BTW The guy you mention is not the issue, although he is well known in the community its nothing personal as you tried to say, there were 6 people from the community that started that coin, non of them support the coin anymore!
Its also about all the Israeli bitcoin community, if you name one member that didn't understand already that this coin is a scam I'm taking my words back.

I'll give a jist:

Dan is a great experienced Israeli engineer living in NY (according from Dan's facebook account and just the amount of work her put into Isracoin). Dan starts working on the infrastucture for Isracoin (Israeli first cryptocoin). Amnon joins Dan from Israel to help him. Amnon represents a very powerful semi-anarchistic and socialist political movement called Zedek Chevrati.

Amnon asks Dan to give him and his friend full access to premined millions of coins. Dan refuses I'm guessing because of lack of trust. Amnon gets angry, starts spreading rumours about Dan (if not Amnon, then who?) and without actually waiting to see if Dan is indeed a scammer, or not, decides to create his own Israeli cryptocoin called Israbit which can be done HIS way.

To anyone non-Israeli amused by this turn of events, let me tell you that this is actually standard behavior I've been seeing for many years between supposed intellectual adults.

Personally I'm behind the person who didn't start badmouthing and spreading rumours about the other person when he didn't get what he wanted...

Personally I'm much more the sit-respectfully-and-do-your-job kind of guy.

no it's not. the site says there'll be more options available. I vote for sending a photo of face next to the ID. A bit rough but simple and a great alternative to Facebook or LinkedIn.

I also vote for completely deleting all data other than an ID hash after the month passes and all ISR have been sent to that person. SECURITY IS VERY IMPORTANT!!

The registration for the airdrop using Facebook is a joke, even my grandchild can get 100s verifications
and it also kills the anonymity - IRS, Mas-Hachnasa, CIA, NSA....
I'm happy with my 38 friends in Facebook and do not wish to share my wall with 2.8 Israelites

Guys, Just an update, while you're battling with trolls, we are inundated with registrations and questions and requests and emails and bugs and so on and so on, hence why we are quiet. several bugs have been fixed and things seem to be going smoothly with the verifications of users. people are very positive about the project and we received some nice press coverage as well and more is expected next week.

We will update more here as soon as we can come up for some air

this are 2 of the Israeli group that was part of the project and left about 2 month ago after they understood that Isracoin is a scam
they did an exelent PR for a week, but then they said publicly that its an unreliable coin.
there was a big discussion about it in the Israeli bitcoin community
and some well known members even tried to help without success since there is nobody from this project that lives in Israel.
you can see all this story in the graph, this is why Isracoin lost it popularity in Israel.

1. this shity coin gives a bad name to Israel and it have no connection to Israel anymore, and since I'm Israeli its important for me that everybody will know it.
3. Everybody in Israel knows that this coin is a scam and there was long discussion about it in the Israeli bitcoin community.
4. And I have something good for you not just bad news
there is a group that is working on a real Isaeli coin and they said it will
be possible to excange Isracoin for this coin that will be call IsraBit when it will be released.
but only coins that are not from the scammy premine and only coins that was mined by the public will be exchanged so don't buy this coin but hold what you have.

as a member of the Israeli Bitcoin community I'm sad to tell you that nobody accept Isracoin because everybody in Israel understood after a week that its a Scam.
And there is one guy that is not from Israel the succeded to fool some good people from our coummunity in the first week of the coin so they did some good PR for him.
I'm not happy to tell you guys that its a scam but I better be honest with you. You should find a good and honest project to support and not a scam.
