Personally, I didn't have any issues buying NVST multiple times from counterparty, It took a little time for the transaction to be completed each time, but It also worked perfectly each time.

It's just very cumbersome, as you first have to buy BTC, then XCP and then NVST.
cumbersome, really ? it only takes a few clicks  Grin
To be fair, crypto is usually pretty much instant. Meanwhile having to three exchanges almost reminds one of traditional bank transfers. Cheesy

Does anyone know if the temporary exchange will have altcoin v NVST pairs or will it just be bitcoin v NVST?Congrats on the wallet release which looks very professional.

They haven't given many details, but my understanding is that it'll be bitcoin. I could be wrong on that.

So, I can't import my NVST from my bitcoin address to the wallet yet ? Right ? Just for sure... I did a research on that and couldn't find a way to do it.

If you know how, please let me know.

Thanks !

No, you can't. It should be in the next update from my understanding though.
Do you know when the next update can be expected? Been a while and I still can't sweep my coins without going over the Github thingy. The beta wallet looks gorgeous, but it's still fairly clunky and missing utility.

Compared to buying NEO or BTC, it is cumbersome.

I like how NVST is so underrated right now. With the wallet design and website design these guys are sure to attract a lot of attention. I think they coud reach the mc of BLOCK aswell. Keep up the great work guys!

They are developing a temporary NVST/BTC exchange for soon so I hope that the price will represent the NVO value better
But Counterparty was really a poor choice, buy XCP and pay exchange fees, then pay like $10 of BTC fee just to buy NVST with your XCP, and wait for these greedy bitcoin miners to accept your transaction. Some people even reported things like they ordered to buy NVST for 0.05 XCP each but then the order shown was actually 0.04999999 so they failed to buy a 0.05 sell order...
Who knows how hard it will be to use Counterparty when we will have $100 fees for most bitcoin transactions... Not surprising that the NVST price barely increases...
WIth the wallet release, it should at least caught up the BItcoin rise

Totally agree - we have to wait. The question is when the temporary exchange will be ready..  before end of Jan? Any more details on slack ?

Where can you buy NVST coins?
How is this coin at only 15 M mc? It has the website design and advancements of a 200M mc coin. Great that I hear about it now when they are so undervalued Cheesy
because it is only exchangeable on counterparty dex, so that really hurts the volume being traded.

Where can I buy these NVST coins? I like these underdogs and I want to add them to my portfolio Cheesy

If I install the app on PC1, sign up...can I login with this same username on PC2? Or do I have to import wallet in some way?
not with out the wallet back up file or 12 word phrase once the 12 word is enabled.

in order to share the wallet between multiple computers:

1. Create a wallet back from the backup wallet tab on pc1.

2. Copy the wallet .dat file over to pc 2

3. Open the nvo wallet on pc 2 and select import backup and select the .dat file you copied over from pc1

NVO will now proceed to import the wallet data from pc1  and it will reload the wallet  after that you can now use the same log in as pc 1 and funds/address will all be there.

They are like from 2014...and still not very main stream.
Their github is not very active.
So dunno.

the code won't be posted on github until they either get a patent or hire a private company for auditing

I'm not sure if this qustion came up before, but how will wallet updates and forks be handle. Normal exchanges just disable wallets for a while until they update and test it. With a decentralised exchange it could be a problem coins could get stuck in the blockchain or double spent. How will this issue be prevented in NVO?
