all depends on the market situation, I guess. if possible to play short term why not? because if you play short term it is likely to get more than 1x profit quickly. but if you are stuck at a high price, the alternative is holding until you can return to capital or wait until you get a profit or even choose cut lose to minimize greater losses.

here everyone chooses himself which is more convenient for him, but I prefer long-term investments they are more convenient and do not require much time

Im all in long term in some of ICOs the are ongoing now ( Ubex and Ingot). Explaining why: most of alts have dropped very hard recently, most of them went far away of their ICOs price and doubled the ATL already..Such tokens would not survive and would not rebounce but the modern ICOs like Ubex with 5000+ contributors have huge hype and big opportunity for growth as it has not dropped in price
Invested in Ubex as well, so huge hype around the project...According to my experience such project alwatys make big spikes immidiately after the listing.
Will sell 50% of holding on such a spike and the rest will hold long term

to me everyone have their own choice but to me i think long term investment has more advantages as compare to short term investment. in short term investment there is always risk of losing money, but in long term investment there are more chances to make money instead of losing your own money.

I always see market conditions, if the improved market conditions are short term it can be an option because it certainly provides convenience. but if the market conditions are not as good as now, whatever coins I have must be held long-term to get maximum profit.
Yes, I agree with your opinion that long-term and short-term trading depends on the market situation. In my opinion, currently the Bitcoin market is unstable and it affects the altcoin trade so short-term trading is highly recommended.

BBOD - The Best Crypto Derivatives Exchange

I think that short-term investments in the cryptocurrency market will not be profitable, even if we are losing money. The reason is because the market fluctuates very fast, its price changes every hour. So I choose long term investment. I believe that in the next few years this market will grow strongly and the price of crypto will be very high. So from now on I will buy and hold the potential crypto. I will buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, Stellar and Cardano.

I think at this point the best option is to be very diversified and be in this for the long haul. Although there will be some quick gains , I do not believe that will be as prevalent as in the past.

The main task of the exchange player is to determine the most profitable strategy. Options for earning on the stock exchange today are not limited to trading games and investing, and it is possible that, having understood a little, a person will find a more suitable option for himself. But if not - speculation and investing also need to be wisely.

I am trading once in a while because I have coins in exchanges. Sometimes I buy and just wait the coin to go up in value before I sell, of course I know it is in dip. Now, which is better, set it to your expected price so that when it hit you sold? O wait for the price to go up and sell even if it did not reach yet to your  target price? Thanks.
I personally tend to the long term, if I am wrong in research and prices start to fall I keep it until they return or at least approach the initial price of what I bought. very rarely do daily trading because crypto market is very difficult to predict, everyone may feel the same. depending on the choice of each, there are people who are willing to keep it until the price rises and exceeds the initial price even though in a long period of time.

Long term all the way there is no short term profit right now in crypto the market is very slow . Once it picks up you can see some profit from trading or shorter holding . But I still stay with my strategy of holding it has worked so far

I prefer short-term trading because I think that holding coins for a long time in a bear market will be more affected, although short-term trading profits are lower, but safer!

Borderless for People, Frictionless for Banks

When I enter the cryptocurrency market I choose long term investment. crypto is a fast-paced oscillator that changes every hour of the minute. However, I believe in the future this market will grow strongly and bring a lot of profit to investors. so I long term investment to get the most profit. I believe that by the year 2020 Bitcoin will cost over $ 30000 and altcoin prices will also be very high.

It makes no sense to invest for a short term unless that you just want to make as much money as you can in less than 1 week (which will probably lead you to huge losses) but yes, holding for a long term is the best thing that you can do.

I think you have to be calm and patient, yeah don't be too obsessed with getting a short time profit in trading because it might hurt you. if the market conditions and situation are chaotic and risky, then don't force it to continue trading, there are times when you have to hold...

Personally, I think that now it is necessary to adhere to the tactics of short-term investors, because the market is not yet stable and it is better to make money on short intervals.

I combine two options to always be in a small win, rather than constantly monitoring losses. I have certain coins for day trading, which do not fail me and I have time to drop them at a 10% -15% fall. And then you can already strengthen the positions of top coins, the more the price is appropriate.

I prefer to sell my coins even if it doesn't hit the desirable amount but still could earn a good profit. I think it is much better than to hold it longer and see the market falling back. At this moment that the market is recovering, some investors are taking advantage of this.

I am mostly long term for most positions. Only sell when need to switch from some coin to another one or if the pump is too big to not take any profits.

For me I am a long term and short term trader, I buy coin when the price dips and I will wait until the price increases to my satisfaction, i don't normally set a sell price, I leave and sell when i like.

It depends on the situation. If we are on the bear market, I make long-term preferences. But if I am in the bull market, I make short term choices.
