What does this all mean for people still holding DIGI? Can the remaining DIGI be used on the new exchange next year?

Few people would dispute the notion that future commerce will be digital. But at the present time, digital goods cannot be bought in many countries due to restrictions by processing merchants such as PayPal and high commissions imposed by existing digital marketplaces.

Nice.. have the pre-mined coins being burned already. Are there plans to add DIGI to an exchange?

Update June 21, 2017:

We have been after about 15 months of development the new features for DIGI. We developed a multi-algo, example pool, a MPPT emulator and a new version of future (maybe if we decide to rollout it) ecoDIGI - the first ever coin which can be mined only of the eco-energy (water, wind, solar).

In next days we will BURN all pre-mined coins - as you can see we keep what we promised in January 2015 - the pool of 138,000,000 premined coins was dedicated for digital VC features. The market didn't understand it in 2015 and the market didn't accepted it, so the coins were unused. Currently in time of tokens and ICO on Ethereum - there is no sense to keep still the pre-mined coins:

The number of blocks found is increasing... so is there a mining pool?
But transfers are not going out. They are with 0 confirms in the wallet.

We can see several thoughts in this thread that we are out from this coin and this activity, what is simply only the inattentive observation.
Obviously such observation regards the fact we were silent here. But anybody who is smart observer was able to see our moves to grow-up a necessary eco-system is needed to have the next role with DIGI idea: BitMarket integrated with capitalDIGI, DSO system, new payment and remittance features in API of BitMarket, new markets, new version of DIGI, mobile application for BitMarket, testing colored coins integrated with crowd-trading, etc.
It was a bit large and careful development and testing place in the business where we have real 24/7 market, tens thousands customers and very aggressive (banks) and competitive (other crypto-currency companies) ecosystem. So we were very silent in the subject of our laboratory, not to proclaim our Bitcoin customers (which use trading, margin trading and swaps) about we are expanding step-by-step at DIGI is near to blockchain applications.   

Apart from careful consolidation of BitMarket with capitalDIGI - the explanation is also that we were unusual over-worked by being involved into several things which were very difficult to make it after trailer phase and consolidation with BitMarket. Not only on the level of technology, we faced many things from banks and generally operational side of our market, but we are stronger than before. 
There were difficult things for us by concerning the fact how much budget we have for it (we base only on our own funds), we were not sure as 100%. We are not guys which say always "for sure everything is possible", but we like to say about the step is forward when it is. 

The steps are done, and in next days we will describe examples of what we achieved and several use cases, including the newest role of DIGI in the above ecosystem.
