It depends? I mean if I gambled once and won say a few million dollars I'd quit on the spot, no questions asked. It's a life-changing amount after all. If you were to add the condition that I was gambling for quite a few years already, considering what I think I'm capable of I probably wouldn't quit BUT I would properly budget my money. Like gamble say small amounts only while spending the rest in investments of different sorts, depends on what I'd know by then. I mean I'd probably think I have a lot of extra funds already, I reckon I can still continue gambling at a controlled pace.

You are quite good at managing your finances, it can be an example for irresponsible gamblers, you are right in saying that we must be able to manage our finances so that we can play for a long time, because if we don't manage it, no matter how much money we spend, it will run out without control and our playing time will be limited.

What I know is that it's possible to quit after winning big money through gambling. Liv Boeree, a former professional poker player, is a good example. After winning more than $3 million in various poker tournaments, she quit professional poker in November 2019 and been doing a lot of other interesting things since then.
What I know is that it is very hard for one to quite gambling even though you have gambled so many times and you have won huge amounts of money. Gambling is like a spirit a surely that spirit is still going to tell us to go back to gambling with some tangible reasons.
It is only those that have lost hugely in betting that might stand their decisions to say no to gambling because of their excruciating experience. Good experience in gambling is not a good reason for us to leave gambling but the bad ones can instigate us to say no to betting.

Quitting will always be a difficult action to do when someone has entered the addiction phase, or it can also be said that someone can be very difficult to stop when they have managed to achieve a number of wins that they always hoped for before, and usually one of the things that makes it difficult for you to stop is because you will think that you will be able to get back such a win when you continue gambling, that hope and greed will continue to drive someone to continue gambling instead of stopping and enjoying the amount of winnings that have been obtained. On the other hand, maybe what you mean by a bad experience is when a gambler experiences a lot of defeats and of course I also quite agree because rationally it is likely that a gambler will only stop when they lose a lot of money.

So, here putting out the same question, what will make you quit gambling forever? A win or a loss, or both?
At the moment there is no definite reason for me personally to stop gambling, maybe one day I can find that reason, that's for sure, for the idea you said I think it makes sense to win $100k gambling if the money is in my hands maybe I will close the online gambling account and switch to a real business, that's a lot of money for me, but is it possible to win $100k in gambling.

In my understanding, to win $100k we have to have a lot of capital to bet, whereas currently we only bet mediocre bets in the middle bet box, it seems difficult to achieve that big winning number, What we often see is loss, not victory. If I think about it, it's only time and opportunity that we can stop gambling forever.

You may never know, even if you bet small you might hit that jackpot. I have witnessed someone win big, maybe 2-3 weeks ago in a land base casinos, bet $3.00 which turn into a million dollar in a Duo Fu Duo Cai slot machine in a land base casinos.

But still if just a maybe a matter of time before that gambler might want to go back again in the casinos and thought that he can repeat that big win. Or if he is wise enough, go and invest that big jackpot win and make a passive income for the rest of his life. For me, I will definitely do the latter, and make more money by not gambling anymore so that my chances of losing it is slim to none.

Not really. It’s easy to quit gambling if you will decide to do it seriously. Done it recently when I lost interest on gambling anymore due to heavy load of work that makes me stressful and no time to gamble.

I have less screen time on gambling that helps me a lot to easier abstain. You just need to focus your mind on other things such as job in able to forget it. Remember that gambling is just a source of entertainment and not a must activity so you don’t need to think about it all the time.

If you always think that you can’t to gamble then that means you are using it the wrong way.

But then on betting home, I thought within myself if I can actually quit gambling for ever if I won a $100,000 like I said, and I concluded I can, if not for anything, atleast, for the fear of losing back all of that money to the casino.

So, here putting out the same question, what will make you quit gambling forever? A win or a loss, or both?
Maybe when you get this, you have lost more than this.
We often see gamblers showing off their big wins but we don't know how much they have sacrificed to get it, because it is impossible for them to only play with small money once in a while to get a big one.
I'm not sure what reason could make me stop, because I will stop when I want to stop, but honestly stopping completely is not easy, because of the attraction of gambling, and what your friend said is true, when you have achieved what you targeted there will be a bigger target that we will set so it is indeed difficult to stop completely.

