May the source be with you.
i received my s5 but after an hour of hashing, one of the hashboard shows 30 "-" (dashes). tried powering up one board and its the same

What is the exact make and model of the PSU you're using? Tried hard restarts [turn off at the PSU]? If that's still not working, you can try plugging that blade into the other port on the controller. Let us know.

using a dell poweredge 2100w psu. tried the other ports and still the same. the led is not lit on the hashboard.

after letting the miner turn on for some time, ~2-5mins, the problem board would start to hash. not sure what went wrong but it was not like that when i first powered the miner.

any idea if i can send just the hashboard back? would be too expensive if i send the entire miner

edit: i might have found the solution. but i am not able to understand Russian. could someone please translate for me? here's the link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=950408.0;all

are you sure you didnt accidentally plug the pcie in the wrong way.. the 2 should be facing opposite directions.
i know they are keyed, but if you are persistent you can put them in backwards.

I noticed the PCIE hashboard connecters are a slightly lower tolerance quality than in C1 or previous.

hi,

I try to get the S5 on water colling.

Can someone please check the dimminsion of the boards for me so I can find a water cooling heatsink for it.

this one is for avalon II, but maybe it can fit.

Best option in my opinion is s3 case  Cool

Ah, but would the cover PCIE connections ports line up?
No, but this is not a problem

I own a metal fab shop, would anyone be interested in either galvanized, aluminum or stainless covers for their S5s? Cardboard is a really bad idea.

I'd be interested, what kind of price do you think ballpark?

Not sure, I need to get my hands on the dimensions. I'd likely use galvanized to keep the price as low as possible. Looks like I'd need to knock out 6 holes per capping with the water jet, 4 PCI-e and 2 data ribbons. I might try to get my hands on a dead or cheap S5 locally to get proper measurements.

It would be 4 holes for the pci-e, and 8 holes for the screws since I imagine you would use the same mounting location. The ribbons would not need to be outside the cover.

Ah OK, thouhgt I'd need holes for the ribbons. Good to know. I really need to get my hand on an S5.

So, you'd be capable of fabricating water cooled sinks for S3's and S5's?

Yes, shouldn't be a problem.

I've also had someone request a full S5 case, ala S3. Going to look into that too when I find an S5.

Currently how much is the waiting time for delivery of S5 in European countries? More than 2 months? Can someone give me an approximate date please?
No, if you order right now not more than 5 days.
