Before now there has been rumors of the possible winner of this year's Balloon d'Or not going to be vinicius junior, some have said it's going to be Rodri because of the English premier league title he won with Manchester City and the Europe 2024 he won with the Spanish national team, a feet a lot of people will argue that is enough criteria for him to use. On the other hand, some others are of the opinion that, vinicius junior won the la Liga and also was instrumental when Real Madrid won the championship league title last season, However the Award is an individua award that recognizes one's uniqueness in terms of play and achievement made during a calendar season. For the entire Madrid club not to attend the ceremony, is something I will frown at, because in the spirit of fair play, they are supposed to attend, not minding that their own is not going to win, that's if truly he is not going to win.

I don't agree to your assertion that Real Madrid influences the results of the Balon D'or over the years because all the former players of the club that won it in the past rightly deserved it. The club management's decision not to go to the award ceremony today after it was confirmed that Vinicius Jr will not be winning the coveted award I think was a good way to protest the organizers resolution not to award Vinicius Jr or another Real Madrid player the prize because they actually deserve it more than any other footballer including Rodri of Manchester City after a successful season that they won the UEFA Champions League and the Spanish La Liga.

If I should make a rearrangement on this list, my idea would be Bellingham at the top after which kane should be the next then mbappe and foden, others can come after, Haaland just started been impressive consistently,, although he has in his previous teams but talking about adding consistency to the game, he started recently after coming to Manchester City meanwhile the most consistent of them all should be kane, even in the midst of a team that was struggling at some point, Kane didn't fail to make personal achievements that kept him standing out in the whole of their league and sometimes across Europe, I think he's been consistent enough to be deserving except for outstanding brilliance Bellingham shouldn't be topping that list, this is my opinion though.

this is one of the most shocking news I've come accross in a long while. After an incredible performance and almost looked like there's no other player that's competing against him for the balon d'or? The only tangeable reason for this would be that his personality on the field doesn't fit one that should be given the balon d'or outside of that, there's no better justification for this kind of decision. Since all Madrid players are out of the way, It's now a rodri show Tonight. If they gives it to rodri, that's fair enough but any oth r person outside of rodri doesn't deserve to lay a hand on the balon d'or.

This decision is going to spark a lot of discussion how how far the football world has delt with the issue of racism when we consider that that's a possible course to vini jnr being left out of this award. For next season, it's certainly going off from Madrid and likely, one of this rising stars might have an eye on it. Let's just assume that there's a possibility that this news is not completely true and that vini still has a chance of winning this balon d'or.

We have outstanding young players that's playing their best to ensure they grabbing good stats in major tournaments but unluckily for them, some favorable elite teams have been eliminated and most of the leading players on the lists are playing for this clubs. With the absence of Manchester City from the UEFA Champions League, that officially means Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Rodri are out, we only have Harry Kane, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe that will become rivals for the title run. I'm hoping to see Real Madrid vs Paris Saint-Germain in the UCL final this season. Ballon d'Or is an important award and entitlement for brilliant players.

I don’t want to shout robbery but what did Messi achieve within the timeline (19th Dec 2022 - 20th August 2023) under review that makes him merit the award ahead of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe? FIFA should rename the awards to football popularity contest because that is what it is.

The award is given for a year (as the name suggests) and here even more questions arise - a significant part of the time, while Mbappe, Haaland, Bellingham, etc. showed themselves in the game Messi was lying on the beach as Inter Miami flew past the playoffs.