It's quite hard to quit gambling forever because of the huge amount won. Many people who have thought of that went back to gambling harder when they have won huge money from gambling, while those who are wise enough use the opportunity of winning a huge amount from gambling to start up a good business for themselves while they still gamble with 2%-5% generated from their weekly income.

On that note, what makes people stop gambling forever is the terrible losses they have had. When it becomes unbearable for them, they look for ways to stop gambling because their losses are higher and it's affecting their finances, that they can't cope with gambling again
They want more winning so they can have more money. Maybe only people who have a big luck that can make more and more winning with huge money.
Most people will suffer to see their losses without getting their money back. So that is why people will difficult to stop their gambling activity forever unless they really want to do that and willing to stay away from gambling using many ways.
But when they lose all of their money, that could be a good reason to stop gambling forever because they don't have money anymore. But if they already addicted to gambling, that will not stop them to continue gambling because they will search for money to playing gambling again.

Since there are different mindset among the gamblers, at my level, if I won $100k from gambling I will quit gambling forever because that amount is a big amount of money when you covert it to my country currency, which it will help me to start up a good business that will eliminate poverty from my family. Don't forget that, there are some gamblers who will never quit gambling when they are still breathing or won $100k because they always want to recover all that they have lost in  the past, which even though they won $100k from gambling, it will not allow them to quit gambling.

Any day I discover my child or children is into gambling, it will make me to quit gambling forever because there is no advise I will give to that child to stop gambling when he or she is seeing me gamble everyday which it will make the child not to take my advise.

Quitting gambling is not an easy thing to do, especially for those who are already addicted to gambling or make gambling a hobby. Someone who is addicted to gambling will have difficulty and can even make themselves suffer by the process of staying away from gambling, but that is something that must be done because if not, they will not be able to stop gambling. Besides, I myself have not thought about stopping gambling completely, but currently my gambling activity has decreased a little.
In my opinion, arguing that they want to be better does not mean that they have to stop gambling, but that's up to me because in my opinion if we really enjoy gambling and do it regularly, it will not affect us on a large scale.
It is easy to quit in a moment and relapse again in a new day, gambling has been in society and condemned for many years but how to prevent addicts thoroughly, this epidemic still has loopholes to infiltrate and every year, the press can only try to propagate to reduce the number of addicts. Agree that turning serious from addiction to hobby can reduce the effects of gambling but it is difficult to say that it will be safe and there are no variables behind in the future, so give up with a reason that money cannot work in such a wasteful way

In my honest opinion, it's either a win or a loss.  This is what I learned in my life during the past few years, especially when I started being introduced to cryptocurrency - gambling, trading, investing.

If you are already at a loss - accept those losses, and never chase them again.
If you already winning - take profits, enjoy your profit, profit is already profit.

If it's both I think it's much easier, just decide to quit and stop, just stick with your decision.

It depends on the gambler though, but there are some folks that can quit gambling after hitting such amount of money, especially those that was not seeing gambling as means of money at first , so those set of people ain't addicted to it so they can easily stopped and use the money to Start a new business or to promote his business.

But there are some folks after winning such amount of money they won't quit and sometimes it can even make them to be more addicted to it making them to believe they can easily make such amount of money again through gambling, and the funny thing about gambling is that winning huge is like one in a million, because most time losses tend to be overwhelming in gambling.
Honestly, I salute those who can stop easily, for example when they have successfully made a profit from gambling, then withdraw the winnings and go to enjoy it and intend to stop gambling and then succeed because they are consistent in doing it, that sounds very good because as far as I know it is not easy to stop or stay away from gambling for a short period of time, maybe for people who are not yet trapped in gambling it can still be done, but for people who are already seriously addicted I think it will not be easy to stop or even reduce their gambling activities I think they will have difficulty.
With those who have won but do not intend to stop I think they are people who are indeed looking for profit in their gambling goals, With the profits they have obtained, they themselves can think that they can still get even bigger wins, even though there is no certainty.

