It should be no problem at all. I just tested it out in win 8 64.

Btw the wiki is updated, its "account new" instead of "address new"

Hmm, I get an unsupported 16 bit application dialogue box on both windows 8 and 7 64 bit.

Do not use web3, it is not fully converted yet.

Use the rpc interface directly.

EDIT: use the gui wallet otherwise.

Have you started the shift p2p server/client? If you follow ethminer instructions it says that you should use -F http://127.0.0.1:53901

53901 is the rpc port..

I can mine only from localhost. Other computers in my network can't connect to client. Is there any analog
of 'rpcallowip' here?
