*Update*

As requested, users now have a new tab on the Stats page "Worker Stats" to see individual worker information!

let me know when you raise the difficulty, because with a stale rate of 10% is a waste electricity

I've made some adjustments to starting difficulty (just a 16->32 jump for now), as well as how quickly vardiff will retarget you, and the maximum size it will bump/drop you.  This should let people get to their 'target difficulty' more quickly.  Hopefully this will have a positive affect on stales.  I didn't want to get too aggressive with it, but I can continue to adjust further as I get more feedback and monitor the results of these changes.

Guys, congrats for the excellent layout, but my stale rate is above the accepted rate. The ping is excellent at 21, so not sure whats causing it. Any ideas?

EDIT: stale rate vastly improved with Q=0

Another idea: on the coin balances tab, how about a check box for "Automatically cash out daily BTC earnings"

You could just set a threshold of 0.001 on your BTC settings Smiley

This is clearly offtopic(sorry OP), but would you be so kind to share the parameters you used? I can't manage to get above 380 out of my 7870 XT. What a bad purchase!

What saves me is the used 6950 I got for 80€. After the bios modded, it gives me solid 490 Kh/s

I don't mind helping another miner out .... my settings are:

-I 13 --worksize 256 --thread-concurrency 8000 --gpu-engine 1175 --gpu-memclock 1365 -g 2

With fan speed set to 80% I am running at 76 degrees, wish I could afford a better second GPU to throw in my box, geforce 9600gt doesn't cut it for mining,  on a plus note though, I can still play diablo 3 on my mining rig using the second card Tongue.  Hope this info helps,

Sparhawk
Thanks man. It's futile though, 350 Kh and HW errors. It's time to sell this card to a gamer

After mining a bit, I found several issues:
- some coins do poorly than others.
- some coins produce 0.000001 BTC/sec while others only produce 0.00000033 BTC/sec
- does the algo take into account that we are mining the coin and adds it into the profitability calculation?  Cause it switches coins a lot.
- Some coins got high Orphans = lost production: Can this be reduced?

Copy and paste into a Spreadsheet to see it better

Some suggestions to add to the site:

- Show Difficulty rate, Reject rate % and Coin Exchange rate per round to understand why we got lower coin.
- if not factored in, modify algo to exclude our hash rate for current coin profitability rate.
- Extend the rounds to at least 10-15 minutes, the 8 minute rounds makes us lose about 1-1.5 minutes/round and in 60 minutes it can add up to 10.5 minutes of downtime/hour vs only up to 6 minutes/hour or 252 minutes/day vs 144 minutes/day.  Getting an extra 2 hours of hashing would be better.  if each round was 30 minutes, then we would only lose 72 minutes/day and gain 3 hours of hashing per day.
- Add some coins like COL, ADT, IFC (high coin amount/block)
- Add Block Finder reward (2-5%/block): It would be nice to reward those who actually find a block.  Keeps them happy and continue to mine here.
- Add a separate SHA256 Coin Multipool miner
- if not factored in, add 24-48 hours of coins/sec per coin type into profitability calculation.  This will deem which would be more profitable to mine at the time.
- As for removing coins,  only MNC is on my list.  I mine EMD, GDC and GLD so I would like them there too.

On another note ...  eeked another 55 KH/s out of my 7850 ... now running at about 405 KH/s, 445 KH/s with my cpu mining thrown in (stock clocked fx6300, debating overclocking it to get a bit more hashes out of it. Excited to see what my day's payout will be.

I've got what I think is a simple suggestion for the stats page.  Next to "My Est. Earnings" add a column for "this rate over 24hrs" or something along those lines where the time that round took is divided into the amount of time in a 24 hr period and multiplied by the Estimated Earnings column.  This gives a normalized view of each round that is easy to compare against previous rounds and other coins.  (Plus it will save me from having to do that on my side when a round completes Cheesy)

Example:
Code:
Round # Coin Length M.B. M.C. I.B. I.C. C.P.O. C.A.T. My Est. Earnings 24hrs@rate
693 GLD 00:25:16 0 0 53 2385.6 0 0 0.000265 BTC .01510 BTC
691 GDC 00:09:37 1 1000 25 25000 39.44 960.56 0.000036 BTC .00539 BTC
690 CGB 00:09:53 0 0 4 10 0 0 0.000071 BTC .01034 BTC
687 WDC 00:40:14 59 3702.07 0 0 96.15 3605.92 0.00035 BTC .01252 BTC

easy to see how each of those rounds compare even though they are different intervals of time - also, if you are storing what the Profitability number and difficulty were at the start of each round, this can give you additional data into what those numbers translate into for further tweaking of your handicap system.

Quick question: does networking influence the profits? I ultimately can choose between 3 network devices, better ones cost more or bring extra hassle: wired, crap wireless, good wireless. I currently have the rig mining in the attic with the slow wireless (4 mbit, ping 25 to a nearby speedtest host)

I've read that it usually doesn't matter for the average pool, but it does on p2pool. In this pool that switches coins that have very different parameters, does it matter?
I've been mining using a Clearwire wireless 3G/4G connection and have done just fine with just over 3MH/s scrypt and 10GH/s ASIC while running a couple of laptops and watching internet TV.  The actual mining traffic is minimal so you should be fine.

Thats showing a deposit (Credit) of 40.57 DGC to your account for coins mined, then you were sent (Debit via Automatic Threshold Payout (ATP))  40.47,  5 minutes later.

Also keep in mind, your numbers may vary if you are taking some payments in the form of original coins, and that my sample size in the above figures was small.
Thanks for the fast response.

I ran all of the wallets around 7am CST this morning and did not have anything coming into the DGC wallet.  After I made the above post, which I then modded as I remembered that I had some coins that were not in my BTC total.

I then decided to try the DGC wallet again and the coins came in.  The transaction was sent just over 3 hours ago according to the block explorer.

For others reading my post(s) here.  I am not complaining just reporting what I am seeing.  I have mined on nearmiss pools in the past and he has always been quick to explain or correct info to my posts.  Other than solo mining, I always end up on a nearmiss pool.  I like the way he handles things.

Thanks for the pools and assistance nearmiss.

This is my rough estimate over the last 3 days:  .0179, .0149, .0164 = .0164 average.
I notice the other pool seems to have done:  .024, .0095, .0215 = .0171 average.
I have not been here that long, but with +2MH/s, I am not showing the above average at this point.  I will know more after a week of mining then report my findings.

I do have a question about a payout though.  This is in my ledger ( I took out the DGC address):

         dgc   **DGC Address**   Debit_ATP   40.473886   0            0   2013-09-18 08:45:01
667    dgc                                    Credit   40.573886   0.82804   0   2013-09-18 08:40:03

Why was the payout taken back?

Seems like coins with lower difficulties seem to have worse returns... we will hit these coins with a bigger hit within the hour. We should not see these for a bit Smiley

This is exactly right - mining DGC for a while, it's difficulty would swap twice a day (on average) - for 22 hours it would be 3.x, and when the difficulty adjusted after 1080 blocks, it would drop to 1.x, at which time, all the multipools would jump on it, and the 1080 blocks before the next difficulty adjustment would happen in 2 hours instead of the targeted 6 hrs.  During those 2 hours, reject rates would soar and corresponding hashrates would plummet as the rounds went by in 6-7 seconds.  Sadly, there's not much an price-based algorithm can do to know that everyone and their brother just bombed a certain coins network with hashrate.

It might be novel to always mine the second most profitable coin Wink
