ON THE WAN TAB..

ok turn it off DHCP and put it on static, then input these numbers

IPv4 address 192.168.1.5
ipv4 netmask 255.255.255.0
ipv4 gateway 192.168.1.1
ipv4 broadcast 192.168.1.255
custom DNS servers  8.8.8.8

then check the box that says disable the dhcp.

hit save and apply.

on the LAN TAB leave it on dhcp client. dont change anything on the LAN tabs..

okay so the changeup in the stratum http line doesent seem to change much i still come out w this fuck ass screeen

http://postimg.org/image/m8d5b1mxv/

damn this is frustrating

ok so lets start from square one..

on the network diagnostic tab, put the pool url and try to ping it.

so my s3s do this if i have a wrong pool url, or something incorrect in the username or password line..

they dont like spaces.

damn, thank you....... so much....

tried that not sure now if any of where im at with the address line is right.... so heres pics

http://postimg.org/image/gzzpxydpf/ee64854b/
http://postimg.org/image/4ssz5h9sr/0e41049a/

ive also definitly let my worker passwords out on here as well, I thought i picked up somewhere that even if someone got ahold of those it would just allow them to mine for you anyways so it wasent a big deal...... moving forward should i change that? was I nieve af to let that out?

yes always put something in the password box.. x or 123

dont put the port :3333 on the ping test. try again with just the url of the pool.

I have the passwords eneterd that i setup on my end...ive just posted pics with my worker passwords before on here, and im just curious if I should change those? because something malicious could be done w that....or if that information doesent really matter because all theyd be doing is accumiliting money for me anyway...

anyway heres the latest... looks to be all the same to me

http://postimg.org/image/9cfmn56hh/1d9cf3dc/

also I understand I dont have pool 2 etc setup....im fairly positive that as long as my first one is correct the second two are just backup pools and should have no relevence on whether this first one is hashing or not.

ok, "bad address" that means your s3 doesnt find internet.. this is easy fix.

let me see the status overview tab of the ipv4 wan section.

and NO never use your login password for the website.. just x or 123

ehhhhhh same story... second to last firmware gives u that error headline on the software screen... third from bottom doesent however same error message on package list and now in my miner status where on the latest firmware some random 0's pop up theres now nothing

http://postimg.org/image/lxd23osl1/43a6e082/ Undecided

What kind of psu are you using? Try plugging in your miner where you know there are not many appliances on that circuit and see if that makes a difference.

his X keeps moving.. its been in 3 diff spots.

225 seems too fast for this s3.. possibly 218 would be better, more reliable.

edit, the power supply he linked is not the ideal psu to use for this kind of power needs.

plus it looks like there are only 2 PCI-E cables.. with 2 ends each, one 6 and one 6+2..
there for its like he only has 2 plugged in, instead of all 4.. since they are using the same wires.

i have plugged 4 pCI in s3 .

 Angry

may be faulty Electricity fault? if i that have bad PSU ?
You know i was thinking about your problem and it may be that where you plug your psu the circuit may be drawing too much power. Make sure the breaker/fuse box your circuit is connected to can handle all the appliances your plugging into them

ok, im gonna try and start a a new quote string here, for our scrolling sake.

Im gonna try the original firmware this morning and the only ones on there site I havent tried yet..... What in the world would I look at if None of these want to work?

heres my config page w no password... although i was under the impression it dident really matter if that got out.... im  using http://stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333

http://postimg.org/image/lnwx875mf/

thank you
If you look at the first line, it has http://stratum+tcp://xxxxx  it's wrong.  You use either http:// or stratum+tcp:// not both.

Likewise, pool 2 is missing either http:// or stratum+tcp://.
just forget that part all together all you have to enter is for example stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333

so im still having problems getting my one antminer s3+ and two s3's up and hashing after factory default resets. Every time i try and download the latest frimware, it appears to take to my mac but not on the antminers themselves. Anyone have a guide or a quick bit of some help to offer in that regard?? I have all three antminers on my network and connected to the mining pool the the miner status screen still looks as if it has the default worker login info in the boxes...... Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Cry

What do you mean by "Every time i try and download the latest frimware, it appears to take to my mac but not on the antminers themselves"?  On firmware be VERY careful but downloading it to your mac will not update the miner.  You would have to download to mac then update miner through web interface.

What happens when you put in your pool / user and click apply?  Does it save it in configuration page?
And if you have three miners you have to change the ip so all are not running on stock ip. Easiest way is to connect all miners after you upgraded them go to your routers/modem log in page and through there assign ip's to your server write these down label the miner for easy access and log in to each miner individually remember that they may reset ip after upgrade.

Firmware here
https://bitmaintech.com/support.htm?pid=007201407180243004432lBQW28O0633

There should be an manual with firmware on bitmain website. refer to manual.

Okay so Ive worked through all the problems I view as the networking side of things already. Such as Changing them to separate ip addresses, Accessing them all on the router and through there web interfaces. The flash firmware step was definitely a piece I was missing on the actual antminer, I kept downloading firmware and missing the button to apply it on the miner SO THANK YOU for that.... But ive now done that here this morning and im still showing 94 percent someodd free space here in my miner software screen..... http://postimg.org/image/6j151dtjn/73021405/

Im still not hashing but everything else seems to be connected.... When i did have one of these up and running the amount of free space was around 40%..... Does anyone know what i need to alter in regards to that potentially solving this for me?Huh

i had tons of problems with the jan 2015 firmware for the s3.
currently on the dec 19 2014 firmware on mine and they are working fine.

if you downgrade make sure to uncheck the box to keep the settings.

is that the second to last option? do you recall? im trying that now i also notcied when i hit update lists on top of that 90 percent bar... just to see what happened. I get this. http://postimg.org/image/r44w2smyn/acc76e31/

trying second to last firm update now

it seems bitmain took off the 12/19 firmware.

i think the 10/13 one had the lau bug where you couldnt hit accept.

anything prior to that had a bug where the reset button didnt work..
i can post the 12/19 firmware.. but i think dogie has it in a dropbox somewhere, maybe he can send the link.

I would really appreciate that.. or If potentially you could jsut tell me which one to grab theres six listed ive tried the last, second to last, and thirdto last ones listed...

i edited my post with the link, this firmware isnt on their site anymore.

here is the 12/19 firmware, with the updated cgminer and the text to install it
http://www.mediafire.com/download/1a4hmtrplqmw6h0/AntMiner_Firmware.rar

i claim no responsibility if you mess up your s3 flashing this.. but this is the firmware i use on my s3s.. it came from bitmain as a beta firmware.
it seems to be the most stable for me with the fewest HWE.

make sure to uncheck the box to keep settings. doing so should reset the ip on the miner to 192.168.1.99
