What are your forecasts for XZC 2018 ? Is this too ambitious to see it at 1000 dollars ?
i see $1000
Personally, I'm not that excited about a future where only millionaires are allowed to run full nodes of a P2P currency. But maybe it's just me.

ran some 24 hour tests on this coin. results are not even close to the estimates as others have said. and not by a small margin...at least short by 40%. you cannot contribute that to bad luck given 1) one pool has all the hashrate 2) it's so ridiculously far off.

nice to mine though with the low wattage but no thanks.

the community needs to do more about the concentration of the hashrate in one pool. i'm not sure what the best way to do it would be. it's obvious miners won't switch to other pools individually if there is no concerted effort. that would mean potentially sacrificing their rewards. however, if there is a concerted effort to move hashrate from MPH to, let's say, suprnova, then more people would switch over.

is anyone else concerned about this? let's do something about it.

Cryptopia of course Smiley
Wallet is under maintenance since a week (And the hard fork)...

You will get your coins when the new wallet will be updated.
Just be patient, Cryptopia is a bit slow with maintenance and wallet in general

The zcoin wallet on cryptopia is always under maintenance, impossible to withdraw ...

we hope that they will improve the service in this new year

I'm a big fan of suprnova.  For a few reason, they have been around the longest and I trust that they will run a solid pool moving into the new year and beyond.

I just wish suprnova could take some of the hash from MPH to reduce the variability of its block finding.

Clearly MPH has some issue with lyra2z and is returning less than it should for a given hash amount (in my experience running 300Mhash/s for multiple days yielded about 15% less returns than it should have on MPH).  I can understand why miners choose MPH (for the constant stream of small earnings). But over time they are shooting themselves in the foot by not choosing a more solid pool like suprnova.

Yeah, thats the reason why i dont like MPH.
I just hope more people will mine on supranova.
MPH may find the blocks fast but they pay much more less than other pools.

I did the math over a week using 2 rig and you get the most from MPH. I hate both pool btw...

Datapaw works well, spread the hashrate!!!We need more decentralization
I agree on this.

I don't really care about MPH having the biggest hashrate, their reported hashrate of my miners is low and payout at the end of a day is not good at all.

Totally agree with this!

Wow I only realized today that MPH has almost the complete hash power of Zcoin. Now moved to MintPond to see how it works...

You also have xzc.suprnova.cc.  Currently the second largest hashing rate and 0% fees.

Hey guys, I'm seeing something odd while mining this coin.
I'm using Ubuntu 16.04, Tpruvot ccminer.

I tried one of my GTX 1070 to mine and it shows I'm producting 1,400khs of hashes.
Now, as I go back to the pool (suprnova.cc), it only shows 700+ khs.

Is this normal?

I have a question in mintpond distrubute the reward in each Block that is found or will be distrubute at the end of the third Block? Because it seems very poor earnings until now after mining 4 days with 4 gtx 1080 ftw3 cards

According to mintpond...

"Miners will still get shares of the standard 28xzc block reward for each block. The bonus reward is an additional amount that will be distributed proportionally to all miners using the shares submitted from all 3 blocks after all 3 blocks are found."

Seems like Zcoin is now done with correction, we can start moving ahead once again now. Smiley Guessing from the graph, 0.012 BTC (new ATH) for it shouldn't be much of a problem within January.

Pooled Znodes are now available on TDAX

Pooled Znodes are available on 01-January-2018 at 9.19am! TDAX is pleased to offer Zcoin (XZC) rewards for all customer’s with Zcoin balances held on TDAX.com

Rewards will be distributed every 14 days. No ID verification is required for participating. Withdrawing XZC from TDAX during that time will reset your holding period and possibly reduce your rewards.

The amount of Zcoin deposits running Znodes can be audited. We will provide the public address for it within the next days. Rewards will be distributed to all customers holding Zcoin in their TDAX account.

Distribution details

TDAX will run Znodes on behalf of TDAX customers and will share the rewards accordingly.

70% of the Znode rewards will be distributed to TDAX customers with Zcoin balance in their account, the remaining 30% will be used by TDAX to cover the costs of running the nodes (security, server, network, backup, etc.).

Rewards will be proportional to the deposit size and time Zcoin was held in TDAX customer’s account. They will be distributed automatically every 14 days. We give time of holding a slightly higher weighting than the amount of XZC deposited.

How is the reward calculated?

Here is an example of how the reward is calculated.*

Balance in TDAX at the end of 14 day cycle multiplied by days from the first deposit (times three for additional weighting). If you withdraw all XZC from TDAX, it will reset the holding time.

If the total Znode reward for a two-week period on 14-January-21 is 100 XZC and there are only three users, the distribution reward would be calculated according to shares and distributed as per the following:

1,000 XZC deposited on 1-January-2018 by User A with no movement, holding time is 14 days and balance on the end period is 1,000 => 1,000 * (14 * 3) = 42,000 shares

1,400 XZC deposited on 7-January-2018` by User B and then sell 500 XZC on TDAX on 7 Jan, holding time is 7 days and balance on the end period is 900 => 900 * (7 * 3) = 18,900 shares

1,600 XZC deposited on 1-January-2018 by User C then withdraw 1,600 to other wallet on 6-January-2018 and deposit 1,000 XZC back to TDAX on 7-January-2017, holding time counts as 7 days and balance on the end period is 1,000  => 1,000 * (7 * 3) = 21,000 shares

Total shares will be 42,000 + 18,900 + 21,000 = 81,900 and the total Znode reward for a two-week period is 100 XZC.

A will receive reward (100*70%) * 42,000/81,900 = 35.8974358974 XZC

B will receive reward (100*70%) * 18,900/81,900 = 16.1538461538 XZC

C will receive reward (100*70%)  * 21,000/81,900 = 17.9487179487 XZC

TDAX will automatically distribute rewards every two weeks. If you have not received a reward at that time, you most likely did not hold Zcoin long enough. The holding time resets every 14 days and withdrawing resets it to zero. We cannot not adjust deposits retroactively and the system will calculate and distribute fully automated.

*Final calculation is still dependent on TDAX.com

What do you think about this feature ? Excepting the level of trust in this exchange itself, is this kind of service a good way to hold my coins and earn a small revenue for holding ? I precise that i currently hold my coins (small amount) in Bittrex and not have any revenue, and don't want to setup a masternode or even setup a wallet in my computer. But i'm ready to hold my coins for a long time.
