Did I score the S5+ hashing boards before they were released in a product by mistake

Above are two photos of my Antminer S5 with the plastic taken off.  Now its the only
S5 I have that has this design.  It is almost exactly the same as the S5+ with the chips
having their own individual heatsinks.  I have 3 other AntMiner S5's and they are all the same
like all of the pictures taken of the miners.

Can anyone explain to me why these chips/heatsinks are different?

I had the same thing on one unit that did not show temp on one blade.  Bitmain did not care as long as it hashed right.

And I can see their point.   If you have one reading temp it can shutdown if it runs to hot.  So just keep running I would say.

 I have a question I want to change the S5 system frequency. When the high frequency I do not see any change in the hash system. Where do you think the problem is.

The main thing is the reading on your other board is still telling the fan it needs to do something. So,I think you're good to go. 

(note: One of my S3s had the same problem. However both fans run fine.  It's now 13 mths old and still hashes like it was new...and that's after running thru the winter at 500+ GHS. I just wasn't comfortable selling it off when I sold my other S3s.)

I agree, there is not much to mess with in the configuration of an S5. 

My miners are all on DHCP, running on a brand new Gigabit Broadband VPN Router with HP Procurve switches.  I recently upgraded my LAN in preparation for Comcast's new 2GB high speed internet service.  Yes, that's TWO GIGABIT INTERNET.  Its already out and I am just waiting for the installation that will bring fiber to my front door. 

I know you guys are trying your best to help me (for which i am very grateful; THANK YOU AGAIN for your time), but I have already tested and re-tested all of the obvious failure points.  I have pinged, trace rt,  and looked up every DNS & IP address from here to china. 

I have a BS in engineering and i have worked in IT for the past 25 years for a fortune 50 company.   Trust me when I say its not a power nor an internet issue.   Having said that, I must confess that I had an early 4th of july fireworks show in my bedroom awhile back when I connected the power to an S5 backwards. . . .      That's the reason for one of the bad Beaglebones.

Most likely your controller board is not coming back.  I have a feeling you will need to replace it.   It is not as good as the S4, C1 on recovering from SD always.

I tried to boot another healthy s5 with this image file (s5 image file) and it works.
so i don't know what's wrong!

Try a different PSU, i had 2 PSU identical but 1 was making my s5 run slowers, was going in the 1000gh, i switch my PSU and the problem followed my PSU, it was a termaltake if i remember correctly, i trashed since then. and now the all run nicely.

if i point the miner to a other pool i have the same problem...

What speeds do you get when you are not pointing it twords MRR as pool?  I have seen MRR slow down some before.   

Worth trying another pool to see what happens.
