Waiting to get the first ship notification from the factory...they should have some boards ready by now...

Power adapters for your ATX PSU's are also in production - they should be ready early next week.  All you will need to hook up your rigs is a standard ATX PSU - (boards will take about 330w running full steam).  Raspberry Pi  w/formatted SD card will be provided, including the latest mining code.  Make sure and have at least a house fan or something to move the air through the cards - it doesn't have to be a pro solution.

Oh, and an internet connection Tongue

Hi Dave,

Do you still see any chances to ship M-boards v2.2 for the first batch of August orders? Are there any benefits of that board compared to v1 other than not requiring the custom power adapters?

my biggest 'concern' is am i going to require PCI-e power cables, or will you be sending the earlier m-boards that will run off a molex?

I never saw any molex connectors, The only thing I saw was two screw terminals a + & - 12volts. The adapter is dual PCI-E to + & - screw terminals.

So the answer to your question is Yes.

Yeah, I haven't been keeping up.  Is everything still shipping on time?

Also, I placed an order for a starter and then a couple weeks later for a ton of H-boards, any way I can get them all shipped together without the extra delay?

H-boards for August delivery?  I missed that one.  I only saw October delivery on mbp website.

Dave: Can you clarify whether the default ("free") shipping method to US customers is USPS Standard Post (7-8 days to most destinations) or USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days)?

If USPS Standard Post, can you add another shipping upgrade to the site for US customers to upgrade to USPS Priority Mail for $5 or something?

Heh, I sorted out this issue on my end (discussed several pages back). Thanks to those who suggested using a router. Smiley

Yes - one PSU  in the (Spottswood open-air) case and one on a shelf in the event that the one in the case goes bad...  Grin

Other than that, I've only had one power outage in my apartment in the last 3.5 years - and that was for two hours - some truck lost control and took out a power distribution transformer...

You guys planning to run with backup power supply?

I plan on running UPS's on most, if not all, of my mining devices to protect from brown outs or brief power outages... Also don't forget to power backup your internet hardware as well. Smiley

you guys that are jumping into buying these and other large hash machines should punch some numbers in one of the online calculators. Before the end of the summer the difficulty will be at at least 100 million and over 200 million before years end. The get rich scheme will not happen, on the contrary, some of you will never recover the invested money

some of us are hobbyists....and in this for the long haul..... in 2-3 years when bitcoins are $700-$1000 each... tell me about ROI....

If you just enjoy watching number whizz past on your miner UI, maybe this makes sense for you - but a higher price of Bitcoin in the future is not a justification.  Instead of spending BTC80 on a piece of mining hardware that will ultimately produce BTC70 before difficulty renders it useless, you could just as well save the BTC80 to start with, and be +BTC10 in the end.

you may not understand ROI -
i.e investing with bitcoins ROI may never be reached! regardless of btc/usd exchange rate - if you spend 20 bitcoins and only get 17 back - doesn' matter what the exchange rate is you will still lose on your investment!!!
also, you COULD be better off just spending the money (USD) today buying coins at market price and have MORE coins (possibly) than mining them with the equivalent USD purchase.

for some reason people forget simple econ basics.

risk is risk- noone knows that's why people make projections and guesses

Well that comment sure brought things to a halt.  I hate it when the thread gets pushed off the front page and I have to go looking for it...

@BuzzDave - any updates for us ?

This is great for customers buying miners, but it's still not clear how many THs are being shipped before getting to 100/200TH and an estimated date for them to be fully deployed.

Many unanswered questions on top of major delays. . .

-send a team member to China to in-person test this rig

Good news everyone!

And greetings from Shanghai!

Just got batch of 20 boards from the factory and tested them. They work perfectly! We're still on schedule! Smiley

Some pics: Maglev from Pudong airport and H-board gets vertigo.

Lets compile the unanswered questions here and I'll try to answer them.  Here's what I plan on doing:
-Receive product, immediately set it up and run 24hr testing into 100TH mine
-Pull off tested product for retail product shipping
-Replenish racks with more newly received gear to test.
-Repeat this process until August orders are out the door (I estimate 3-4 days of this process)
-At this point, the 100TH hashpower should stop fluctuating and start growing as more product arrives.

There are more boards on the way, so we don't expect a break after we finish deploying the first batch of boards.  The timeframe I'm most fuzzy about is how long to deploy the extra hashpower from 100TH -> 200TH.  I would estimate weeks, not months.

I saw the above in another thread.
