Since I'm not on slack I haven't been able to find any info about this coin since around 2 years ago, as the thread and website went defunct...so I am just wondering what's been happening and where it's at today. When I was last following it, version 3.0 was around the corner, and it was still closed source and therefore not trustless...and I think there was an android phone wallet app in the works. So I'm just gonna throw a few questions out there and if anyone can help get me up to speed that would be awesome!

What version is XCurrency on now, and is the current version open source?
How does the anonymity compare to say XMR or SDC...or even a BTC mixing service given advanced blockchain analytics? I know DASH relies on trusting masternodes so it is not trustless.
Is the p2p encrypted messaging also trustless and open source?
Any news on the mobile wallet?
Also regarding Blocknet...can an Ethereum smart contract interface with the decentralized exchange? For example: Could a smart contract be created where someone could send Ethereum to it which would then be exchanged for a different coin and sent anonymously to a different user?

Also just a heads up: The block explorer at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/ says the hosting has expired, and the twitter account points to http://ww12.xc-official.com/ rather than www.xcurrency.co

Yep, most XC hodlers are hardcore believers.
And you will also need to hold your XC in your own wallet if you want to stake

XC is good, but the trade volume is very low. Does it mean people are holding XC in their own wallet?

user interest will eventualy pickup when they see the developments going on...its already better then few months back

Only thing that is bothering me right now is very low interest here. Members are not convinced that this is for real..

To make it clear for everyone, you should only use the wallet build version on http://builds.xcurrency.co/XcXBridge/XCBuild/ that has the file latest.txt in the folder.
The ones with a higher version number, but without the latest.txt file in the folder, are test builds and not definate yet.
So currently, the latest build of the wallet is:
