Indonesia is my country, regarding indonesian football is indeed developing.

I am quite happy with Indonesia's success in qualifying for the Asian Cup, but I am a little worried about their performance. At the Southeast Asian level, Milan still struggles against teams like Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, while in Asia there are more strong teams. The possibility, Indonesia to qualify from the group qualification is very small, but hopefully players from our country can give a surprise like when they beat Nepal.
As an Indonesian, I am also quite happy with Indonesia's qualification for the 2023 Asian Cup. Although we don't know who will be the opponent yet, I can't wait to find out the results of the group draw.
Indonesian football is on the way to getting better even though at first glance it will be difficult to qualify for the group phase later.

I am rooting for Indonesia or Japan because these 2 countries are dominating the whole cup since years ago,

so Maybe I will go for Indonesia this time though Sadly our country is not part of the Asian cup.

But i have full respect in Japanese players as they have proven their skills over the years.

I think you mean to say Indonesia instead of Milan Smiley Coming up to the chance of Indonesia in the Asian Cup, I would not expect too much. They could go this far is more than enough already. At least they have shown something better than before (improved). Their chance to go further is indeed small, what they should do is do their best no matter what would be the result. Not to lose all matches in the Group Stage will be enough for me as Indonesian supporter.

I would rather go with Australia. IMO, they are the strongest team from AFC irrespective of the FIFA ranking. Tim Cahill is no longer playing for them, but in terms of skills I believe that they are much ahead of other Asian teams such as Japan, Iran and Saudi Arabia. The good thing is that this time a total of 24 teams will be taking part, and that will ensure that more populous nations such as India, China, Pakistan and Indonesia will be able to qualify. I am glad that my own country (India) is participating this time (we had participated in the 2019 edition as well).

Indonesia is a big challenger this year but there are still strong teams from different Asian countries that might surprise us. Just like what happened last season, there are silent teams that turned into a giant threat to other teams which was too surprising. I guess it's still quite too early to predict things but we should watch out for new teams because they might change our expectations.

But the most interesting thing is Indonesia, this country has been absent for 15 years in the Asian cup performances, so for now they are back in, mathematically Indonesia is not superior in the Cup, because indeed the quality and flying hours for Indonesia are quite doubtful in the Cup. .

Indonesia is my country, regarding indonesian football is indeed developing. Statically, Indonesia is not favored. Indonesia is ranked at the bottom for the 24 AFC participants in 2023. But I am amazed by the current new Indonesian coach. After they qualified for the AFC they reached the 155th place in FIFA.
I hope that Indonesia can enter the knockout phase even though it is difficult. They are currently in the process of naturalising several players playing in europe, Jordi Amat, Sandy Walsh, and Shayne Pattynama. Maybe they can play in the competition.
In addition, they are also looking for other European players who have descendants of Indonesian citizens who want to play for the Indonesian national team.
This is a pretty good step taken by Indonesia, but football is not just a matter of naturalization of European players, because the strength of the team is built from the experience of players, coaches and mentality, 15 years absence in AFC for Indonesia, this is a long time to develop, Indonesia it will take time to make changes, starting from players, flight hours and centralized training, because most Indonesian players have difficulty getting into European leagues. Even if there is, it is not very developed, but it should be appreciated for a great achievement for Indonesia

South Korea possible will be the next host for this tournament and through an their football federation they officially will apply Expression of Interest in the near future in my view although only 1 year remaining i think South Korea will be successful as host especially their government really support this moves however South Korea used to as a host in 1960 and at that time they were can successfully get the trophy and as a host in 2023 they will be strong candidate to win this tournament especially in their squad there are several players who have world class quality

As an Indonesian, I support Indonesia in this tournament because our qualification to the Asian Cup in 2023 is history after decades of absence.
Many people doubt Indonesia's ability, but I am still optimistic that our country will try to go as far as possible in this tournament and our capacity is definitely above several other countries that are included in the 24 Asian Cup countries.
I am also an Indonesian, but I still have doubts about Indonesia's potential in this Asian Cup

Tae Yong is a pretty good coach but the management of PSSI (Indonesian Football Association) still has a myriad of problems inside

Anyway I still support Indonesia, at least to be able to advance to the semifinals Grin

I am not well versed in the matches of the cup in Asia, but is it not very difficult to always have to play football in these tournaments under extremely hot conditions? if matches are played in Europe with more than 35 degrees, there is even a drinking break. I think that comes at the expense of the level in Asia, I think those teams would be much stronger otherwise. Are there teams that can force a certain participation in a final tournament from this cup?