What you say is true, and I agree. There are just other gamblers who are too greedy and are not satisfied with how much money they win. These gamblers can be said to be casino addicts.

Because if you are not at a high level of addiction to playing gambling in all types of casinos, it is certain that when you notice or see that you have a win in the casino, you will definitely stop immediately because you know that you have a winning amount to release, and if your gambling limits have been exhausted, you will stop immediately because you have discipline in yourself.

I could stop gambling forever if I lost big. Even, it would be appropriate to say, when losing at the level of tragedy. I doubt that you can stop playing altogether if you win a very large amount of money. Most players are passionate about gambling and enjoy it. If they treated gambling as a hard forced labor, well, then yes, a big win would free them from this "obligation". But it's not like that, no matter what anyone says.

Quitting gambling can be a big challenge and it is not an easy thing for anyone to do all this time, many people have lost a lot of money and regret every time they gamble but strangely when he wants to break free from the grip of gambling he is actually involved in it again, I think gambling addiction is no worse than someone who is also addicted to drugs which in the end he can't resist quitting doing so, I think the environment and also friends are important factors that cause someone to continue to be involved in gambling and that is why we should be more selective in choosing friends, if indeed gambling has become a habit, I think it will be difficult for someone to reduce the frequency in their games because after all the requirements of the brain has enqourage us to continue to do it until the satisfaction of gambling has been achieved, however if you are comfortable with the way you gamble at the moment and can control it, of course that is a good thing, but I think it is also important that we are always on the lookout for the signs of addiction and the negative effects that may arise from gambling.

Yes, for a gambling addict to stop their activities is indeed not easy and they must try hard to fight temptation at every step, such as resisting the temptation not to be easily influenced by the victory of other gamblers because victory only belongs to those who are lucky at that time. Indeed, the comparison between gambling addiction and drug addiction is not much different, namely both depend on activities that they consider very meaningful or profitable for themselves, but on the contrary if they use both excessively, they will get bad things and happiness will be far from them. And I also agree with you that environmental factors around us have a very influential role, such as if we are in a bad environment or in the wrong friendship environment, then we will easily follow their activities if we are not equipped with a very good understanding and awareness in preventing bad behavior around us.

If not am not mistakenly 100,000 dollars is about 167,000,000 NGN with the current rate of NGNUSD now and you think you can't become successful with this amount and still gamble? To me if such amount is won through gambling then there is need to start up businesses and open and place to keep me earning while I gamble, do you know if there would be another opportunity gambling or something relatively to this winning to come again to you? But still it's good to set some restrictions to yourself while gambling to make you gamble responsibly and you don't need to entirely quit gambling to know that you would lose that money, even though you stop gambling there are some business you would put that money and still lose them entirely so, what matters is how careful on how you utilized the money.

So, here putting out the same question, what will make you quit gambling forever? A win or a loss, or both?

Well, I didn't really totally quit gambling, I just decreased the number of hours and days I engaged into gambling. What made me do it is because of responsibilities in life, like having family and children.
Especially when you're tight in budget, it is our core responsibilities to control or totally get rid of it totally.
Another thing that could make someone quit gambling is when health is declining. This has been one of the main reason before in a physical casinos, but with the online gambling now, even those ill can be able to gamble, so I'm not really sure what makes another man quit gambling, especially if that person doesn't have any sense of responsibility.

This is a nice example of how someone after winning a lot of money stopped gambling... with a very nice conclusion at the end "since then he has been doing other interesting things". Whether someone wins a lot of money and quits, or someone just loses it doesn't matter... the point is that there are many other interesting things that someone can do.

The bottom line is simple, those who want to quit gambling will find something that is interesting to them and focus on it... on that something they will spend their money, time, and energy. Someone just needs to want that change in their life enough and have the will to take the first step. It might be hard at first, but day by day it will get easier...
