We Got More Talent! Mihail Fedorov Joins Our Team.

During the past months Kolo has been one of the most active person on our Slack, especially on #notarynode channel. He's also a candidate in the upcoming elections.

He is working as our sysadmin and notary node expert. We will be running three development notary nodes, and Kolo will operate one of them (jl777 operates the other two).

Here's his introduction:

Namaste. My name is Mihail "Kolo" Fedorov and I'm sysadmin and developer operations engineer. I have more than 12 years experience in working with linux systems and organizing lazy developers. Previously I've been working in hosting area (shared hosting operations, datacenter operations, etc.) and in web-dev company as team lead and later devops. Two months ago I came to SuperNET's slack to help friend with what was believed to be one-time Komodo server setup. After 2 months I'm glad to join SuperNET team as a fulltime sysadmin and notary nodes network advisor. I will be glad to organize and help all node operators, debug and test software and do some devops stuff - packages, container images, scripting etc.

Welcome Kolo! Grin

Ditto!

Komodo team welcomes Nazmul Alam!

We are pleased to announce that Fadedreamz has joined the team. He is a C developer, and will be working full time for Komodo & SuperNET.

He's taking over Iguana maintenance, along with other Iguana related things, such as GUI support of the products we are developing. You can contact him with any Iguana issues you might run into.

Here's how he introduced himself:

My name is Mohammed Nazmul Alam, I have working experience of more than 5 years in a one of the fortune 500 companies, where my task was to write linux device drivers, windows device drivers,  portable framework (Android, Linux, Windows, Raspberry Pi, iOS) and facilitate end to end solution involving customized hardware. I have a BSc in Computer Science and currently expecting to be graduating MSc in Computer Science (Research Based). I really like challenging task where I can do new things and in the process learn something new. That's how I ended up being working in upwork. As I have deal with multi platform solution so I had the experience what was needed to be done for komodo platform. Now as I got to work more in depth for the komodo platform, I think it will be challenging and fun work to do with all the members. Some of my interests are: site seeing, traveling, gaming and problem solving.
I am really looking forward to working with you all.

Welcome Mohammed Nazmul Alam, aka fadedreamz!   Smiley

Glad to see our ICO funds going toward real talent, welcome!

Vote PTY Trade for NH & SH notary node  Wink

Hello Komodians,

Some of you may have seen me on the SuperNET slack channel or Poloniex. I am PTY Trade on the election newsletter. My goal is to run both a North American and South Hemisphere node.  If I am chosen as a notary node, my main goal is to spread KMD use in Central and South America. Due to Komodo’s ability to be used for business, I believe it can gain some traction. Ultimately, the goal is to introduce the entire region to cryptocurrencies and the benefits of mainstream use. Additionally, for next elections I will have the ability to spread out the locations for my servers. Obviously this being the first election it was sort of hard to find a tier 3-4 server (within a reasonable price) in countries that further away from each other. Right now I have both nodes up and running. I am also ratified on the testnet and have mined 500 KMD. I check my servers 10 times a day to make sure everything is fine. You can expect my nodes to be up 99% of the time.

Recent History:

I have an accumulated 4 years of mining experience. Currently I personally build and run mining rigs for Zcash, Dash, and Monero.

Two years ago I began working on PTYTrade. My vision is to spread cryptocurrency use across Central and South America. I am located in Panama which gives our community a great advantage since our ultimate goal is to grow and create a stable decentralized economy.

Final Thoughts:

The SuperNet is the clock, and Komodo is only one cog in this revolutionary mechanism. In the future, running a notary node in Panama can slingshot our community into new territory. In untouched countries such as Panama, Costa Rica, and Colombia, blockchain technology is barely known. The opportunity for KMD to become a preferred currency is high amongst such regions, if introduced to the public correctly.

I will not only run a node. My plan is to expand our community through marketing, educational material, and word-of-mouth.

My team and I have done the research into the costs of running a rig which can meet the demand of a notary node.

It’s estimated that 75% of the subsidy is required to begin and sustain operation. However, the cost might be reduced depending on further research into efficiency. I will not use the subsidy for granted. If I find ways to lower costs while maintaing performance, I will do it.

We are entering a new playing field and you can count on me doing what is needed for the success of this platform. I am a true believer in decentralization. Komodo is an important step towards that.

I personally think the longer the delay the better.

The underlying technology is from a third party and is brand new.

Allow testing and breakage etc on their end..

Zcash is a Komodo testnet.

Komodo could release and with the Supernet tech ready in full then it would be a great release bug free.

Komodo does not want a price graph like all other alts.

Look at ETH, Look at Nxt..

I see Komodo as long term investment and anyone pushing for a fast start is looking to bail out if komodo goes 5x.
