Biodom you know it.
I have made the transaction from my coinbase accountand did realy took long time.
So most probably they will fix it when they go to work ?

Another thing I'm interested in is the timing for Batch 8 and Batch 9.

Batch 8 was announced to ship 20th of September or earlier ?
How come Bacth 9 is announced 18th of September ?

Waiting since early this morning for my pair of S3+'s.  UPS, signature required.  It's 4PM.  Just got a call from a neighbor.  They have two packages addressed to me on their porch since around noon.

Same issue as baykan.
Sent the payment 5 mins after placing order..
Been 6 hours since I sent payment, still showing expired.
+1

to all worriers:
1. you don't have to do anything, they usually square it out in 24 hr.
2. if you still want to be proactive, email [email protected] (not the webmaster@) and include your transaction id.
3. Last, but not least, do not pay bitmain from coinbase as it often takes an hour to post the first confirm.

Afraid,
I ordered 2 s3+ s today. Made the payment in 10 minutes. But confirmations take almost an hour.
But I do not see my payment at bitmaintech.com.
I have already sent an e-mail to [email protected] but got no answers yet.

I'm afraid guys. Any idea ?

Thanks

Anyone have issues recently with Bitmain not recognizing payments? My order has expired even though I sent the requested amount to Bitmain.

Rather concerned.

ANTMINER S3+ -B9 sales open, shipping starts on Sept. 18th  Smiley

Price:      0.58 BTC
Total disappointment. Will skip this batch at this price.
Total agreement.

and wait for what exactly? this is basically in-stock

You could order a tube at .96 BTC per 1 TH/s Or, this costs 1.28 BTC per 1 TH/s (both are similarly overclockable so I am just comparing stock clocks).  The tube is in stock and is only 3/4 of the price of the S3.  These are nice, but not worth the 33% extra cost.  Maybe 10% at most.  The tube is a much better deal.

Assembled tube is $400 plus shipping, so $430-440.
So, both cost approximately the same $/Gh ($0.55/Gh for not overclocked tube and $0.554/Gh for overclocked S3).
Tube deployment costs $34/mo more than of S3 (tube not overclocked, S3 overclocked) per deployed Th if you plug in $0.12/kw electricity cost.
The difference would be even bigger if you overclock the tube.
In addition, S3 has a solid resale market (important!) and known reliability and ease of use.
I say, advantage to Bitmain, unless you are very technically adept and will assemble tube yourself and use it only a couple of mo.

They were selling tubes for .8 each a few days ago, but it looks like CanaryInTheMine is out of stock.  It was a hard choice for me to wait until B9, and order 3 S3s instead of two Tubes, but I'd rather go with something that has more proven reliability/resale.  The fact that S3s consume less power too was a big selling point for me.  That, and I'm familiar with the web interface, which makes deployment easier.

The Ax1200i really is a top notch PSU. I didn't actually buy them for the S3 units, I had 4 left over from my Litecoin GPU rigs that I've long since shut down.

But running 3 S3 units has been no problem. The PSU fan doesn't even seem to be at full speed. They've been running for weeks.

Room temperature may also affect the draw. Our Ants are in a cool server room, which helps keep them and the PSU cool. I'm also on filtered AC Power. So voltage off the wall might also factor into it. If off the wall you're Voltage is 116 vs 110, that's a 5% increase in power input.

Our large order of S3+ Units come in Tuesday (BitMain Shipping Confirmed Yesterday).  We've bought a dozen EVGA 1300 G2 Units. I am going to see how they compare.

Hoping I may be able to squeeze in 4 Units per 1300 even if I have to underclock. I'll post results and use my kill-a-watt to get you all numbers.

Strato

The Ax1200i may be top notch, but I don't understand the desire to throw money at it unless it's for fun.

For less than half of that I can get a Rosewill Lightning Gold 1300W PSU.  I know it can run three S3s because I've used it to drive three OC'd S1s without a problem.

