Right now i think that being removed from a site is a good thing. Let's build the volume on the other sites(let's do this on 3-4 sites max) before spreading around all the exchanges. 5 btc volume total on 10 exchanges is not interesting, we need to focus on increasing volume on key exchanges.

Not good news:

Below you will find markets that we're removing on Friday, June 6th.  If you'd like to see them stick around, the best thing to do is spread the word and get the market active again.  We generated this list based on average volume in the last week and length of time on Bittrex, or whether the wallet and network has been having trouble.  In rare cases, we'll open LTC markets for coins or give the community more time to build volume.  If you are a developer of a coin on this list and would like to keep your market on Bittrex, please contact us at [email protected]

Einsteinum: https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-EMC2

Can Dev contact them perhaps?

price is so fu*ed, what i do my 100k emc2. Angry holding this allready 2 months. 50k sold @ 100
1-2month more and this coin is dead. nothing worth.

That kind of thinking will get you nothing in the end. If your just in it for the quick buck, there's no reason to discuss this but, if you have the guts to ride it out, and contribute to the cause, then you stand a good chance of making a profit. Nothing really worth while comes quickly. Go back through the posts and see if there is something you can do to help make EMC2 a more valuable asset, you will only be helping yourself and everyone else here...

EMC2 is now a supported "tip" coin on FaceBook. Also now #89 on CoinMarketCap @ .000444

This is exposure, this is what EMC2 needs...

One of the most important aspects of a democracy is trusting in your system.

Organically formed leadership starts with bottom up elections, which produces top down management, for all around accountability,  The org must have a comprehensive revitalization plan for EMC2 in addition to a stated long-term mission, and plain language bylaws.

EMC2's first community-wide elections.

1)  The EMC2 Foundation (not The Einsteinium Foundation) - shall have a 5 member board. the 5 members shall be elected by plurality of EMC2 votes on June 12th.  Board members may also be an officer, there are four primary officers: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.

2)  Open Nominations - nominations for the 5 board seats are now open, you may nominate who you wish (self-nomination are permitted), however if the person nominated declines the nomination the name is removed from further consideration.  The open nomination period ends on June 9th at 1pm EST.

3)  Presentations - June 10th each candidates is encouraged to make a presentation to the community by indicating why he or she should be elected to the board.

4)  Elections - all candidates for Secretary work together to: determine the voting method, track and tally all votes, and certify the election.   The presentation period ends on June 11 at 1pm EST, voting immediately follows.  Voting closes on June 12 at 1pm EST.  Once all votes are certified by the Secy candidates the winning Secy will announce certified results to the community.

Alphi has contributed the following voting method for consideration:

"... one easy way you could do that is by setting up one Einsteinium address to represent each option...
ask people to donate Einsteinium to the option or options that they prefer.

50% of the vote is calculated based on the number of unique donating addresses.
50% of the vote is calculated by how much einsteinium has been collected by each address.

tally those up and you would have a fair idea of what the community wants...
the reason why I recommend 50% - 50% is to counterbalance against people who would either vote
multiple times using different addresses OR try to spend like crazy to get their own way."

5)  Get Started - After formation the first order of business for the board will be to elect its chairperson, the secretary will manage that election.  The chairperson should appoint committee chairpersons for each issue of importance that s/he feels should be addressed by the board.  The board should report to the community daily progress until such time that EMC2 is on stable higher ground.

All of the above is open for discussion and refinement.

ECAP has failed to receive overwhelming support from the EMC2 community.

If you have an EMC2 revitalization plan please present it to the community for consideration.

I will present a new plan in a few hours.

[edit changed post to update ECAP stats]

Today, June 6th is the last qualifying day to adopt this measure.

ECAP needs overwhelming EMC2 community support to work, 'overwhelming' may be expressed in any one of these 3 ways:

 - 30% of the coins in circulation (total 104M, target 31M),
 - 30% of all known EMC2 forum contributors from forum creation to when ECAP was introduced (May 28th).  The total number is ~375, 30% of that is 113
 - 66% of all known EMC2 forum contributors from initial date of EMC2 decline (~April 20th) to when ECAP was introduced.  Total ~125, 66% of that is 83

As the initiative gains community favor supporters are encouraged to start identifying issues of community concern that if implemented will have a positive effect on EMC2's market value.

The following individuals have endorsed ECAP [#as of June 6]

1)   Armis
2)   djnocide
3)   Cobra
4)   Anonz
5)   IPCoinz
6)   mdtspain

17) AcLion
18) makishart
19) etoque
20) sneakgeekz
21) chMiner
22) Oldminer
23) wizely

By my estimation the above EMC2 owners account for about 1/2 of the votes needed by coin count, or 1/4 of the votes by forum contributor count.

ECAP today left to be adopted, in one way or another the community will have spoken.

This is turning into child's play either take it or move on

See my edited response. The access will likely be handed over. Again, the community will need to determine those decisions if and when they wish to take ownership.

indeed this kind of thing should not be done lightly. handing over a wallet only means that more people have access to the private keys that control it and so more potential for bad actors to steal the funds.
ultimately the best thing to do would be to hard-fork and move the funds over to a multisig wallet controlled by 3+ (ideally more than 5) people where it takes a clear majority to actually confirm withdrawals.

Do you know who has access to the funds that were collected for the prior months donation? I may be wrong, but I dont think a donation occurred, did it?

Lets use those funds for bounties then.

See my edited response. The access will likely be handed over. Again, the community will need to determine those decisions if and when they wish to take ownership.

This is my last response in this thread for now.

If the community want's to take more ownership of EMC2 I am all for it.
To answer some questions though. The coin was not developed on contract, on the contrary it is quite the opposite. It was more or less done in the developers own time, with his own resources with his own idea/vision. It was never a contract effort. Some people joined shortly after it was developed and released, myself included. But it primarily started with the Dev who is still around, and a few people who helped him out. So please, it's best not to speculate on it's creation, and those involved. Some of us, put a great deal of time, effort, and money into this, myself included, with no financial gain, including the dev.
If you do want to reach the developer, which I highly advise if you wish to proceed.  With all that I would suggest contacting him at [email protected]. If you want to do a hand off to community ownership I highly suggest you email the developer and get in touch with Ryan in terms of the restructuring. With that being said, I highly advise working with Ryan on this going forward. I think Ryan (xhumanbeing) can become more of a resource in a few weeks.

With that being said, I cannot take on such the role I did before, my personal life is becoming a bit more active in the coming months. If you want to contact me for advice, or need information, please do. I don't personally have the time or energy to be involved as I once was.

I will not be paying much attention to this thread though...that's more an FYI. Good luck going forward, and you have my support if you wish to take more ownership of Einsteinium.

The coins value was too low to make a donation. Personally I am not going to pilfer the foundation's wallet to make a donation of a few hundred dollars, or dump the coins on the market. Which would have been the case in may, as it is the case now.
To answer where the foundation coins are, they are still in the foundation wallet, and not moving from there for the time being. I no longer manage that. Whoever ends up running the organization in the future will be responsible for managing the foundation wallet, as well as future donations, or however else the community determines how the resources should be used.
