Anyone in Canada received their S2 yet? Really like to know what happens at customs, and what value it's declared at.
UPS wanted $71 and change from me.thats what i paid for 3x S1 a week ago - pretty good cheap fee

Dumb UPS. Last night routed my package from Alaska to Kentucky and I am in California. Delayed 1 extra day. Was ready to un-box today.
I don't get why a lot of people are complaining about the ethernet port placement. If you're going to rackmount it, isn't it easier to have ethernet in front just like many rackmount switches are setup?

that depends on how you setup your server racks.. i personally put my switches that i use to connect to my servers in the back top of the racks so the ports face the back of the racks. this makes for much cleaner cabling to the servers because servers have their ports located in the back of the racks.. now my mdf's (core switches) and idf's (access switches) i put the switches in the front of the racks. that is because is better for cabling from the patch panels to the switches.

Just an FYI to my comrades from UK... UPS will charge £314.15 for two S2 (£157.57 per machine)... win win

I don't think there is any issue with the price... Considering BTC is not a currency, what ever we paid in terms of BTC customs cannot request that value as they will accept BTC as currency.
Also Bitmain can only claim what ever the value they have put in the customs for insurance too...

Still a bit high but at least they are on there way and not too crazy price I was expecting $770 per machine VAT but I will take $260 any day and probably will order more when Batch 3 becomes available...
As of next week or the next I will be doing the low custom fee so always an option Cheers

It sounds more like they are affraid of bitcoin and what is gonna happen on april 15th. Lets hope they won't run out of business.

Oh the shitstorm of "BTC is property" has only just begun. If they exercise the right to apply this to 2013 I feel for the folks doing hardware sales (SSB, Canary, BTCGuild, Eligius), for any domestic company who has accepted BTC not through BitPay/Coinbase, etc.
Sadly our best hope for BTC hardware and transactions has just become overseas where reporting isn't stringent.

You can already see that s2 has a USD price converted into bitcoin, instead of a fixed price (like s1)