I think the only think the Ax1200i has going for it is it is pretty.  Seriously.  Well, alright, you can connect it up to a PC to see real time values.

Otherwise, they look identical, except the Lightning has 108A on the 12V rail, and Ax1200i has 100.4A.  Everything else important looks the same to me .. fan size, warranty, efficiency (what is Platinum supposed to get you?).  Except price of course.

Again, I ask why?

(NewEgg has Lightning at $149.99 AR, only $10 more $20 less than the equivalent eVGA.  The Ax1200i is at $329.99.)

M

I couldn't agree with you more.

Alternatively, I think the Corsair CX500 has the best bang for the buck especially when timed with the regularly-occurring $20 rebate offer in conjunction with additional promo code discounts of up to $10 at the Egg, bringing down the cost to as low as $10-$20 each depending on the list price.

Corsair will only pay ONE rebate per household per item. The cheapest I ever bought corsair cx500's was $45 after coupons etc. They are the best PSU for the price and they never burn wires. DO NOT buy the modular Corsair's though. The plugs they use are cheap and THEY WILL MELT  even with just one S1 running at 200gh.

I ran 2 sets of 3 S1s overclocked on one Corsair PSU for about a year and never had a problem with any parts melting or overheating.  Maybe Ill try the lightning out as well with my next batch of S3s
I find that hard to believe since you couldn't even buy them until the end of November and it is only September.

I have several S3's that range from B1-B6 and they all have their issues. All of my S3's have never shown Best Share, my B6-S3's do not show the correct fan speed, also all of them have given ASIC errors at some point (mostly when an overclock is attempted).

My S3's show best share but only with certain pools. My S1's seem to show best share everywhere. Would really like to see this fixed.

there is polmine raport
https://polmine.pl/getgraphdatasrv.php?gid=BTC_worker5567092517e0ed42d94cf318195e0737

Discards do not matter. CK said they mean nothing and should never have been reported and tracked in the first place. The "-" you see is a malfunctioning ASIC. It should still be under warranty and BitMain can help you fix it if the chips is bad. I got someone good when I had a under performing board and they replaced it.
Before you do all that "-" is not a dead a ASIC "x" is and even those can come back (I've seen it) power off the supply try moving your PCIE cables around. I assume your only using 2 one on each board, if your using 4 unplug 2 (if no plans to OC) and then power the supply back on. Reboots alone don't always fix S3's. I agree discards don't matter.

thanks for info.
after powering off psu and give it few minutes to rest all went to normal.
no dead chips.

is psu broken/ageing or it is antminer issue?
psu is corsair cx750 powering only this s3
You could test your power supply with this- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16899261023&cm_re=power_supply_tester-_-99-261-023-_-Product but, I do not think its the power supply.

Leaves a bit of a sower taste that someone who orders on the 19th will receive within a day or two of someone that ordered beginning of September.

I'm still waiting for my B8 order to ship. Any Sep purchases shipped yet?
If you go back a few pages, you'll see that the majority of them have.  Might check with Bitmain.

I'm a September 8 order and I'm still waiting. Considering the fact that it's 11:30PM in Beijing, I don't think it will go out until tomorrow or Wednesday. Kind of ridiculous that they opened up Batch 9 sales before they finished shipping out Batch 8 IMO.

you seem to have almost the last b8 order and since the price is THE SAME, why does it matter?
B8 was promised to be delivered by Sept 20 and you would most likely get it by Fri.
Did you look at the web site (your account). It should say "paid", otherwise it was a mixup.
maybe your miner was send already (sometimes they have a delay-up to 24 hr-in posting the info).
Go to advanced tracking in UPS and "track by reference number", which is the number that you got when you got email that payment was received.
Yes, I was one of the last B8 since I ordered on 9 Sep. Just curious of where order is in queue. Order shows paid, unshipped, valid. I tried the advance tracking and not in system yet. Will probably get by end of week. Was also hoping would get some coupons.

The argument is that you may have more btc buying the coin rather than the hardware at the current btc to usd rate.
