
I have finally last night synchronized my SIA wallet after about 4 months
on and off. Is it ok now to use even though the blockchain is up to date
but the wallet itself now may not be?

You need to upgrade to version 1.3.1

guys you think Sia will skyrocket after the fork?

Don't have the exact idea when it will grow because I have been waiting for many months for SIA to increase its price. I think still, will take some to increase its price even more in the market.

Another Upcoming SiaCoin ASIC, the DragonMint B52 Blake2b Miner

capable of 3.5 THS Blake2b mining

https://mycryptocurrencynews.online/?p=623

This seems unbelievable for the amount of chips...

Bitmain JUST released the A3 miner and it contains 180 chips ...

Code:
1
Product model
A3

2
Hash ASIC type
BM1720

3
Hashing algorithm
Blake(2b)

4
Total quantity of hash chips
180 chips

5
Total quantity of hash boards
3 boards per miner

6
Total hash rate
815GH/s±5%

7
DC voltage input
11.60~13.00 V

8
DC current input @12V DC
98.8 A +7%

9
DC Power @12V DC input
1186 W +7%

10
220VAC Power @25℃ ,93%
conversion efficiency of APW3

1275 W +7%

HalongMining wants to be that guy who one ups everyone, they want to one up bitmain... The s9 is 14TH/s.... their 16T is 16TH/s.
Now 815GH/s to 3.5 TH/s is quite a bit more than a one up for sure..but it seems unbelievable to achieve with what they're stating.

Code:
Blake2b miner. 3.5TH/s at 1000W -/+8% with 135 chips.

ASIC with only 135 chips with only 1000w draw -/+ 8%.  Its quite ironic that they announce this miner directly after bitmain starts selling their miners. As of right now, their B52 Blakeminer does not even exist and is a theoretical product with a wait list. For all we know it could be MONTHS before production and shipping of such a machine if it is in the works.

Anyone who just got their hands on an A3 shouldn't fear the B52 just yet... By the time they are released the A3 will have produced enough to buy 3 B52's Smiley
