If Mr. Spread wants to go the direction of anonymity after masternode implementation, I would certainly support that as the first team to implement an extremely clean anonymity solution is going to have a very valuable coin on their hands. If he chooses to go another route towards a different sort of critical app, I'd support that as well, especially since your grandma probably doesn't care if the world knows that she's buying Depends off of Amazon with SPR.
So would I, I am just thinking out loud, because it seems like Mr.Spread hasn't really made up his mind yet.
Take everything I say with a grain of salt, I am just an enthusiastic new investor.
There is a reason why I like what Mr.Spread is doing, and it has NOTHING to do with darkcoin (except maybe parts of the source code).
It seems like Spreadcoin is being pushed into the role of becoming just another darkcoin clone... that's what I don't like.
We already have a masternode network...
It's THE masternode network.
But P2P messaging and features along those lines? That's a very specialized app, a far cry from a critical app. And having Mr. Spread spend his time on something like that would be like having Beethoven write jingles for McDonalds commercials. Let's create the space for Mr. Spread to write a symphony that will last the ages.
If Mr.Spread continues to enhance the solo-mining experience of Spreadcoin while simultaneously implementing in-wallet features that work better than anything we have seen before, he IS a beethoven. Those are NOT trivial things at all, ...
If at a later point spreadcoin still has 100% compatibility with darkcoin, I say why not just add anonymity....
Sure... but something tells me that spreadcoin will need to be more or less 100% working like darkcoin for it to stay well compatible with ANY advanced anonymity features of darkcoin.
So again... what does this mean... spreadcoin should stive to just be a darkcoin clone?
Ridiculous.
