Disagree. Genuine interest by the same people that brought you here in the first place. This will not stop until at least they can say thanks.

It seems like a determined man got to read our posts and finally convinced himself of Neos working anon. God bless you Moby, you now give back the expression 10x it's true meaning!

I saw we were left off the mintpal list, so I moved half my NEOScoin into Librex. :(Hopefully we will be added one day.

And you wrote the same into the Aero-Thread to hype a Justpromise-Hypecoin like LXC. I just say: Dumped for a reason... ;-)

No I also moved haly my Aero into Librexcoin. Smiley WHy are you taking shots at me? I love NEOScoin!

Don't take it personally. I just don't like it that LXC-Fans hype LXC in so many other Threads instead of analyzing LXC itself and asking some questions.

Let Moolah know you'd like NEOS to be considered, in the comments section: http://blog.moolah.io/2014/09/01/mintpal-v2-tentative-market-listing/

PS - Be nice about it, and don't spam. Thank you!

Prices for casino software that can be tailored for your needs range from 2000 USD(romanian firm that sells casino gambling games with modest graphics but good maths), to a couple of millions USD for large poker sites like pokerstars, which today has an estimated value of more than 5 billion dollars. Yes that is correct, the raking alone brings pokerstars about 1,4 billion every year in revenue. I, myself, consider the betting business a hell of a market that can be tapped into with brilliant ideas.

Agreed. I think the odds betting is tricky as the odds would need to be inline with what is being offered in the market. And who would be the house? And you are right, there would need to be a cap for betting as wel as a reserve pool to pay out winners.

As for the NFL pool. This one is easy to do, as you pay your entry fee and pick winners. Winner takes pot. No odds involved, so there is no chance of having to pay more than what was put in the pot.

As for other markets, european... yes the same could apply - doing a pool of games, picking winners and having a pot for the winner.

I think proper betting with odds is a bit more involved as there are so many aspects you can bet on in one game.

I posted on Twitter regarding sports betting...

I would be interested in this if it were feasible. There would need to be a house that could cover winnings and provide proper odds for a variety of markets. I'll look to see if anyone mainstream is doing this with other coins.

I know there is a Super Bowl pool going with another coin. But that isn't odd based. It's just picking a team and placing money on them to win the Super Bowl. Which might be one thing to do with Neoscoin as well.

Paddy Power is a large bookie here in the UK. Right now, they have no events to bet on in Bitcoin. So I am unsure of how they handle it. But there seems to be plenty of sites that take Bitcoin as a payment method. I can't imagine it being too difficult to do something similar.

One idea... not really sports betting with odds. But my Dad used to have this football pool at work. You'd pay $2 and pick winners from all the weekends game, and then Monday night would be used as a tiebreaker. So you'd have a pot of $50, winner take all. That might be easier to monitor without worry about odds.

Joe

i think all this would work but it would def have to be with odds and the same odds that are on real bookie sites... if we had neos as the bookie/house the odds are that the house always wins... so if we had this platform and any other coin can be used to bet on a game neos can bring in a nice profit, that can be held in escrow for future larger projects or tons of other things ... but remember this is gambling so the house can take a hit so there would have to be a cap limit... also the house would have to start up with a lot of neoscoins in case we have to pay out to winners right off the bat...

this is just talk of maybe something that can be interesting for future side projects... don't think it should be focused on , should be something well discussed and thought out and not require too much of twoturtles time Wink (cause his time is our gold)

this is mostly a project that should be mostly done by the community if they want it and of course two turtles help

edit* also before we even discuss all this loll we got to see if its even legal Smiley

Football will be a pain cause you need to figure out the odds really carefully cause a lot teams are just domonating this competitions. but its def possible , cause many websites are already putting on the odds of games way before the matches.
also a small betting fee. can make the hits on the House a lot lower. I Think it aint a bad idea at all.

Just the regulations are i think a pain , someone lives in malta Tongue

The only really good way to offer football betting on a small scale is a contract/parimutuel system (like Tradesports) where the bettors are providing the odds and funding the payouts. That way you don't even really need a spread, and the only reason you would have one is to increase action because most people don't want to stake $100 to win $10 on a lopsided game. If you do it Vegas-style there are extreme risks, and Vegas books will stop taking large action on one side of a line if they suspect something is up. You can use half-point spreads to prevent confusion and refunds on ties, and whoever is hosting the book can decide how much of a cut they want, 1-2% is fine and makes it better than any Vegas bet.

Small buy and sell walls popped up at 28100 sats and 28102 sats. Someone doesn't want the price to move  Roll Eyes

Only 15k NEOS up for sale orders in total right now that equals about 1 day mining production(14400) or about 1.25% of total NEOS in circulation.
Show me one(1) other coin where only 1.25% is for sale at any given moment and i buy you a lifetime supply of cupcakes Tongue
All the short terms quick profit whores are out by now(almost) desperate "dump panic attempts" by twitter market manipulating bastard accounts etc
only show the real interest in Neoscoin, all in this community know that long term = win and profit.

I have a feeling people see the positive similarities between btcd and Neos, anyone who sold out of the other coin early learned their lesson with Neoscoin. The best really is yet to come, development and services are still rolling.

That's what I thought. It just seems the transfer from Bittrex to the wallet is taking a long time. Thanks

is there a block explorer?

you could check the TX ID on that if there is.

also, as an aside for some reason I read your username as joe the potato

It's all sorted now. For some reason the first one took ages, the next one I did went much quicker. Should be no issue when the coin comes in from mining.

Good point. I suppose when it's done in the work place it's done very low-key. Putting it online crosses that licensing line. What if you went down the Nintendo Tecmo Bowl route and dropped names, and just used dallas v. San Francisco or is that grey area too?

If it was in big enough demand I'm sure we could retain the appropriate lawyer and figure out all of the details, but for gaming licenses, even online with cryptos I'm sure it's all gray.  I typed that and as I'm doing so thought to myself, if I'm betting Neos for Neos, I don't see why it'd be an issue.  With that being said, we're going to have some real fun in the near future. =)

     Best regards,

syntaks

Thanks for the update, that's really awesome!!!

In case you did not know, Minerals coin had an interesting and mostly working betting service based on e-sports, particularly on Star Craft 2. They made their own website with a betting platform that streamed live Starcraft games from twitch.tv. I was a big supporter but then the whole project was left to die because the developers couldn’t find a way to implement anon (what the masses desired for the price of Minerals to be competitive). It’s a good thing we can learn from other’s failure and that Neos already realized anon. Good things are sure to come!
your 100% right and i was a minerals supporter as well i liked their idea of tapping into the video game and gambling market... but neos is not a betting or gambling or gaming coin lets make that clear .... but of course why not be able to use it for a ton of things like games, etc... the more things we can use neos for the better , and i do love me some poker;)

Time for my daily stupid question. I started mining, which is working fine. But I am curious about my wallet. I sent a small amount from Bittrex to my Wallet and nothing has turned up yet. My wallet is locked. Does it need to be unlocked to receive payments?

nope, you can receive coins with  a locked wallet
