LOL moron, that was a kidding about satoshi  Roll Eyes
and your google translator makes me laugh harder

And about portuguese section of this forum, i am brazilian and don't look that area.

I can guarantee that all members of the decred brazilian facebook group who enrolled in the airdrop received their coins.
About 15% lost their seeds.
Most will save the airdrop to believe in the future of decred.
Most of these people aren't bctalk members.
Most of the participants are buying more coins and around 400 who didn't participate too.
Or if you don't believe me, you can check with your own eyes and google translator https://www.facebook.com/groups/667062416769204/

Cara, uma moeda criada por devs do bitcoin tem um potencial enorme. Alguns dos caras trabalharam junto com o satoshi antes dele sumir. Acho que nao precisa falar mais nada.

Face, a currency created by Devs of Bitcoin has huge potential. Some of the guys have worked along with the satoshi before him disappear. I don't think you need to talk about something else.

Here's Google's translation:

It's not my Google translation but Facebook's translation, albeit they may or may not be utilizing Google's translation services.

Look dude, I have to admit that I'm not versed in Brazilian ways and all, so I guess it's quite possible that you were kidding sans the use of a smiley when talking to fellow Brazilians about doling out moneys while pretending that the devs of Decred once worked alongside Satoshi Nakamoto.

BTW, is it common in Brazil when a person ask a question or expresses a concern to first reply with "LOL You're a Moron"?

Do these steps go up?
LOL You're a moron! No, they only go down.
HAHAHA. You're kidding, right?

LOL you're a moron.
All members of that group are also members of "Bitcoin Brasil" facebook group with more than 16,000 members. https://www.facebook.com/groups/btcbr/
As I said before, about 200 people participated in the airdrop in Brazil.
Most didn't sell their decreds and bought more.
And most of the other 400, bought decred.
Bleutrade, the first exchange to add decred, did it following a request of mine. The volume in the first week was 400 BTCS daily.

"LOL you're a moron."  lol

So most of your online forum comments / buzz is in Portuguese?

Searching the word decred, the only Portuguese threads on bitcointalk that mention decred are
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wsj-divergencias-tecnicas-ameacam-futuro-da-bitcoin-1345277
and
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/por-que-o-btc-vai-subir-de-preco-se-as-altcoins-se-mostram-opcoes-viaveis-1317880

https://forum.decred.org/ has a Portuguese section. Picking one name at random Hugo Abreu Simões, google sends a person to

https://forum.decred.org/members/hugo-abreu-sim%C3%B5es.449/ first, and https://twitter.com/hashugo second. A twitter profile created in March 2010 but with only two tweets, today and 4 days ago.

Sure, it's possible. Can a person ask why the premine fanatics at decred chose Brazil?

If you have a bunch of time on your hands, read all the posts about Decred in the Portuguese section of this forum. I'd say put aside at least an hour, albeit the onus is on you as to what to do with the remaining 59 minutes and 42 seconds, more if you're a fast reader with a high-speed connection. Worst case scenario, you'll have to figure out what to do with the remaining 58 minutes.

The following is sourced elsewhere, including the translation, leaving up to you guys to declare if it's authentic or not.

Is there a command to change the wallets password or do you have to create a new wallet and import the seed?

On decred's brazilian facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/667062416769204/ already there are many people trading goods and services for decred.
if more people do the same for decred in their countries, soon all of us who are here now, will be much more rich  Grin
It would be great if in the future be developed a decentralized market running on blockchain of the currency.

Just stop pretending anyone uses Drecred. Give it a month or two and it will go the way of the other airdropped scamcoins. I wish I could short it so bad.

my magic is growing strong[er]

Quite a satisfying feeling to vote - my very first ever on a block using one of my purchased tickets. Now keeping fingers crossed for the luck of the draw. I'll keep on watching as votes keep going. Sometime I know I'll get lucky. Cheesy

Just incase anyone has a similar issue as I reported earlier.. I solved my problem by using 32 bit binaries.
Not sure why this worked, as I am running win7 x64, but it did.

I experience a problem if trying to run the commandline wallet on ubuntu 14.04.4. For simplicity I disabled TLS and RPC authentication.

First I try to start the daemon, and the logs seems to be ok:

I think you will get a faster response if you post in the technical support area of the official forum. All devs usually answer questions there

Helped, thank you!

Block 4096 now, PoS is up and running!  Smiley

What is the needed amount of coins that except a nice staking ? I have only 5,4 DCR, and might consider buying more.

DCR has no standard "passive" stacking, you need to buy tickets in order to get PoS rewards (and voting rights).

- One ticket is now priced 2 DCR (bound to increse with PoS difficulty)
- Ticket reward is = ticketprice+1.8 DCR
- Tickets last 142.2 days, at witch point you had >99% chance to win
- You have 50% chance of winning @ 28 days

I experience a problem if trying to run the commandline wallet on ubuntu 14.04.4. For simplicity I disabled TLS and RPC authentication.

First I try to start the daemon, and the logs seems to be ok:

Code:
./dcrd --notls

Then I create the new wallet file, and exit the command:

Code:
./dcrwallet --create

Last I start the wallet:

Code:
./dcrwallet --noservertls --noclienttls

The client is now logging this:

Code:
... DCRW: Connection to Decred RPC chain server unsuccessful ...
... WLLT: Unable to request transaction updates for winning tickets. Error: the client was never connected

At this time I use no config files.

Need some help, thanks in advance.