After decades of absence from the Asian Cup, the Indonesian National Team is now back in the championship between the countries in Asia. Even though the Indonesian National Team qualified as the best runner-up, this is an extraordinary achievement after they last qualified in 2007 as the host of the tournament. In this event, although there is still a lot that needs to be improved, especially from the physical appearance of the players who are easily fatigued as we saw in yesterday's qualifying event, with a very long rolling time, we must immediately improve with the many shortcomings of the national team retainers.eagle

In my opinion, I think Australia will be likely candidates to win the championship as in previous competition, they have been impressive and this one will be no less.
Japan could present a strong front, but honestly, if pitted against each other, Australia will come out winners.
It's very good now after many years we have thread for Asian soccer even most of the members are not well aware about ground realities of Asian Soccer but still it's good we have something to start and talk. Asia has never been good in soccer just Korea, Japan done good job and now after Australian entry in Asian region surely it's going to increase some quality even it's not easy and not going to happen in just three, four years, but I am happy with this all.

Gulf region countries are also investing some good money in this game, and recently we have very good news from Qatar League and few other leagues specially good that Qatar is first country from this region who is going to host WC but here we are talking who is going to win Asia cup, so I am going with Australia and Japan because these both have very good squads, and they can clinch this trophy.

Isn't it still too long to predict from now on because considering that we are still in June and it looks very early to make predictions for the 24 countries that will compete in the 2023 Asian Cup? Because I'm referring to the schedule so to say it's still very early to make predictions and it will be a bit more difficult to know who will come out as champion.

Actually, it is too early for this topic.  But well, it will give us a long discussion anyway, I am looking for 1000-plus pages of this thread even before the Asian Cup started.  For sure we will be rooting for our home country to be the winner of this cup

When viewed from the implementation time, the biggest tournament event of the Asian continent is still one year away. But to have a discussion on the sidelines of a big league break, I don't think it's wrong, my friend, as proof that we like football.

So we will have a year-long discussion of speculation about who is the best country in our minds Grin.  I bet we won't get tired of this kind of discussion besides this will be counted in our daily post quotas.

Still, I think this topic isn't necessary atm.

I also don't blame you for this, just letting you know that the time is still very early although it is still possible to discuss about the biggest tournament event on the Asian continent from now on because there are so many football fans in Asia right now.

In principle, the fact that the topic will become "hot" only in a year does not interfere with a calm discussion of the forces of the teams and what is happening inside them. In my opinion, the main problem is that the hottest topic that will be ahead is the World Cup, and against the background of this, the prospects for teams in the Asian Cup (taking into account the fact that some of them will play in the World Cup) are of no interest to anyone until the end of this most important tournament.
I think that's also the case because a lot of people (football fans) are currently waiting for the world cup to come so it's more in the spotlight now than the Asian continental cup.
Although the Asian Cup is also very interesting to discuss because there are 24 countries that enter it to become champions.

I keep favorite with my country Indonesia and hope this time after 15 years not participants on Asian Cup and last time qualify by the host of Asian Cup 2007 and get automatically ticket without qualify round.
I salute you when you favor your homeland (Indonesia). But from what is seen in the list of next year's Asian Cup, it looks like the opponent this time is a little tougher for Indonesia. And I'm also happy if Indonesia can win the Asian Cup.

Asia is one of the continents that has football fans. The 2023 Asian Cup will be held in China from 16 June to 16 July 2023.
There are 24 countries will compete to win the title of champion. From this tournament will be born players with extraordinary talents who will make the name of each country smell good.
Out of 24 countries, who will come out as champion?

there are several new participating countries in the 2023 asia cup tournament after a very long time not qualifying in the qualifying round, this adds to the bustle of football in asia.  I think it's too early to predict which country will be the champion, but if I guess temporarily regardless of the match, I predict Japan and Iran will enter the semifinals

Sunil Chetri the Indian legend and  was the top goal scored in the 3rd round of qualifications. He is currently tied 5th as internation goal scorer and only 2 goals behind Messi in 4th. India did have a recent scare of being banned from International football since the Supreme Court had to get involved and remove the current head of AIFF and a huge mess with Indian footballing scene.

Latest news suggests that FIFA, AFC are happy with the AIFF and would most likely not ban Team India from competing in International events.

It is still too early to make predictions, which country will win the Asian Cup. However, there is nothing wrong if we want to discuss, in Japan's experience, Saudi Arabia and Iran have the potential to come out as champions, because these three countries are the most competitive and often come out as champions. because the players have started playing in Europe, the comparison of the quality of the players with the winning mentality, I think it can't be denied, these three countries have much greater opportunities
