Must be somebody over Jersey way that could help him out...  Setting up the Bitfury is fun.  Connect three parts together, hook up the PSU, start hashing...

Forgot a step....
Change pools - start hashing for your account instead of Daves

I'll get it done. I just need to get started.

  • First, dig out unused 16 port 1G Ethernet Switch
  • Then get switch setup and working
  • Slide Guest Bed out of the way so that i can access the dresser top where the miner will live.
  • Run Ethernet cable to the location
  • Unbox Bitfury and set it up.
  • Unbox and Plug in new UPS for this miner.
  • Unbox new monitor for this set up and unpackage keyboard and mouse.
  • Plug everything in and pray it all works
  • Configure for my Slush account.

Sure, nothing to it...  Tongue

I think I'll go get lunch first.

Hash rate in Gh/s / 1.6, then rounded down to nearest power of two.   For one h-board = 8.  The warning is for a full kit, I think...

Is anyone else having trouble getting your pool (BTC Guild in my case) to report the same or near the same hashrate as the bitfury admin page displays?

My admin page is always just around 26Ghs while my BTC Guild dashboard has been showing 18Ghs over the last hour.

I suspect this has something to do with the difficulty warning on the admin page, but I've tried, 32, 64, and 128 and none have increase my speed.

I had that problem for a few hours on Slash's pool.
All I did was clicked Stop Miner and then Start Miner.. since then it's been running fine. So not really sure what was the cause.

I'll try that.

What difficulty are people using for 1 H-Board?

The warning says 32 - 512, so I would assume 32 for 1 H-Board?

Haha, I wonder if there is anyone who forgot that step.

Just got my starter kit this morning and got it set up (order #89). Just a single H-board, no EOL. Reported noncerate is 26.872GH/s and 25.483GH/s on the pool. It's only been running for about 10 minutes, so I will update later after it has been running for a few hours.

I am very happy with Bitfury and MegaBigPower. Great job to everyone involved.

My package just arrived. I'm afraid to open the box.  Cry I'm having issues lately getting things done. I've had 2 ASICminer Blades in hand for 2 weeks and they are still in their wrapping. Ethernet switches, power supplies, UPS'... I think i'm just overwelmed. Don't get me wrong, I know all about this stuff, it isn't a lack of knowledge. It is just motivating myself to get it done. I'm slightly handicapped and it is sapping my motivation. Undecided

Oh man, that is BTC down the drain.  If you are within 2 hours from LA I will help you set it all up, I'm sure there are others near you who would help you.

The bitfury boards should be a lot easier to setup then the blades. Good luck getting everything done.

I don't know if this would be possible due to expected inventory, but I would simply accept to 2 H-Boards for my pending order instead of a full starter kit.

We ran short of M-boards due to the factory shortage of parts I mentioned.  I had hoped they would pick up the slack in production, but the break in production was felt last week when the shipment finally arrived from AK customs with no M-boards.  According to tracking, we only expect 12 tomorrow.  Every starter kit we send out takes 16 slots from the mine.  We have 54 starters left to ship.

A cost analysis shows that we would lose over 20TH if we ship out of the mine - taking over 800 cards out of the picture, which does not work well from a financial perspective.

The solution is to dedicate four rigs to a separate mining account and then send each customer their share of the coin once we ship.  Of course the customer will not pay a hosting fee or their share of power.  I have already repointed the hashpower to this dedicated account: https://www.btcguild.com/api.php?api_key=23fcc6a0f8292fe394b1706da8c0d304.

As soon as we ship these units, we will distribute the coin accordingly.  Thanks for your patience on this - please look for an email requesting your payment address before you send it to us.

Best,
Dave

These starter kits will have the v2 M boards?

My August kit just arrived at my door! Order #108.

I think I'm feeling a bit ill at work. Time to go home and rest up. Wink

There seems to be a lot of that going around.  Must be a virus of some sort - I had the same sudden illness thing happen to me on  Friday...
Heard BitFlurry disease is doing the rounds.

BitFury Fever is very serious, You should not be at work. If you are to talk about bitfury products and what they do, others will become obsessed, and though not as infected as you they will become distracted and unable to focus. You must go home before you infect others. You are not contagious unless your order is at your domicile and you cant get to it.
